20-year-old Robert Mitchell Hurwitz is charged with strangling Jacob Cox at Jason Aldean’s bar in downtown Nashville Sunday. Police ordered him to stop, but he continued the assault as they approached. Police to Hurwitz, who is visiting from Florida, into custody and transported him to booking.

Olivia Cooper Simmons arrested in FGL House Brawl in downtown Nashville

23-year-old Olivia Cooper Simmons faces a multitude of charges after police arrived at the FGL House bar in downtown Nashville and found her clothing covered in the blood of a person they say she had just assaulted. The female victim was still bleeding profusely from the face when police arrived at the bar. Once at booking, Simmons attempted to shatter the patrol car window with her boot and cracked the door panel, and tried to kick and bite the officers. Her booking had to be delayed due to her aggressive behavior.

Woman pulls out tampon, uses it to assault paramedic in ambulance — Seairra Reiter

24-year-old Seairra Reiter was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Sunday on multiple outstanding warrants charging from a prior incident during which she was transported via ambulance. Police say she became aggressive with EMS personnel and was kicking and spitting on them.

Once in the back of the ambulance she removed her tampon and used it to assault one of the paramedics.

Bengals fan punches stadium security guard in the face — Keith Collins arrested

Bengals fan Keith Collins was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday after he and another fan were in a verbal altercation in a parking area, and when Apex Security Guard Roberty Wiley attempted to de-escalate the situation, Collins punched him in the face.

Officers attempted to issue him a state citation, however, he refused to sign it so he was taken into custody.

Man assaults girlfriend with pizza to the face— Charles Stafford arrested

21-year-old Charles Stafford is charged with the domestic assault with bodily injury of his girlfriend, Quinn Robbins. Police say the couple got into an argument Saturday, and Charles threw a glass of water on the victim, and a slice of pizza at her face, leaving a visible injury which police documented.

Stafford remains jailed on a $1,000 bond.

Man charged with assaulting bouncers at Rippy’s Bar — Brandan Owen

30-year-old Brandan Owen faces multiple charges after police say he assaulted two bouncers at Rippy’s on Broadway in downtown Nashville, striking one of them with a glass beer bottle. Owen told police he was held down and kicked by the bouncers.

The argument started after he was asked to leave the bar for being disorderly. Brandan Owen is free on a $3,700 bond.

22-year-old Michael Diaz was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail this week after he was involved in a fight on the rooftop of Nudie’s Honky Tonk in downtown Nashville. Security attempted to break up the fight, and Dian reportedly grabbed onto the outer carry vest worn by the security guard, Charles Farris, then punched him in the face and broke his glasses.

Man charged after making threats & smashing glass at Dirt Cheap Discount in Madison — Kaleb Elliott

Police say 21-year-old Kaleb Elliott walked into the Dirt Cheap Discount Store in Madison and caused a disturbance with employees. When asked to leave he repeatedly and aggressively shouted “I’ll slap the shit out of you” and advanced on Neioki Key in an aggressive manner, causing her to fear imminent bodily injury.

As Elliott was leaving the store he punched the glass door to the business, shattering it. He fled the scene and led officers on a short chase before eventually being taken into custody. Elliott is jailed in lieu of an $11,000 bond.

Drunk man with gun threatens to kill store clerk, police let him walk away, he then assaults roommate — Shabazz Mallison

26-year-old Shabazz Mallison is jailed in lieu of a $72,000 bond after police had two interactions with him Wednesday. Officers first encountered him at a South Nashville 7-Eleven when he threatened to fight and kill the clerk. He was released from the scene after the clerk chose to not press charges.

One hour later, police were called to his home where they encountered him armed with a handgun on the front porch, yelling for cops to “shoot me! shoot me!” while waving the gun around. He had threatened a roommate, Shameka Watson, and another woman with a gun while pointing the laser sight at them. During the argument he reportedly also threw a Yankee candle at her, leaving wax on her face, and she used a chicken pan on him in self-defense.

Mallison is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment/assault, and possession of a handgun under the influence.

Man asks wife to “eat the bullet” so he doesn’t have to “scatter her brains” — Wes Migletz arrested

50-year-old Wesley Migletz is charged with domestic assault with bodily injury after police responded to his wife, Winny, who was hiding in a nearby parking garage. She explained her husband was threatening to carry out a murder/suicide. The wife played a recording on which Wes can be heard saying “you are a parasite, if you had any decency you would eat the bullet and not make me scatter your brains” before punching her, and her crying out in pain.

Officers documented the victim’s injuries and located Wes Migletz walking his dog nearby, and took him into custody. He is free on a $2,500 cash bond.

Man charged in brutal beating of neighbor who he says used derogatory slur — Bruce Kelly

28-year-old Bruce Kelly was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on December 23rd after he brutally beat up his neighbor who he says offended him by using derogatory slurs about sexual orientation.

Kelly reportedly overheard his neighbor, Zachary Rose, make statements he was uncomfortable with and followed him up the steps and into the victim’s apartment, where he allegedly pushed him to the ground, got on top of him, and repeatedly punched him in the face multiple times. When interviewed, Kelly stated: “I don’t really remember what happened, I beat him up though”. Kelly is charged with aggravated burglary and assault and is jailed in lieu of a $4,500 bond.

Teen charged in assault of boyfriend & Opry Mills Nike Store Theft — Tyniya Givans

18-year-old Tynia Givans was booked into the Metro Nashville jail this week, charged with the domestic assault of her intimate partner, and father of her child, James Coleman. Police interviewed multiple witnesses, including Shemeka Eddie, Walter Welch, and Anniqua Steele. In the end, it was determined that the couple was in an argument on 14th Ave N inside a car. James eventually exited the vehicle, and his mother, Shemeka, agreed to drive Tynia home. As he exited the car, Tynia is accused of grabbing his hair while yelling at him, and attempting to assault him, however, his mother came between them and intervened.

At the time of her arrest, Givans was also booked on an outstanding citation for theft, from a November 2021 incident in which she was found to be fleeing the Opry Mills Nike store with $902 worth of merchandise she had just boosted. She made it to the parking lot and hid behind a car before being issued a theft citation at the time, for which she never self-booked on. She was given a $500 bond on each charge and posted bail the following day.

20-year-old Kenneth Douglas is charged with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Destiny Tanner. Tanner says the two were arguing and Douglas was intoxicated and becoming more and more irate. She agreed to give him a ride to his sister’s home in South Nashville, and while they were en route, he reportedly threatened to hit her in the head with the bottle of liquor which he brought with him. She says she was placed in fear of bodily injury, and police responded to the scene. Douglas was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with domestic assault – fear of bodily injury, and is free on a $3,500 bond.

East Nashville Mother held minor child’s wrists while kicking her shins during assault, per report — Cheryl Holt a

47-year-old Cheryl Holt was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Tuesday morning, charged with the domestic assault of her minor child. Police say the minor child took her mother’s phone away from her because she was attempting to text threats to a third party. The minor returned to her bedroom, at which point Cheryl reportedly screamed at her from the hallway then punched her in the face and slapped her in the face. She then reportedly continued the assault by grabbing and holding her wrists while she kicked her in the shins. Responding officers observed and documented injuries on the minor child, as well as the apartment being in disarray. Cheryl Holt was transported to booking, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury, and is free on a $1,500 cash bond.

Intoxicated man jumps into stranger’s car downtown, gets tased twice — Baldemar Rivera

21-year-old Baldemar Rivera faces multiple charges after a wild scene in downtown Nashville late Friday night. Police initially responded to what they believed to be an attempted carjacking. The victims stated a young male jumped into the passenger side of her vehicle. Believing she was about to be carjacked, she fled the vehicle and took the keys with her. A male from the vehicle then tased the young man, identified as Rivera, to extract him from the vehicle. Rivera then came back toward the male in an aggressive manner and was tased a second time, causing him to flee the scene. He was spotted nearby and taken into custody. During the incident, a 3rd victim came forward stating Rivera had kicked a dent in his vehicle. Rivera was charged with public intoxication, vandalism, and assault. He is free on a $5,000 bond.

25-year-old Jaime Aquino was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Monday after an altercation at his job this weekend. The incident occurred at 921 Woodland St in East Nashville, where both parties are employed. A disagreement led to Jaime reportedly breaking a glass much over the head of Joshua Sinha, which required 13 staples to repair. 30-year-old Anas Alhams is charged with aggravated assault after video captured him using his vehicle to strike a woman working as a traffic security officer at the Opryland Hotel Saturday. Alhams reportedly was upset that he was sitting in traffic and began to go around the traffic, turning into a non-public area of the property that was a dead-end. As he realized he had to come back out, he ignored both cross-traffic and the traffic officer responsible for the flow, and lunged his vehicle toward her, striking her in the leg as he fled past her at a high rate of speed. He was booked into jail, charged with aggravated assault, and is free on a $15,000 bond.

24-year-old Thomas Mathews was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Sunday morning after police observed him exiting Nashville Underground at 105 Broadway, and pushing both patrons and staff, being unsteady on his feet and causing a disturbance. 38-year-old Barquita Williams is charged with assault after she pushed a man to the ground who confronted her when she illegally parked in a handicapped parking spot at the Inglewood Kroger. Video footage captured the incident, and a citizen captured her license plate number, leading police to make the arrest. She is free on pre-trial release. Earlier in the month, Williams brought a handgun to an East Nashville High School where she got into a fight on campus.

25-year-old Blake Solarek is free on a $75,000 bond, charged with 5 counts of sexual battery, 3 counts of rape, and 1 count each of assault, aggravated assault, and aggravated rape. Blake is the son of divorcing Nashville socialites Troy Solarek, of The Dotted Line, and artist manager Mitch Solarek. A Grand Jury indicted Solarek on all 11 counts earlier this month, and he was taken into custody Thursday, and immediately posted bond via Grumpy’s.

The Grand Jury indictment alleges all the incidents occurred on January 1st of 2021, charging Blake Solarek with 5 counts of unwanted sexual contact with then 18-year-old M.N.Y., 3 incidents of sexual penetration without consent, he caused M.N.Y. to be fear injury from being strangled, caused injury from an additional act of penetration of M.N.Y., and caused other injures to the victim. Solarek is represented by Byron Pugh.

27-year-old Shonda Reid was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday, charged with the domestic assault of her husband after she punched him in the face. Her husband, Zeico Reid, reportedly came home after sleeping at a friend’s house overnight to pick up some clothing. When he entered the apartment, Shonda became irate and they argued. As Zeico attempted to grab some clothes to leave again Shonda punched him in the face with a closed fist, leaving a visible injury. She is free on a $1,000 bond.

33-year-old Eric Randell, who lives with his mother, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday after telling her he would “sharpen a spoon and cut out her heart.” The argument reportedly began when she confronted her adult son over what she described as his “drinking problem.” She asked him to leave her home after the incident, at which time she says he slapped her in the face, causing an injury to her lip. Police took Randell into custody, charging him with domestic assault. Randell remains jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

18-year-old Aleena McCrary was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday after she appeared at the home of her ex-boyfriend, and carved the words “DIE B**CH” into the passenger side of his car. As her ex-boyfriend, Kendrick Alexander, came outside and began to argue with her she grabbed a hammer and chased him around the vehicle, and smashed out a window. She also demanded the female who was at the residence, Latoya Moore, to come outside and fight her, and punched her at the door. McCrary is charged with felony vandalism, assault, and felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is free on a $12,500 bond.

Man assaults East Nashville neighbor with shovel and dirt — Jackie Cook, 68, arrested.

68-year-old Jackie Cook was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on two outstanding warrants for events that occurred in March. Cook was in a dispute with his neighbor, William “Bill” Crump. Their properties share rear alley access between the two. Crump was reportedly upset that Cook was shoveling dirt onto the alleyway, which Crump alleges is part of his property, and property maps appear to confirm. Cook realized their interaction was being recorded and became upset, using his shovel to knock a cell phone out of Crump’s hand. Cook then drew his shovel back as if he were about to strike Crump, and advanced toward him. Video shows this and an additional attempt to strike Crump with the shovel.

Two weeks later, Cook was again shoveling dirt onto the alleyway, and as Crump attempted to remove the dirt, Cook shoveled two scoops of dirt onto Crump, which was also captured on video. Cook is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the first incident, and simple assault for the second. He is free on a $6,000 bond.

Man charged in horrific sadistic assault of girlfriend, steals all her things — Joel Jones jailed on $45K bond

42-year-old Joel Jones is accused of stealing his girlfriend’s Jeep Patriot, cell phone, purse, wallet, Ruger handgun, and removing $2,000 from her bank account. She said she believes he was ending the relationship and had no intention of returning anything, because before he fled he placed a pillow over her face and smothered her while accusing her of cheating on him, and then wrote “I will get next”, which police documented, on the bed beside her. Investigators say he meant he was claiming his place in line for her as if she were a prostitute. He also attempted to carve the word ‘WH*RE’ into her forehead with the tip of an ink pen after the ink wouldn’t stay on her skin. The value of the stolen items was $14,000. Jones is jailed in lieu of a $45,000 bond, on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
