Dr. Andrew Gong free on $1K bond after skipping court & ignoring assault indictment

45-year-old Dr. Andrew Aaron Gong was jailed this week after not showing up for an October court date and a bench warrant being issued for his arrest. The doctor’s troubles started in November of 2020 when he was using a delivery service for groceries. When the gig worker, Timothy Hines appeared at his door without wearing a mask or gloves, Dr. Andrew Gong reportedly became upset and a verbal argument quickly escalated when Hines says Gong punched him in the face, causing a laceration to his lower lip which was documented by police. Gong fought the misdemeanor citation and the case was bound over to the Grand Jury who indicted him on the assault charge in September of 2021. When he failed to appear for arraignment in October a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Kevonte Nabors, 18, charged with theft of Fiona Culley Langham’s SUV; evading arrest

When Metro Nashville Police were notified that Fiona Culley Langham’s 2020 Hyundai Palisade worth $40,000 had been stolen and was being actively tracked minute-by-minute they responded with the AirOne Helicopter and multiple officers and followed the vehicle to the area of Maudina Ave from both land and air. Officers approached the vehicle as it was coming to a stop and watched 18-year-old Kevonte Nabors flee from the driver’s seat and run into the backyard of a Bellmore Ave address. Nabors was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

Disorderly passenger Sarah Silva refuses to exit plane, begins to strip off clothing in airport

An aircraft departing Nashville International Airport had to return to the gate after 34-year-old Sarah Silva had become disruptive on the plane prior to take-off. When she refused to exit the plane voluntarily, it was announced that all other passengers would have to deboard the plane instead. All other passengers then began yelling and screaming for Silva to get off the plane, and faced with hundreds of angry people she decided to exit willingly. Once in the concourse of the airport she untied her dress and began exposing herself to passengers and employees and pulling away from officers who were attempting to restrain her. An airport officer had to pull a taser to convince her to comply with commands.

Devin Lunsford attempts to fight the world after being kicked out of halfway house in Nashville

Metro Nashville Police initially encountered 24-year-old Devin Lunsford on June 26th when he was asked to leave his halfway house and became hostile with other roommates and they contacted police. He appeared to be intoxicated and was eventually transported to the hospital for treatment in lieu of arrest. Everyone went about their way, and later that day Lunsford discharged himself from the hospital and called his father and made concerning statements about his own well-being. Nashville Fire medical and police then encountered him once again and attempted to convince him to return to the hospital, however, he refused all assistance.

Lunsford then made threats to “fight everyone” while kicking a stranger’s vehicle and cycled from appearing sleepy and nodding out to disruptive and combative. He then retreated to his own vehicle, and refused to exit — laughing at officers and asking “are we about to fight right now?” He was ultimately removed from the vehicle by force and cuffed while telling officers “I’ll f-*k you up if you don’t take these cuffs off!” while kicking, spitting, and yelling in the back of the police cruiser.

Andrew Chilton free on $100 cash bond for domestic assault on uncle over stolen speaker

Frank Chilton called Metro Nashville Police after he says his nephew, 21-year-old Andrew Chilton, used a metal walking crutch to assault him. Frank admits to taking a bluetooth speaker from Andrew’s room while he was listening to it, and Andrew went to Frank’s room to ask for it back. Frank says he armed himself with a Whiskey bottle and a “large knife” because Andrew’s “a big kid and I felt in fear.” Andrew says once he observed Frank with the large knife he retreated to his room and armed himself with the metal walking crutch before returning to Frank’s room to retrieve his speaker. He admits to hitting Frank in the leg several times while reclaiming his property.

Reginae Rogers breaks out glass door & smashes phone when she’s unable to use mother’s phone charger

Metro Nashville Police responded to a domestic disturbance call in Antioch in which 21-year-old Reginae Rogers complained that her mother, Natasha Bryant, would not let her use her phone charger. Reginae reportedly got upset and slammed her phone on the ground, and during the argument used her hand to break a sliding glass door in anger, which also placed her mother in fear of being assaulted. Her mother reported Reginae had been awake for three days and believed her to be on some sort of drug.

Talia Payne charged in attack of her sister during family intervention in Nashville

Cardaja Payne called police to report she went to her mother’s home to pick up her children, and as she approached the driveway she was approached by her sister, 22-year-old Talia Payne. Alongside Talia was her father, Carson Payne, her children’s father, Austin Martin, and her other sister, Amaya Payne. It was an intervention of sorts, as the group accosted her for being late to pick up her children, yelling and screaming at her, some of them calling her a “dead-beat parent” among other names. Talia reportedly first physically assaulted her in the head and then her own father, Carson, held her to the ground while Talia continued to throw strikes at her, and then Amaya reportedly joined in on the assault. She says her children’s father, Austin, then picked her up and slung her to the ground multiple times before getting on top of her and strangling her. Officers documented multiple bruises and injuries and collected matching witness statements. Payne is the first of the group to be booked on charges.

Jacob Petitt charged with assaulting MNPD Officer during arrest for burglary

Metro Nashville Police were attempting to serve a felony burglary warrant on 24-year-old Jacob Petitt, who they observed under the awning at 825 Murfreesboro Pike. As they approached the very identifiable young man he attempted to give officers a fake name and said he was staying with a friend at the motel, pointing to a man on a bench — who shook his head ‘no’ that he had no idea who Petitt was. He then claimed he was just someone stopping for coffee, and as officers told him he was being detained he attempted to flee and both he and the officers fell to the ground, while each grappled for control. Petitt got in several kicks to an officer’s arm and legs, leaving him with abrasions before the officer got him into handcuffs. The outstanding burglary warrant for an April incident in which Petitt was caught on camera ransacking and burglarizing a business on Plus Park Blvd, stealing over $12,000 in electronics.

Jolene McAllister deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

An Uber driver flagged down a Metro Nashville Police Officer in downtown Nashville as he had an extremely intoxicated woman in his vehicle who refused to get out but also didn’t know where she was going or staying. 57-year-old Jolene McAllister insisted, via slurred speech, that she was staying “at a hotel around the block” but couldn’t be more specific. Officers attempted to locate her hotel via her Uber app/ride history and attempted other contacts in her phone to assist her to her destination or to find someone to take care of her. With all options exhausted, and her in no condition to be left alone, she was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Mary Flemming booted from Motley Crue / Def Leppard show in Nashville for being too rowdy

52-year-old Mary Flemming was attending The Stadium Tour featuring Motley Crue/Def Leppard/Poison/Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Thursday night in Nashville when she was forced to exit the venue by Titan security due to her behavior. Metro Nashville Police Officers were alerted to the situation and observed her to be heavily intoxicated, unruly, and verbally abusive to the venue’s security. Officers attempted to contact a friend to retrieve her, but the friend did not come and after several minutes of waiting she was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Zumiez employees say Rayburn Hollis kept “getting bigger” as he packed on stolen clothing in dressing room

Employees at Zumiez at Opry Mills Mall say 37-year-old Rayburn Hollis was “acting real nice” to everyone as he browsed the clothing store last July… so much that employees were paying extra attention to him as he entered the dressing room. An employee tells police he “came out much large than he went into the dressing room.” As Hollis attempted to exit the store he was approached by employees and after a lot of “back and forth” he gave up $141 in clothing he had attached to himself in an attempt to steal. Hollis was issued a state citation for theft, for which he never appeared, and he was booked on the outstanding warrant this week.

Star Reedy charged with burglary of 8 ‘right’ shoes from her ex-boyfriend’s home

Johnetta Motley & her son, John Motley, contacted Metro Nashville Police to report that John’s ex-girlfriend, 43-year-old Star Reedy, had come into their home on Arrowhead Drive and taken a television, jewelry, and the ‘right’ shoe from eight pairs of John’s shoes. They believe a maintenance person for the property allowed Reedy inside the residence, despite her not living there nor having permission to enter. A neighbor, Latoya Shack, was able to provide Ring video footage of Reedy arriving in her mother’s two-door coupe. Another neighbor, Jatonna Cowan, also told police she observed Reedy at the location during the burglary.

William Sanders jailed on 12-year-old hot curling iron assault warrant on his wife

54-year-old William Sanders was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail this week on an outstanding warrant from 2010 charging him with aggravated assault with a hot curling iron. Karen Dale Sanders called police in May of 2010 to report her husband, William Sanders, burned her buttocks with a hot curling iron after she was taking a shower to get ready to run some errands. She says he was upset that she was leaving the house. The warrant was signed on May 6th of 2010, and he was served the warrant on June 28th, 2022 — 4,437 days later.

Charles England charged with assault of ‘Nurse’ at Metro General Hospital

Darlene Elizabeth Hopkins told police she had been assaulted by a patient on June 28th. Officers arrived and she explained she explained she was providing care to 29-year-old Charles England at Metro General Hospital when he kept “sliding down the bed to avoid her and slid all the way to the floor.” She says while she was attempting to get him back into the bed he swung his arms wildly and slapped her. She says she was also kicked by England. Though he was charged with “assault on a nurse”, Scoop: Nashville discovered Hopkins was not a nurse, but a CNA, and her license to practice expired in March of 2021 according to the state licensing board.

Musician Rob Zahn charged in assault of wife, who took his keys to prevent a DUI

Ira Zahn says her husband, 32-year-old Robert Zahn, was obviously drunk when he arrived at their shared Bellevue residence Tuesday night. She tells police she hid his car keys to prevent him from driving while intoxicated, which angered Robert. A verbal argument turned physical when she says he used his hands to push her by the neck, causing redness and scratches to her neck, which was documented by police.

Elias Garrito Garcia rips off clothes & punches trees on wobbly walk in Donelson

21-year-old Elias Garrito Garcia was found by Metro Nashville Police Officers in the early hours of Monday morning as he walked down Ridgeway Drive in Donelson ripping off his clothes and punching trees. He eventually made it back to the driveway of his residence where he argued with a roommate. Officers arrived to find a trail of his clothing in the street and in a neighbor’s yard. Officers attempted to have his roommates escort him back inside so he could avoid arrest, however, they refused. As he became more aggressive with officers he was placed into custody.

Tandrea James one of many jailed in Broadway Brawl in downtown Nashville Sunday morning

Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, Metro Nashville Police Officers were attempting to break up a large brawl on Broadway just outside of Nudie’s Honky Tonk. They encountered 33-year-old Tandrea James among the brawlers. She initially attempted to walk away while stating she didn’t know why she had to stop or stay or even why everyone was fighting. She then claimed two other females had jumped her, however, one of the other women claims Tandrea James was the person who threw the first punch at her niece.

DeQuenthney McGregor tased by bouncers after Broadway Brawl in downtown Nashville

26-year-old DeQuenthney McGregor was jailed after an early Sunday morning Broadway Brawl in downtown Nashville. Police say there was a large group of people fighting on the sidewalk in front of Nudie’s Honky tonk. While two women were brawling on the pavement, McGregor advised he had been tased in the back by bouncers, and still had a prong in his back which first responders removed for him, and he refused all other medical treatment.

Zackary Herder charged with attacking two bouncers at Losers Bar in Nashville

27-year-old Zackary Herder is charged with assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after two security guards from Losers Bar & Grill, Alan Evans & Garrett Hudson, reported to police reported they were attacked. Hudson had asked Herder to leave the location after he became disruptive, at which time he says Herder grabbed a glass beer bottle at attempted to hit him with it. As he was being escorted downstairs, Herder punched Evans in the face. Herder was detained when police arrived, and he reportedly confessed to the assaults.
