Zumiez employees say Rayburn Hollis kept “getting bigger” as he packed on stolen clothing in dressing room

Employees at Zumiez at Opry Mills Mall say 37-year-old Rayburn Hollis was “acting real nice” to everyone as he browsed the clothing store last July… so much that employees were paying extra attention to him as he entered the dressing room. An employee tells police he “came out much large than he went into the dressing room.” As Hollis attempted to exit the store he was approached by employees and after a lot of “back and forth” he gave up $141 in clothing he had attached to himself in an attempt to steal. Hollis was issued a state citation for theft, for which he never appeared, and he was booked on the outstanding warrant this week.

Star Reedy charged with burglary of 8 ‘right’ shoes from her ex-boyfriend’s home

Johnetta Motley & her son, John Motley, contacted Metro Nashville Police to report that John’s ex-girlfriend, 43-year-old Star Reedy, had come into their home on Arrowhead Drive and taken a television, jewelry, and the ‘right’ shoe from eight pairs of John’s shoes. They believe a maintenance person for the property allowed Reedy inside the residence, despite her not living there nor having permission to enter. A neighbor, Latoya Shack, was able to provide Ring video footage of Reedy arriving in her mother’s two-door coupe. Another neighbor, Jatonna Cowan, also told police she observed Reedy at the location during the burglary.

William Sanders jailed on 12-year-old hot curling iron assault warrant on his wife

54-year-old William Sanders was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail this week on an outstanding warrant from 2010 charging him with aggravated assault with a hot curling iron. Karen Dale Sanders called police in May of 2010 to report her husband, William Sanders, burned her buttocks with a hot curling iron after she was taking a shower to get ready to run some errands. She says he was upset that she was leaving the house. The warrant was signed on May 6th of 2010, and he was served the warrant on June 28th, 2022 — 4,437 days later.

Charles England charged with assault of ‘Nurse’ at Metro General Hospital

Darlene Elizabeth Hopkins told police she had been assaulted by a patient on June 28th. Officers arrived and she explained she explained she was providing care to 29-year-old Charles England at Metro General Hospital when he kept “sliding down the bed to avoid her and slid all the way to the floor.” She says while she was attempting to get him back into the bed he swung his arms wildly and slapped her. She says she was also kicked by England. Though he was charged with “assault on a nurse”, Scoop: Nashville discovered Hopkins was not a nurse, but a CNA, and her license to practice expired in March of 2021 according to the state licensing board.

Musician Rob Zahn charged in assault of wife, who took his keys to prevent a DUI

Ira Zahn says her husband, 32-year-old Robert Zahn, was obviously drunk when he arrived at their shared Bellevue residence Tuesday night. She tells police she hid his car keys to prevent him from driving while intoxicated, which angered Robert. A verbal argument turned physical when she says he used his hands to push her by the neck, causing redness and scratches to her neck, which was documented by police.

Elias Garrito Garcia rips off clothes & punches trees on wobbly walk in Donelson

21-year-old Elias Garrito Garcia was found by Metro Nashville Police Officers in the early hours of Monday morning as he walked down Ridgeway Drive in Donelson ripping off his clothes and punching trees. He eventually made it back to the driveway of his residence where he argued with a roommate. Officers arrived to find a trail of his clothing in the street and in a neighbor’s yard. Officers attempted to have his roommates escort him back inside so he could avoid arrest, however, they refused. As he became more aggressive with officers he was placed into custody.

Tandrea James one of many jailed in Broadway Brawl in downtown Nashville Sunday morning

Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, Metro Nashville Police Officers were attempting to break up a large brawl on Broadway just outside of Nudie’s Honky Tonk. They encountered 33-year-old Tandrea James among the brawlers. She initially attempted to walk away while stating she didn’t know why she had to stop or stay or even why everyone was fighting. She then claimed two other females had jumped her, however, one of the other women claims Tandrea James was the person who threw the first punch at her niece.

DeQuenthney McGregor tased by bouncers after Broadway Brawl in downtown Nashville

26-year-old DeQuenthney McGregor was jailed after an early Sunday morning Broadway Brawl in downtown Nashville. Police say there was a large group of people fighting on the sidewalk in front of Nudie’s Honky tonk. While two women were brawling on the pavement, McGregor advised he had been tased in the back by bouncers, and still had a prong in his back which first responders removed for him, and he refused all other medical treatment.

Zackary Herder charged with attacking two bouncers at Losers Bar in Nashville

27-year-old Zackary Herder is charged with assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after two security guards from Losers Bar & Grill, Alan Evans & Garrett Hudson, reported to police reported they were attacked. Hudson had asked Herder to leave the location after he became disruptive, at which time he says Herder grabbed a glass beer bottle at attempted to hit him with it. As he was being escorted downstairs, Herder punched Evans in the face. Herder was detained when police arrived, and he reportedly confessed to the assaults.

Conor McNamara charged with late-night DUI just days after turning 21

Late Friday night, 21-year-old Conor McNamara crashed his vehicle onto the sidewalk on 4th Ave South just near the Nashville City Cemetary. McNamara freely admitted he didn’t have a valid license to drive and that he consumed “one beer” about fifteen minutes prior to driving. Officers say he performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.098% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Julia Fellows deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

Security from Honky Tonk Central on Broadway in downtown Nashville alerted officers working the Entertainment District to 22-year-old Julia Fellows who had fallen onto the ground as she exited the bar with her mother. Officers called for NFD medics to respond to assist Fellows and assess her injuries, however, she repeatedly kicked at police and medical personnel, refusing any and all assistance. Her mother stated she was unable to control her in her current state of intoxication and also couldn’t take her home in her current state. Due to her extreme level of intoxication, officers transported her to booking and charged her with public intoxication.

Noel Saad says man told her to “go lay in the road” while drunk in downtown Nashville; she obliged

27-year-old Noel Saad, who was recently arrested in Clarksville after being found so drunk outside of a bar that she couldn’t properly walk was arrested again this weekend, in Nashville. Just before 11 p.m. Saturday, officers working the Entertainment District Initiative noticed her in an extreme state of intoxication and laying in the middle of the intersection at 5th & Broadway. She refused to move, stating that an unknown male told her to “go lay in the road”.

Jamie McMaster kicked out of two downtown hotels for flipping tables, attempting fights, and trying to pull fire alarms

Metro Nashville Police Officers responded to the Westin Hotel in downtown Nashville after 34-year-old Jamie McMaster was reportedly attempting to fight other guests and threatening to pull the fire alarm for the building. As officers arrived at the location, security from the JW Marriott had also arrived to inform them he had flipped over a table at their nearby hotel, too. McMaster was taken into custody for public intoxication, and he stated he didn’t recall what had happened since the left a bar on Broadway earlier in the night.

Tristan Cummings kicked out of Kid Rock’s bar after grabbing & touching other patrons

Security at Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock n’ Roll Steakhouse says 25-year-old Tristan Cummings was kicked out for being unruly inside the bar. Bouncers received multiple complaints about Cummings grabbing and touching other patrons inside the bar and a large disturbance was developing. Metro Nashville Police arrived and took Cummings into custody for public intoxication. Cummings disclosed he had about 8 drinks while inside the bar.

Old man shoots at neighbor in prestigious Nashville neighborhood — Stephen Marstiller

On Sunday afternoon in the wealthy Forest Hills area of Nashville, 73-year-old Stephen Marstiller told his wife, Jeanie Marstiller, to grab his gun from the barn. Marstiller had been in an argument with a nearby neighbor, Robert J. Blake, who was walking in the creek along the rear of the property. The two had gotten into a fight and “grappled” near the creek, arguing over whether the creek itself was Marstiller’s private property while his wife recorded the incident on her phone. After the fight was over, the senior citizen took his .22 rifle to a bridge further down the creek and fired upon the neighbor, missing him by approximately three feet. Officers retrieved a total of three shell casings from the bridge, where Marstiller admits he fired a “warning shot” at the man.

Officers seized his gun and took him into custody, and he was home on a $12,500 bond just over two hours later.

DUI: Amber Collins found asleep behind wheel after nearly causing multiple crashes

A concerned citizen followed a red BMW driving by 27-year-old Amber Collins to a convenience store on Haywood Lance, concerned for her safety as she was reportedly swerving in and out of traffic and nearly caused multiple accidents. When police arrived, Collins had pulled into the parking lot of the gas station and fallen asleep at the wheel of her BMW, which was still running and near the gas pumps. After she was awoken she remained incoherent and was unable to answer questions. Inside the vehicle, officers found an open Smirnoff Vodka bottle, which was half empty.
She was charged with DUI.

Heather Guzman pushes husband through glass door & leaves him there; claims he did it to himself

Nathan Burkitt says after a night of heavy drinking he was in a 4 a.m. argument with his wife, 30-year-old Heather Guzman, and as the argument continued to escalate to a loud and aggressive state, he suggested that his wife leave the house so they could each have their personal space and rest. He says Heather then pushed him backward through a glass door, shattering it, and left him lying on the back deck, injured and bleeding. When police arrived and interviewed Heather, she claimed he must have been mad at a video game and head-butted the door, which didn’t match any of his injuries. She was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault with bodily injury.

Grant Williams charged with DUI after late-night East Nashville crash

28-year-old Grant Williams was involved in a vehicle crash near S. 5th St. & Crutcher St. and while speaking to responding officers, they detected an odor of alcohol coming from him. He admitted he had just come from a bar where he had “three beers” in the time shortly before the crash. After initially agreeing to field sobriety tests he became unwilling or unable to complete them.

He eventually blew a 0.132% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Marshall Brown charged with punching his brother in the face during argument

On June 23rd, a drunken Sten Brown called and told police that his brother, 23-year-old Marshall Brown, punched him in the face just under his left eye during an argument inside their share apartment several days prior on June 17th. Responding officers took photos of the victim’s injury and bruising. When interviewed about the reported assault, Marshall Brown admitted to punching his brother in the face.

Sten was too intoxicated at the time of his report to be taken before a magistrate, but because of the domestic relationship and the obvious injury, officers prosecuted for the assault and took Marshall into custody.
