Robert Harris charged with smashing pregnant girlfriend’s face into dashboard during argument

28-year-old Robert Harris was charged with domestic assault early Tuesday morning after his girlfriend disclosed to police that Robert had slammed her face into the dashboard of his vehicle during an argument and then strangled her while pushing her against the passenger seat. The victim, Ivy Shoults, who is also pregnant, refused all medical assistance and seemed only to suffer injuries to her lip, which was busted and bleeding. Officers became aware of the couple as their vehicle was parked in the grass near Donelson Pike and Murfreesboro Road and conducted a welfare check. Harrs refused to answer any questions and was taken into custody.

Shakia Davidson jailed after giving false information to the DMV to obtain a driver’s license

Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol were dispatched to the state’s DMV/Driver Services Center downtown on 7th Ave on Wednesday after an alert employee noticed 20-year-old Shakia Davidson was attempting to obtain a duplicate driver’s license using false information & documents. Examiner Selakia Shaw stated that Davidson gave false information to the state center and signed the application stating it was her correct and own information. When the examiner pulled up the photo on file for the information she listed on the application, it was obvious the photo did not match Davidson. Davidson admitted to the crime.

DUI: man traveling 20 mph on I-65 admits to using Kratom — Kendall Henderson

38-year-old Kendall Henderson was stopped on I-65 for traveling at 20 mph in a lane of travel. THP Officer Fuller spoke with Henderson, who was the driver of the vehicle, and who admitted he was using Kratom, which is illegal in Tennessee. Henderson was reportedly confused and disoriented, and admitted to doing “multiple drugs” over the past few days.

DUI: Man says he had a “couple of beers” before driving on Christmas Eve: 89 in a 65 — Cameron Myatt

32-year-old Cameron ‘Cam’ Myatt was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on Christmas Eve after a THP State Trooper paced him doing 89 in a 65 mph zone.

During the traffic stop, Myatt admitted to having “a couple of beers” prior to driving, and he performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Myatt was charged with DUI 1st, and is free on pre-trial release.

Man flees MNPD & THP at 170 MPH… until he runs out of gas — Jamal Nobrega @itsjamal__ arrested

26-year-old Jamal Nobrega, who is well known in the underground car racing scene across the U.S. & Mexico, took multiple mid-state agencies on a chase overnight, with speeds reaching over 170 mph. Metro Nashville Police initially observed the 2020 Chevrolet Camero on I-65 N bearing a non-legal license with just ‘LTX’ printed on the plate in red and white lettering. The passenger side of the car was distinct with vinyl lettering of “ITSJAMAL__” on the window. After being initially paced at 85 in a 70 mph zone a traffic stop was attempted, however, the driver fled at high rates of speed. MNPD AirOne and a THP helicopter picked up the pursuit, observing the vehicle ‘blacked out’ several times (turned off all lights) in an attempt to avoid being tracked. Eventually, the driver was taken into custody in Sumner County and transported back to Nashville. When asked why he eventually stopped the chase, Jamal Nobrega replied “because I ran out of gas”. After being charged with reckless driving and felony evading arrest, he was sent home on pre-trial release.

‘Brother Jones’ says he wasn’t violent, but new video shows he was – and the Grand Jury agrees

Protestor Justin Jones (“Brother Jones”) was given two weeks to turn himself in on a Grand Jury Indictment, which charges him with two counts of reckless endangerment after he is seen on video repeatedly pushing a traffic cone into the cab of a vehicle, striking the person inside, and causing a danger to both the driver and the nearby public.

Early Monday, the Tennessee Highway Patrol posted a photo to their social media of children at the Junior Ranger Camp in Nashville. The photo depicts a line of children with a trooper demonstrating the importance of booster seats and seat belts, while a lone black child faces against a patrol unit in the foreground with his hands behind his back. After backlash on social media, the department quietly removed the photo.

6.25 pounds marijuana in pizza delivery bag discovered in luggage at Nashville Airport

#BNA Dalan Jason Snow, 25, arrested after 6.25 pounds of marijuana was located inside of vacuumed sealed bags stuffed into a pizza delivery bag, as he flew into the Nashville Airport. Detectives report the luggage smelled of “raw marijuana and Febreeze.” Snow said he was selling the marijuana to pay court fees from a previous narcotics arrest.
