Officers made contact with the driver, who had inquired about the purchase of the car through a private sale by the owner. Arambula test-drove the vehicle and never returned it.

Brendan Fielder Pitts knocks out roommate in downtown Nashville fight
Police say 26-year-old Brendan Fielder Pitts punched his roommate, Alain De Villiers, square in the face at 4th & Demonbreun in downtown Nashville Sunday night. The two reportedly argued about how drunk Brendan was and decided to leave. As Alain called for a ride, his roommate punched him, knocking him unconsciously momentarily. As he continued, Brendan caught up with him and punched him again, throwing him to the ground. Brendan also stole the keys to the house and attempted to flee as police arrived.
Trevell James charged after robbery and shoot-out with victim & friend
19-year-old Trevell James was booked this week on outstanding warrants for felony aggravated robbery, drug possession, and theft during two incidents on December 27. Police say he entered a business and asked to use the restroom. He then went to the employee locker room, took the jacket of Adam Peler, which contained the keys to his vehicle, and walked out the front door wearing the jacket. On that same day, Trevel James and Alfred Rodriguez attempted to rob Shandarie Barrett of $2,000, which he had been sent to the bank to get. When he was unable to withdraw the money and returned to his residence, he was pistol-whipped and robbed of his phone and passport.
James and Rodrigues then fled the location, and the victim and his friend, Everald Nelson, pursued them throughout South Nashville. Nelson exchanged gunfire with the suspects in the parking lot of a Waffle House. The two suspects then abandoned their car and fled the scene. Inside the abandoned vehicle, officers found four bags of marijuana, totaling one pound in weight. Warrants were issued for their arrest, and James was booked on those this week.
Derrick Jefferally robs sister of phone at knifepoint during breakfast
Breanna Dickey says she was cooking breakfast Friday morning when her 27-year-old brother, Derrick Jefferally, approached her from behind and attempted to grab her phone. When she thwarted the theft, Jefferally grabbed a red-handled knife and pointed it in her face, taking the phone by force. Officers arrived and met Jeffereally in the backyard of the residence, with the victim’s phone in his bag.
Man tracks stolen iPhone to hotel, MNPD responds & arrests thief, Horacio Rangel-Torres
Kelvin Chambliss Jr.’s $1,200 iPhone was stolen last week by a man who fled in a white van, later identified as 23-year-old Horacio Octavio Rangel Torres. Chambliss tracked the phone to the Econo Lodge North and found the van in the parking lot. He called the police, who responded and ran the plates of the van to get the name of the registered owner. The hotel staff then confirmed that the person was renting room 236. Officers knocked on the door, and Rangel-Torres admitted he had the iPhone and surrendered it to officers. He claimed he found the phone and was going to return it to Best Buy the next day.
Corterrius Johnson charged with theft of baby mama’s phone & keys to coerce her to talk to him
Police say 27-year-old Corterrius Devonte Johnson and the mother of his child, Victoria Terrell, got into an argument on October 15th, during which he grabbed her keys and phone before going inside his apartment and locking the door with her still standing outside. Officers arrived, and Johnson admitted to taking her phone and keys to coerce her into talking to him.
Jamie Morgan booked on charge of stealing school board campaign signs in Nashville
45-year-old Jamie Morgan self-booked this week on a citation charging her with the theft of campaign signs of MNPS School Board candidate Todd Pembroke. Police say that after repeated thefts, a tracker was placed inside some of the signs by the campaign, and they were tracked to her address on Anchorage Drive. Police accompanied the candidate to the pinged location and issued her a citation, and retrieved dozens of signs. During that visit, Morgan lifted her shirt and flashed the candidate, made obscene gestures, and caused quite the scene, which was captured on video (below, in story). Morgan stated she did this for “political reasons.” On her social media, Morgan describes herself as a “Nashville based bipolar pagan intuitive; rape, sexual abuse, trauma survivor; retired drunk trying to be a better mom.”
Chester Campbell pawned over $10K of his ex-girlfriend’s jewelry using his own ID
57-year-old Chester Darren Campbell is being held on a $25,000 bond after being jailed this week on an outstanding felony theft warrant from 2018. His ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Brown, says she noticed several pieces of jewelry had gone missing from her bedroom. She stated her ex-boyfriend, Campbell, had been staying with her for several months since the breakup, and they had an on-and-off-again relationship. She also states he had stolen from her in the past. With him being the only other person with access to her bedroom, an investigation was launched, and it was discovered Campbell had pawned several pieces of the victim’s jewelry at pawn shops throughout both Tennessee and Kentucky, all while using his own photo ID. The value of the stolen jewelry is over $10,000.
Michael Robertson Jr. charged with felony mail theft in East Nashville
30-year-old Michael Robertson Jr. is charged with felony theft of mail and theft of property after police say in January, he watched an East Nashville man place a package in a package dropbox near S. 11th & Russell Street. Moments later, Robertson took the man’s package, which contained $5,100 of sports trading cards, and several others, out of the dropbox. Investigators found that Robertson had sold the now stolen cards the following day to Athlon Sports for $850. 10 of the 12 stolen cards were recovered by detectives in February. Warrants were issued for the arrest of Robertson, and he was booked into custody on May 3rd.
Employees charged with stealing tires from Dunlap & Kyle Tire— Bryan Hagenbuch & Zachary Orr
24-year-old Bryan Hagenbuch & 30-year-old Zachary Orr are both charged in a plot to steal from their employer, Dunlap & Kyle Tire Company. Management became aware of the thefts of approximately 100 tires when they noticed the pair were loading tires into their personal vehicles to take them to resell, after removing them from the company’s inventory system. Management was able to obtain an audio recording of Orr confessing to stealing tires for “approximately two months”. While the investigation is ongoing, the current estimated loss is at least $5,000. A third person is mentioned in the investigation but had not been charged at the time of publication.
Derrick McNair charged in theft of items from man’s home, co-defendant still at-large
Police say 21-year-old Derrick McNair and Sydney Bell stole $9,610 worth of items from the home of Jose Gonzalez after Gonzalez had let Bell stay there for a few days when he had nowhere else to stay. After an argument ensued about her not cleaning up after herself, Jose went to work, only to return later to find multiple items missing from his home. A neighbor recognized McNair and Bell, and confronted them about taking the items from the home, but was unable to stop them. Warrants were issued from their arrest, and McNair was booked into custody this week.

19-year-old T’Shawn Palton faces felony aggravated burglary and felony theft charges after his neighbors at the apartment directly above him reported their 65″ television, Macbook, and white Xbox One were missing when they came home. After detectives ran one of the serial numbers it came back as being pawned by Palton, and when detectives notices his address was directly below the victim’s, they knew they had their man. teenager. child. dumb criminal. Man charged in horrific sadistic assault of girlfriend, steals all her things — Joel Jones jailed on $45K bond
42-year-old Joel Jones is accused of stealing his girlfriend’s Jeep Patriot, cell phone, purse, wallet, Ruger handgun, and removing $2,000 from her bank account. She said she believes he was ending the relationship and had no intention of returning anything, because before he fled he placed a pillow over her face and smothered her while accusing her of cheating on him, and then wrote “I will get next”, which police documented, on the bed beside her. Investigators say he meant he was claiming his place in line for her as if she were a prostitute. He also attempted to carve the word ‘WH*RE’ into her forehead with the tip of an ink pen after the ink wouldn’t stay on her skin. The value of the stolen items was $14,000. Jones is jailed in lieu of a $45,000 bond, on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
