Sarah Worden & Zackary Harvey charged in DUI crash in East Nashville

Police say 29-year-old Zackary Harvey was the at-fault driver in a three-vehicle collision in East Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning. Harvey claimed he was not the driver, but everyone else at the scene identified him as the driver, including two of his passengers, Cody Price and Dominick Jamison. Harvey, who reeked of alcohol, refused all testing and just repeated the word “lawyer” throughout the interaction. A search warrant was granted for his blood due to another party being injured. Once at the hospital, he struggled with officers and staff, not allowing them to draw his blood. He was additionally charged with resisting due to not complying with the order.

31-year-old Sarah Worden was the registered owner of the vehicle and was also a passenger. Police say she was also intoxicated, and everyone in the vehicle stated they had just come from a bar. Due to her allowing him to drive while knowing he was intoxicated, she was charged with DUI per-se.

DUI: Katherine Eller says she drank wine before crashing and blowing double the BAC limit

In the early hours of Sunday morning, police responded to a single-vehicle crash at Shelby Ave & S. 11th Street and located the driver, 40-year-old Katherine Eller, who had struck a tree. Eller told officers she was looking at her cell phone at the time of impact. She stated she had “split a bottle of wine” with a friend three hours prior to driving. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was unable to provide proof of insurance. She was transported to jail and initially blew a 0.163% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Garrett Nash charged in assault of girlfriend after night of drinking on New Year’s Eve

26-year-old Garrett Nash and his girlfriend, Savannah Gulley Decker, were drinking with friends in downtown Nashville on New Year’s Eve when they got into a verbal argument. They shared an Uber back to Lichey Ave, where each had parked their own car at a friend’s home for the evening. As they waited there in their separate vehicles for the homeowner to also return, Garrett reportedly became impatient and wanted to return home to Clarksville. He reportedly demanded his girlfriend get into his car so they could leave, and she refused. She says he then pulled on both of her arms, leaving red marks on them. The homeowner arrived and asked Garrett to leave, but he refused. Officers then responded to the scene and determined him to be the primary aggressor in a domestic assault, and he was transported to jail.

DUI: Brittnye Denen charged after nearly colliding with MNPD patrol vehicle on I-65

Police say 35-year-old Brittnye Denen was driving on I-65 late Wednesday night when she swerved into a lane and almost collided with a marked MNPD patrol vehicle. The officer followed her for approximately one mile, and she continued to swerve and drive erratically. During a traffic stop, Denen admitted to drinking “a beer” prior to driving and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Inside the vehicle, officers located a Yeti tumbler filled with beer in the center cup holder.

Cameo Hamm charged in East Nashville DUI, says she had ‘Verizon’ to drink

Metro Nashville Police were dispatched to the intersection of Woodland Street and S. 14th St. in East Nashville, where they located 22-year-old Cameo Hamm seemingly passed out behind the wheel with the keys in the vehicle and her foot on the brake. Upon making contact, officers asked Hamm if she had anything to drink tonight, and she kept repeating, “Verizon.” Though most of her sentences were incoherent, police say she did admit to drinking alcohol prior to driving. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.

DUI: John Magnuson belligerent with cops after East Nashville hit and run

Metro Nashville Police responded to Rosebank & Porter Road in the early hours of Sunday morning at witnesses say they observed 32-year-old John Magnuson crash into a car and drive away from the initial impact area. Officers located Magnuson a short distance away behind the wheel of his 2019 Toyota Camry, which had heavy front-end damage. He stated he had not consumed any alcohol. Officers described him as very belligerent, and he refused to follow basic instructions. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and was unable to stand on his own. He attempted field sobriety tests, but they had to be stopped for his own safety due to his extreme level of intoxication.

MNPD arrests man screaming “Allahu Akbar” in downtown Nashville — Timothy Taylor

Metro Nashville Police jailed 36-year-old Timothy Taylor after they say he was walking along Broadway in downtown Nashville Saturday night while screaming “Allahu Akbar” at tourists and others enjoying the city. The arresting officer states in an arrest report that Taylor was “disturbing surrounding individuals and making them nervous due to the constant screaming of “Allahu Akbar.” Officer Ronald Conner says he immediately placed him into custody after this behavior and notes that earlier Taylor was seen talking “with motorcycle club members” and was asked to move along after officers felt a fight was about to occur.

DUI: Jordan Cunningham charged after 2 a.m. East Nashville crash

Metro Police were dispatched to an accident just before 2 a.m. Thursday at 1111 Gallatin Ave, where they found 24-year-old Jordan Cunningham unsteady on her feet and swaying back and forth. She had rear-ended another vehicle, causing injuries. Police say she reeked of alcohol and stated she had “one drink at work” before she left at 11 p.m. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking after submitting to a blood test at Metro General.

Nashville Police arrest woman who made 40+ noise complaint calls on neighbor — Zelle Taylor

Metro Nashville Police say they’ve told 51-year-old Zelle Taylor that “general apartment noise” complaints should be handled via the apartment management company, and not the city’s police force. Officer Shaquille Graham documented this advice to Taylor in a February report after she continued to call 862-8600 and 911 to report excessive noise coming from her neighbors. When confronted during that report, she told the officer she would keep calling until the noise issues were resolved… and keep calling, she did.

From May 18th to May 28th, Taylor made 38 more noise complaints to dispatch about the same neighbor, with 33 of those calls coming in via 911, as 862-8600 routinely has hold times in the dozens of minutes. When officers responded on May 28th, they visited the apartment where she said the noise was coming from, once again describing it as the upstairs neighbors fighting, and officers say they found no disturbance. Officer Ronald Conner then took out a warrant for her arrest, charging her with aggravated misuse of 911.

Too Turnt for Nashville: James Brooks, 21

Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville watched as 21-year-old James Brooks fell to the ground near 6th & Broadway. As they approached him to assist, they observed his extreme level of intoxication, and attempted to help him stand, however, he had trouble standing and walking on his own, and much of his speech was slurred and was not forming complete phrases. Officers asked him to call a friend to come to get him, however, he repeatedly just opened the camera app on his phone. Officers attempted to assist him with using his phone to arrange an Uber, however, he kept giving his address as “zero”.With no other options available, he was transported to booking, and charged with public intoxication.

Joshua Holloway charged after brutally assaulting a man in front of a police officer

Sgt. Matthew Evans was in his marked patrol car when he witnesses 23-year-old Joshua Holloway punching John Dudas in the face. The victim attempted to flee into the crowd, however, Holloway pursued him, and when the man fell to the ground he began to brutally punch and kick the man, who sustained serious injuries, including missing teeth. He claimed the man had assaulted one of his friends, however, multiple independent witnesses confirmed Holloway threw the first punch.

Ashland City grandfather charged with DUI after leaving American Legion — Bill Krantz

Police say 63-year-old Billy Krantz was passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle on Broadmoor Drive in the early hours of Saturday morning. He told officers he had been dropping off a friend at the home on Broadmoor Drive and had been drinking at the American Legion less than an hour before driving. Krantz performed poorly on field sobriety tests and would only reply “I don’t know” when asked to provide a breath or blood sample for testing.

Woman to Nashville Cop: “I’ll get away with it cause I’m white” — Tammera Lee arrested

Police say 42-year-old Tammera Lee drove her vehicle into a secured DCSO facility parking lot behind a staff member on S. 5th Street. Police were alerted when the unknown woman appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Officer Ronald Conner responded and Lee admitted to drinking prior to driving and responded with a “Fuck You!” when asked to perform field sobriety tests. She continued to be belligerent with the officer as he noticed several alcoholic beverages in plain sight within her vehicle. As she was informed she was being arrested for DUI, she replied “I’ll get away with it cause I’m white” according to the arrest report.

DUI: The man passed out behind the wheel of his Tesla would like his lawyer — Jeff Halm

Metro Nashville Police say they found 34-year-old Jeffrey Halm passed out behind the wheel of his Tesla at the corner of Gallatin Ave. & Eastland Ave. in the early hours of Monday morning. It took multiple attempts to get Halm alert and awake, at which time he became hesitant to exit the vehicle. He reportedly swayed back and forth and answered every question with “I want my lawyer”, over and over again. Police located an unopened bottle of beer in the cupholder.

Woman assaults her ex-girlfriend, who is now dating her ex-husband, with a large stick — Brianna Luster arrested

Metro Police say 28-year-old Brianna Luster was once in a relationship with Orlexus Elliott. That ended, and now Orlexus is dating Brianna’s ex-husband, and that’s caused issues in Cashville. Court records show Brianna found Orlexus parked outside her house Sunday morning and beat her with a large stick, which police classified as a ‘deadly weapon’. Brianna was booked into jail Tuesday and is free on a $2,500 bond.
