Metro Nashville Police Officers arrived at the location, and she continued to refuse to leave. Officers asked one last time for her to arrange a rideshare or way home, and Lyons reportedly told police, “take me to jail!” while screaming profanities at them. Due to her obvious state of intoxication and refusal to cooperate for her own safety, she was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Jaden Winsor fights with bouncers after kicked from Whisky Row bar in Nashville
Police say tourist Anthony Jaden Winsor was in a physical altercation with a bouncer at Whisky Row in downtown Nashville just before 1 a.m. Saturday. Officers observed the fight and intervened, separating both parties. Winsor showed signs of extreme intoxication and reeked of alcohol. As officers attempted to take Jade Winsor into custody for public intoxication, he pulled his arms away and flailed about with his arms and legs. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody and transported to jail.
Irate passenger Brian Johnson charged with public intoxication at Nashville Airport
37-year-old Brian Wayne Johnson became upset at the Nashville International Airport on January 2 after he was denied boarding due to his level of intoxication. Airport police responded to the gate and attempted to assist him in getting rebooked at a later time. Johnson continued to be irate and was upsetting other passengers in the area. He then threw his backpack down an escalator in a fit of rage. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Aaron McCray — drunk at the Tennessee State Museum
Police say 32-year-old Aaron J. McCray was drunk at the Tennessee State Museum on January 3. He told responding officers he had ” a lot” to drink and was falling asleep while talking, unable to provide his address, how he arrived at the museum, or even where he was at. He was unable to contact anyone to retrieve him and was charged with public intoxication. Officers destroyed the two cans of beer and three vodka mini-bottles in his backpack before transporting him to booking.
Anthony Barrie — screaming, crying, and drunkenly playing in traffic in downtown Nashville
24-year-old Anthony Austin Barrie told police he had been drinking at a downtown Nashville bar and had a “few drinks” before employees of Bar Louie in the Gulch noticed him drunkenly running through traffic and screaming and crying before arriving at their bar, where he cursed at employees. Metro Nashville Police arrived and attempted to facilitate a ride, but he refused and attempted to walk away. Barrie was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Erlyn Daniel Guevara-Andino deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville
Metro Nashville Police officers working the Entertainment District Initiative early Saturday morning located 26-year-old Erlyn Daniel Guevara-Andino on Broadway in an extreme state of intoxication. Officers say he reeked of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet, and was a danger to himself if left alone in downtown Nashville.
Tourist Justin Martin drunk and disorderly in Nashville for New Year’s Eve
Metro Nashville Police responded to a call on Georgia Court in the early hours of Sunday morning to find 36-year-old Justin Martin extremely intoxicated and having trouble standing. Martin told police he was from out of town and was visiting friends but wasn’t sure where they were all staying or how to get in touch with them. Unable to provide any information to get him to a safe place, Martin was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Brian Austell found intoxicated and urine soaked after New Year’s Eve celebration downtown
46-year-old Brian Jeffrey Austell fell to the ground and urinated on himself after Metro Nashville Police found him inside Bridgestone Arena just after 2 a.m. on January 1st. Officers had approached him and offered medical assistance due to his obvious state of intoxication, which he refused before falling over. Officers attempted to locate anyone that was with Austell or where he was staying, but he was unable to assist himself in not going to jail.
Preston Garner charged after New Year’s fight in downtown Nashville
22-year-old Preston Garner was fighting with another individual just before 3 a.m. at 1st & Broadway in downtown Nashville. Officers arrived at the fight-in-progress call and separated both parties. Garner was determined to be extremely intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
Charles Denig rang in the new year with a drunken fight in downtown Nashville
27-year-old Charles Denig was fighting near 1st & Broadway in downtown Nashville on January 1st. Officers observed the fighting behavior and separated the two involved individuals, and attempted to get them to go on their way. As they spoke with Denig, they realized his extreme level of intoxication prevented him from caring for himself, and he continued to cause a disturbance. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

22-year-old Kiara Torres slipped her handcuffs twice as Metro Nashville Police attempted to take her into custody after she reportedly punched security staff a Nudie’s Honky Tonk in downtown Nashville Friday night. Police say she was extremely intoxicated and uncooperative after it took multiple officers to take her into custody.
Florida man Matthew Shinn pulls shirt over bouncer’s head and punches him
33-year-old Florida man Matthew Shinn faces multiple charges after police say he flipped a middle finger to staff at Nudie’s Honky Tonk Friday night before getting into a fight with bouncer Buck Buchanan. After Shinn was asked to leave for his disruptive “rude and obscene” behavior, he chest-bumped Buchanan twice, and after the bouncer fell to the floor, Shinn pulled the victim’s shirt over his head and punched him twice, leaving him with visible injuries.
Joseph Marshall charged after downtown disturbance on New Year’s Eve
Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville on New Year’s Eve located 32-year-old Joseph Marshall near 2nd & Broadway just before 1 a.m. Marshall was pushing and shoving another male and refused to be separated from the other man, shoving him again in front of officers. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, Marshall was taken into custody.
Bartender Ashland Ghaffari arrested while drunk at work at Bar East
26-year-old Ashland Mariah Ghaffari was working at Bar East on Woodland Street on New Year’s Eve when staff called police due to her extreme level of intoxication and causing issues at her place of employment. Staff attempted to arrange for her to take an Uber home, but she was combative. Officers arrived, and she began to yell and argue with them. As she was being taken into custody for public intoxication after refusing to arrange a ride, she resisted being cuffed and refused to get into the patrol car.
James Winchester assaults two women & bites a man during Titans vs. Cowboys game at Nissan Stadium
52-year-old James Winchester was jailed during Thursday night’s Tennessee Titans game at Nissan Stadium after punching multiple people in section 310 during the game. As two women attempted to stop him from fighting, he punched them both and bit a man’s arm who was also attempting to intervene. It wasn’t clear if his tears were from the final score or a result of his arrest.
Kevin Sproul — too drunk for downtown Nashville
55-year-old Kevin Wade Sproul was charged with public intoxication on December 28th when police observed Kevin standing unsteady in the middle of Broadway in downtown Nashville, blocking traffic and smelling of alcohol. Due to his inability to move out of the roadway on his own, and his extreme level of intoxication, he was transported to booking.
Vuni Luka too drunk to stay at the Quality Inn
Police say a very drunken 35-year-old Vuni Luka arrived at the Quality Inn & Suites on Elm Hill Pike Thursday afternoon and was denied service due to his extreme level of intoxication. After exiting the lobby, Luka sat on a large wooden patio table, which he fell back onto, destroying it.
James Smith — drunk with a handgun & weed at Double E’s Bar and Grill
59-year-old James Smith was kicked out of Double E’s Bar and Grill on Lebanon Pike after consuming a large amount of alcohol and becoming disorderly with other patrons. He then fell asleep in his car in the parking lot. Later that night, security approached his vehicle to check on him, at which time Smith stood up and reached into his pants in a draw/stroke motion. Security tackled him to the ground and disarmed him. Officers arrived to find him detained and took custody of the Glock 43X and two blunts from his pants pocket.
Chase Cummins asks for a ride home, MNPD takes him to jail
After a night of drinking in downtown Nashville on Christmas Eve, 22-year-old Chase Austin Cummins approached a Metro Nashville Police Officer at 3rd & Broadway and asked for a ride home. When officers learned he lived in Franklin, they advised they could not accommodate him since he lived outside of the county. He didn’t have enough money for a taxi and wasn’t able to locate a friend to assist. Left with no other options, he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Kalli Smith — drunk, dazed, and disoriented in downtown Nashville
Police say 33-year-old Kalli Rose Smith was found in downtown Nashville unaware of her location and heavily intoxicated. She could not tell officers where she was staying or where she was going. Due to her level of intoxication and potential of becoming a victim of a more serious crime, she was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
Drunken airline passenger John Enloe jailed after causing scene at Nashville Airport
Airport Police responded to a disturbance at Gate C10 Thursday, where an American Airlines Pilot simply pointed at 44-year-old John Alexander Enloe, who he described as “the man in the red shirt.” Enloe, who was visibly intoxicated, told police he was actually the victim of an assault. He explained that another passenger continued to place their bags in what he considered to be a public walkway, and he continued to move them out of the walkway. The other passenger made contact with Enloe’s hand as it was on their suitcase, and Enloe claimed an assault.
Officers advised Enloe he could go to the magistrate’s office and swear out a warrant if he wished to prosecute for the perceived assault. Unhappy the police were not arresting his alleged assailant, Enloe began screaming and dramatically replaying the events leading up to the officers’ arrival. He was screaming at uninvolved flight crews and cursing with children present in the area. After he refused to calm down, Enloe was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Russian tourist Oleg Belonogov too drunk for Nashville
30-year-old Russian tourist Oleg Belonogov was charged with public intoxication on December 21st. According to police, Oleg refused to leave the EG&MC Restaurant and Bar on Jefferson St when asked and began to annoy other customers. When officers arrived at the bar, they offered to give Oleg a ride home or to his hotel, but he refused and told officers he would walk. Officers reported they could smell a “strong odor of alcohol” coming from his breath and that Oleg was unable to walk on his own safely, so he was taken into custody.
Drunken Santa, Koy Stewart, breaks into Wildhorse Saloon, sleeps on shuffleboard table
26-year-old Koy Stewart, while dressed in a Santa costume and extremely intoxicated, broke into the Wildhorse Saloon in the early hours of Thursday morning. Security video shows after he forced the door open, he walked upstairs and laid on a shuffleboard table. Police arrived after a public works employee, Johnny Pete, witnessed him enter the closed and locked venue. Officers arrived and sent a K-9 into the building, and Stewart was located sitting on the floor. He was charged with aggravated trespassing and public intoxication.
Edgar Rodriguez charged with public intoxication at Nashville International Airport
Edgar Rodriguez was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with public intoxication at the Nashville International Airport. According to police, Edgar was found at the bottom level of the airport slumped over, asleep with an opened bottle of alcohol between his feet. Officers attempted to wake him multiple times, even threatening to tase him if he didn’t stand up. Once another officer arrived on the scene, he was taken into custody and transported to the Nashville Metro Jail for booking. When asked why he was at the airport, he simply stated, “drink.”
Tourist Anthony Bauer threatens to “R-Kelly” someone in jail until they have a ‘happy ending’
19-year-old tourist Anthony Harold Bauer was asked to leave the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel late Sunday night as they determined he was not a guest at the hotel but was relaxing on a couch in the lobby, but he refused to move from the couch. He was visibly intoxicated, and despite multiple requests from officers, he refused to leave the hotel. As he was being placed under arrest for trespassing and public intoxication, he tensed up and resisted arrest. Once at the patrol car, Bauer attempted to head-butt officer Reynolds and was escorted to the side of the vehicle, and he spat on officers twice during a struggle to get him seated inside. Once at booking, Bauer exclaimed, “I’m going to p** in someone’s mouth, and they’re going to org*sm.”
