Metro Nashville Police found 61-year-old Ricky Lee Cook at the Johnny Cash Museum restaurant, where staff had asked him to leave after they deemed him to be a bother to staff and patrons, and he refused to do so. Police noticed he was heavily intoxicated, and took him into custody. During a search incidental to his arrest, officers located a leather satchel with a green Tupperware container inside, which contained his personal use marijuana. When asked, he confirmed it was marijuana, and stated: “I’ve been smoking pot for 50 years”. Police charged him with drug possession and public intoxication and transported him to jail. He is free on pre-trial release.

21-year-old Luke Dabbelt was charged with public intoxication late Friday night, after he attempted to enter the women’s restroom at Redneck Rivera on Broadway in downtown Nashville, and was got into a scuffle with security when they asked him to leave. He reportedly kicked and hit the venue’s security officer, and was cuffed when police arrived.
Intoxicated Woman found wandering in middle of Gallatin Pike — Cailin Daily arrested
An intoxicated 24-year-old Cailin Daily wandered into the middle of Gallatin Pike just before 1 AM Friday morning, telling police she had just left a friend’s house and was unable to locate her vehicle, which was parked ‘somewhere’ on Gallatin Pike. Due to her extreme level of intoxication and inability to provide an address or phone number of a friend to assist her, she was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

22-year-old Isaac Jordan was deemed to be too drunk for Kid Rock’s bar Saturday night when he became disorderly and refused to leave when asked by bar staff. When police arrived he continued to yell that he “didn’t do anything wrong!” and reeked of alcohol. He was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with public intoxication.

Patrons of the Dogwood Nashville Bar flagged down police after noticing 30-year-old Donovan Staley was on the ground and unresponsive. 26-year-old Danny McClanahan encountered a vehicle illegally parked in a permanent and highly visible bicycle lane at 5 AM in East Nashville Sunday morning. He began to bang on the nearby windows to have the person move their illegally parked automobile so it was safe for cyclists to pass. For his trouble, Metro Nashville police determined he was intoxicated and placed him under arrest, for which he resisted. He is free on pre-trial release.
Broadway Claims Another: Eric Young found sleeping face-down & intoxicated in front of Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville
Officers located a very intoxicated 34-year-old Eric Lee Young face down on the sidewalk, apparently sleeping it off, outside of Kid Rock’s Bar around closing time Friday morning. He had trouble standing on his own and thought he was an entirely different bar. He was charged with public intoxication.

Metro Nashville Police say highly intoxicated 30-year-old William Spielberg hid in the stairwell at Lucky Bastard Saloon in downtown Nashville, and when an employee was walking up the stairwell just before closing early Monday morning, Spielberg unleashed the spray of the extinguisher onto the employee. Spielberg was charged with public intoxication and booked into the Metro Nashville Jail.

36-year-old Philadelphia tourist James Payton was found “extremely intoxicated” and attempting to fight staff at the Moxy in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was immediately irritated with the arrival of officers and stated they should “walk away from him, right now!”. Despite attempts to get him to his room, he stated he wasn’t going anywhere. Officers understood the assignment and took Payton into custody, charging him with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He is free on pre-trial release.

36-year-old Terrance McAboy was found sitting in a vehicle parked at an apartment complex where he didn’t live early Sunday morning. Metro Police came in contact with him during the course of a domestic disturbance investigation at the location, and he refused to leave the property when asked to do so. Upon further observation, he was visibly intoxicated, with slurred speech and trouble balancing. He was taken into custody, charged with public intoxication.

21-year-old Tavis Cobb was leaning against a car in the Commerce St garage downtown Sunday night, believing it was his friend’s vehicle. When someone came up to the car and unlocked it, Tavis climbed inside, too intoxicated to realize it was neither his friend, nor his friend’s vehicle. He was unable to call anyone, he didn’t have a phone with him, and only knew he was “in Nashville”. Cobb was charged with public intoxication and taken to booking for the night.

30-year-old Laura Kathryn Kelley tried paying for her beer at SandBar Nashville with a hotel keycard. 47-year-old Robert Parker was causing a disturbance at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel this past weekend. Security initially detained him, at which time he was being verbally aggressive toward security staff and Nashville Fire Department medics, who were also on scene. He was charged with public intoxication. It was not immediately known what event caused Parker to become disorderly.

60-year-old musician Scott Garbutt was denied entry to a concert in Nashville this weekend for being too intoxicated prior to the show. Police found 40-year-old Adam Green “laying on the ground rolling around and punching the air” while investigating a report of someone exposing themselves to people downtown. He explained he had been “practicing martial arts and fell over” onto the ground. When asked if he had been exposing himself, he explained that he wasn’t all there and did not mean to do so, adding that he was high on marijuana, and police note he “seemed to be in his own reality”. He was charged with public intoxication and transported to jail.

Denney was also flagged to serve the full eight-hour hold before being released.
