Eric Mathers charged after downtown disruptive behavior

Entertainment District Unit officers were flagged down by a group of women who reported that 24-year-old Eric Mathers would not leave them alone. Officers spoke with Mathers, who reeked of alcohol, and attempted to get him a ride home. He could not arrange a ride and refused a taxi or ride-share. He then attempted to walk away and pushed one of the officers. Mathers was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Jacob Colton Williams to police: “I’ll have your jobs for kidnapping me!”

31-year-old Jacob Colton Williams told Metro Nashville Police officers, “I’ll have your jobs for kidnapping me!” as they handcuffed him and placed him into the rear of a patrol car on Broadway in downtown Nashville this weekend. Williams had caused a disturbance at Nudie’s Honky Tonk after he was refused entry due to his level of intoxication and assaulted security, who restrained him until police arrived. While in custody, Williams told police, “you act like the kids I coach!” Once at booking, Williams refused to exit the patrol car until a night court magistrate came out to speak with him.

Carolyn Richard Abell too drunk to fly at Nashville Internation Airport

61-year-old Carolyn Richard Abell was denied boarding her Southwest Airlines flight on February 7 due to her extreme level of intoxication. Airport security became involved at the gate, noting that Abell had urinated on herself. She was asked to leave the airport property via taxi or rideshare, but she refused, asking, “I can’t stay here?” When informed she could not remain on airport property, she stated, “I’m not going anywhere; I’m going home!” She was then placed into custody for public intoxication, despite her resistance.

Lindsey Morrissey — deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

29-year-old Lindsey Morrisey was standing in the middle of 4th Ave in downtown Nashville late Saturday night with heavy traffic around her. Officers noticed her in the roadway and responded to check on her welfare. She was escorted out of the roadway, only to return immediately. Due to her state of intoxication, she was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication. A search incident to arrest revealed an empty liquor bottle on her person.

Nashville Pilot Joel Boyers drunk at airport with a case of White Claws in tow — FlyNash y’all

42-year-old pilot and flight instructor Joel Boyers, who is the co-owner of Helistar Aviation and FlyNash.com, was jailed Saturday after he showed up at the airport in an extreme state of intoxication with a case of White Claws. Staff reported he was initially aggressive but had since calmed down, and they were unsure if he was on drugs or just alcohol. He yelled at customers, prompting the call to Airport Police. He became argumentative with officers while holding a can of White Claw in his hand. He agreed to arrange a ride home, but while he was waiting for transportation to arrive, he became disruptive with costumes once again and was taken into custody. Diane Thompson — too drunk for the Lucky Bastard Saloon

53-year-old Diane Thompson was observed by security staff at the Lucky Bastard Saloon in downtown Nashville as she was stumbling and bumping into other patrons due to her extreme level of intoxication. She was escorted out of the venue and onto the sidewalk, where she caught the attention of officers working the Entertainment District. She was unable to stand up straight and slurred her speech to the point that she was not understandable. She was taken into custody for public intoxication and transported to booking.

FedEx Employee Franklin Martin drunkenly drives trailer tugger on his off day

23-year-old “tugger certified” employee Franklin Martin was on the FedEx property outside of his working hours Sunday evening. Officers were called when he would not leave, and though he was slightly intoxicated, he was cooperative and was given a courtesy ride away from the property at 5 p.m. with a warning not to return unless he was scheduled to work. At 9 p.m. Sunday, he returned to the FedEx property, even more intoxicated, and the office initially refused him entrance. He then snuck onto the truck lot and located a ‘trailer tugger,’ which he drove from the truck lot to the parking lot.

Andrew L. Peters drunk and stumbling in downtown Nashville

50-year-old Andrew Peters fell down on the ground in downtown Nashville late Sunday night, and officers arrived to assist the extremely intoxicated man. Nashville medics also responded to the scene, and he refused all assistance. Peters became highly combative, hostile, and argumentative with officers and the surrounding public. Due to his inability to care for himself, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Tourist James Rodgers loses his wife and his freedom after drunken night on Broadway

36-year-old James Rodgers was causing a disturbance outside of Layla’s Honky Tonk Sunday afternoon in downtown Nashville. Officers working in the Entertainment District approached him and immediately observed him to be unsteady on his feet and intoxicated. Rodgers stated he was attempting to find his wife but did not remember what bar they were at nor what hotel they were staying at. She did not answer the phone, but officers were able to determine the phone was located at the Hilton Hotel. Officers gave Rodgers directions to the hotel, and he said he would go there to find her. Moments later, officers had to return to the area as Rodgers was once again causing a disturbance at the location, yelling, screaming, and stumbling into the street.

Soldier Tyler Rakar pleads and cries to not be arrested for his drunken antics in downtown Nashville

26-year-old soldier Tyler Rakar was kicked out of Whiskey Row late Friday night in downtown Nashville. After being removed, an officer met him outside and attempted to get him a ride home due to his extreme level of intoxication. As he pretended to call for a ride on his cell phone, he moved away from officers and attempted to re-enter Whisky Row by forcing his way through the exit doors. Rakar began to plead and cry not to be arrested and was staggering when attempting to stand. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Collin Erdman cried and begged not to be arrested for DUI — he was walking

26-year-old Collin Erdman was found on the streets of downtown Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning, where he says his roommate had just dropped him off to avoid a DUI. When officers encountered him, Erdman had just thrown his cell phone, which struck a random woman and caused her lip to bleed. He was reportedly extremely intoxicated and kept crying and begging not to be charged with DUI (despite being on foot). The woman refused to press charges, and Erdman was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Patrons near Jason Aldean’s Bar flagged down officers working the Entertainment District late Saturday night to alert them that a very drunken 27-year-old Michael Farmer was staggering around and pulling on random door handles. Officers made contact with Farmer, who was typing random letters into his phone while staggering. He was described as incoherent, with slurred speech and repeated words and phrases. As he was being taken into custody, he was unable to sit upright in the back of a patrol car. He claimed to have only consumed 2-3 alcoholic drinks.

Gary Rob Brown believes cop is Taylor swift, wants to kiss him in downtown Nashville

Cookeville’s 50-year-old Gary Rob Brown was kicked out of Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early morning hours of Feb 1 for disorderly behavior. He then sat on the sidewalk directly in front of the business, blocking patrons, and refused to move. Metro Nashville Police Officers arrived and only received nonsensical responses to questions they asked him. Brown repeatedly called officer Maximillian Goldberg “Taylor Swift” and “Steve Jobs” and stated he wanted to kiss him. He requested medical assistance but refused it when they arrived. An officer described his state as “in a heightened state and continuously speaking in a stream-of-consciousness manner that did not have any logical direction.” As he was being taken into custody for public intoxication, Brown reportedly began spitting in the direction of onlookers and shouting obscenities at them.

Denylle Boden found half-naked and asleep in front of apartment she insisted was hers

Police say 37-year-old Denylle Boden was found asleep in front of an apartment on Rice Road in Antioch with her breasts exposed to the world. Officers initially responded to a report of someone attempting to get into an apartment. Officers woke Boden from her sleep, and she seemed confused and agitated. She insisted she lived at the apartment she was attempting to get into, but it was not her apartment. Her correct address was located on her ID, but she refused to allow the police to take her home. She was unable to stand or walk and was unable to be left on her own. She was transported to booking and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Yarin Sanchez kicked out of AJ’s Good Time Bar after fighting with other patrons

Officers located 33-year-old Yarin Sanchez outside of AJ’s Good Time Bar in downtown Nashville late Saturday night after bouncers removed her from the venue for fighting with other patrons. She was visibly intoxicated and causing a disturbance, and she also wanted to report her phone was stolen. After taking the stolen phone report, Yarin drunkenly attempted to re-enter the bar she had just been kicked out of. Officers gave her warnings to stay outside, but she refused and was taken into custody for public intoxication.
