Unhoused man assaults Downtown Partnership employee on 4th Ave — Dustin Tomasso

An ambassador with the Nashville Downtown Partnership was checking on the well-being of 38-year-old Dustin Tomasso, who was on a sidewalk in downtown Nashville. Tomasso, who is unhoused, became hostile during the interaction and made aggressive motions toward the downtown employee, Michael Dean Henderson, and was spitting on him. As officers noticed the incident unfolding nearby, they began to approach and witnessed Tomasso chest bump Henderson and begin to assault him, including punching him in the head. Nearby citizens took Tomasso to the ground as officers approached.

North Carolina tourist Brandon Juhaish drunk dives into bed of police pickup truck during CMA Fest

Metro Nashville Police working Entertainment District for the CMA Fest crowd in downtown Nashville Thursday night observed 39-year-old Brandon Juhaish stumbling down the sidewalk near 5th & Broadway when he fell to the ground. He was assisted back to his feet by another citizen before falling back down and rolling around on the sidewalk. Juhaish then made his way back to his feet before running and diving into the bed of a marked MNPD pickup truck.

Colorado man arrested after interjecting himself into dispute at The Diner downtown — Kirk McCoy

Metro Nashville Police working CMA Fest in downtown Nashville Thursday night responded to a call about a man fighting with the manager at the 3rd Ave S. location. While working that call, they encountered the subject’s friend, 38-year-old Kirk Dean McCoy, who was holding on to his friend in order to stand upright and was highly intoxicated. When officers asked McCoy to step aside so they could continue their investigation, he physically got between the subject and officers to prevent them from continuing their investigation. After being asked to move along multiple times, he was placed into custody for public intoxication.

Trevor Fallen goes to jail after ignoring MNPD officers, crossing street in downtown Nashville

A traffic officer working the downtown Nashville Entertainment District told 26-year-old Trevor Fallen to not walk into the roadway Friday evening at the intersection of 5th & Broadway, yet he continued to do so. Metro Nashville Police Officer Randall also advised Fallon it was unsafe to currently cross the roadway and was also ignored. Once contact was made with Fallon, police say it was obvious he was too intoxicated to care for himself, and he was transported to booking for public intoxication.

Kristin Harrison found passed out in downtown Nashville — public intoxication

Around 6 p.m. Sunday, multiple people began to report a female passed out on 4th Ave just north of Broadway. Officers and first responders located 34-year-old Kristin Harrison as the person in question, and after a few minutes, she was responsive and able to sit up and speak with them. She was heavily intoxicated, reeked of alcohol, and was unable to stand steadily. Despite multiple attempts to arrange for someone to pick her up or a ride to her destination, no arrangement were able to be made and she was transported to booking where she was charged with public intoxication.

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville Sunday encountered 22-year-old Connor Schultz outside of 300 Broadway after he was asked to leave a bar by security. Officers say he was entirely too intoxicated to care for himself in public, and transported him to booking, charging him with public intoxication.

Jonathan Cordon jailed after unable to pay $508 tab at Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police say 30-year-old Jonathan Cordon, of La Vergne, was unable to pay his $508.53 bar tab at Kid Rock’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville Thursday morning. Police initially responded to the venue after Cordon continued to re-enter the bar after being removed by security staff for fighting other patrons. He kept sneaking in through a window and was removed twice already when police came to assist. They observed him being belligerent and extremely intoxicated. As they placed him in the patrol car to be transported to booking, bar staff alerted officers the credit card was declined. Cordon said he had no other way to pay the bill, and Kid Rock’s bar wished to prosecute for the unpaid tab.

Dustin Christopher Slade, downtown: drunk, fought, fled, freed.

Officers working the EDI (Entertainment District Initiative) in downtown Nashville Friday observed 32-year-old Dustin Christopher Slade in a fight with another person at 5th & Broadway. While the other party didn’t wish to prosecute for the assault, officers determined Slade was too intoxicated to care for himself and attempted to place him into custody for public intoxication. Initially, Slade ran from the scene; however, officers were able to catch up with him a short distance away.

Michael Riedel determined to party at Honky Tonk Central; punches a bouncer after being kicked out

Security at Honky Tonk Central on Broadway in downtown Nashville escorted 37-year-old Michael Riedel out of the venue for being disorderly, and he continued to attempt to come back inside. As he was being removed a subsequent time, he reportedly punched one of the bouncers. Metro Nashville Police arrived to assist and observed Riedel swaying on his feet and obviously overly intoxicated to the point he was unable to spell his own name. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Metro Nashville Police say they found 53-year-old Joseph Parisi on the sidewalk of 600 Broadway in downtown Nashville just before 7 p.m. Sunday, so intoxicated he didn’t know what day it was, why he was in Nashville, or how he planned to get back to where he was staying. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and admittedly had no one to care for him in his current condition. The officers then took him into custody and transported him to booking, charging him with public intoxication.

Metro Nashville Police responded to Legends Corner at 428 Broadway for a disorderly person call on Saturday, where they found 43-year-old Jason O’Brian. They say he was so intoxicated he could not stand up straight, and when they told him this fact, he stated, “I am standing up straight!” — but he was not. When asked if he had someone who could care for him or come get him, he said “yes” but refused to provide any further information or point them out. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, he was transported to booking.

28-year-old Sean Puzewski was located unresponsive and heavily intoxicated in front of Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning. Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative arrived to assist, along with medics from the Nashville Fire Department. He was already loaded onto the medic’s cot when he came to and began to unbuckle the safety straps and then refused any and all medical assistance. Due to his level of intoxication and inability to care for himself, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Woman found passed out at Jason Aldean’s back door, wanders into traffic when awoken — Kelly Smith

Metro Nashville Police were flagged down by security at Jason Aldean’s bar, who stated they had located an intoxicated woman passed out at their back door. Officers found 54-year-old Kelly Smith and woke her up. She could not stand without falling and was “severely intoxicated” according to an arrest report. An ambulance was called to the scene, however, Smith refused all medical assistance. She then tried to wander into traffic, so officers decided she could not care for herself and transported her to booking.

Southwest passenger Kevin Comeaux found “dazed and confused” at airport bar

Nashville Airport Police found 22-year-old Kevin Comeaux slumped over and asleep at the bar of the Puckett’s restaurant on Concourse D. Officer awakened him for a welfare check and found him very “dazed and confused,” and it was apparent he had urinated on himself while at the bar. He refused to provide his name, only offering that he was fine and flying with Southwest Airlines. A Southwest representative responded to the bar and advised him he would be denied boarding due to his state of intoxication. The officer attempted to escort him to the unsecured side of the airport where he could be rebooked for a later flight; however, Comeaux refused to cooperate. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Nicole Moore charged with public intoxication after unable locate friend, knocking on random doors

Late Tuesday night, downtown officers were called to Middleton Street on a complaint of 29-year-old Nicole Moore pulling on door handles and knocking on the doors of random apartments and condos in the area. Police noted her to be extremely intoxicated, unsteady when standing, smelling of alcohol, and with slurred speech. She does not live in the area but stated she was visiting a friend who she was unable to locate.

Woman says David Cox touched her inappropriately, MNPD says he’s just drunk and burpy

A woman flagged down Metro Nashville Police Officer James Harber and told him that a man identified as 21-year-old David Cox was touching her inappropriately and without her consent while inside Kid Rock’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville, and he continued despite being told to stop multiple times. Officer Harber placed Cox in the rear of his patrol car, where he noted he “belched continuously.” Officer Harber noted that “due to the actions of the defendant and his obvious intoxicated condition,” he was charged with public intoxication. He was transported to booking, where he stayed for the standard eight-hour hold, at which time he was released with charges dismissed.

Metro Nashville Police received a call on Thursday mid-day, reporting that staff of Luke Bryan’s Bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville had a man pinned to the ground and needed assistance. Officers arrived to find 40-year-old Shane Peters still being held to the ground. Security staff stated he was being unruly and was asked to leave but refused to do so. When he became combative, he was taken to the ground to await the arrival of the police. Peters told police he had been drinking during the day and didn’t like how staff approached him. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Metro Nashville Police found 25-year-old Dustin Swann, described as a bloody ginger with a ripped shirt, near 3rd & Demonbreun in downtown Nashville, where he had stumbled after fighting with multiple patrons at the FGL House bar. When Officer Forrest Punke approached the heavily intoxicated man, Swann pushed Punke in the chest with his hands, knocking him backward with substantial force. He also battled with Officer Joshua Zambrano-Vera as he attempted to place him into custody. Eventually secured by cuffs, Swann continued to be hostile and shout at patrons.

Alejandro Trujillo punches friend in face who takes his keys to prevent him from drunk driving

Metro Nashville Police responded to a call for service early Thursday morning at 1st & Gay street in downtown Nashville regarding an apparent fight between two friends. They located 24-year-old Alejandro Trujillo and Victor Martinez, who had been out drinking downtown and were returning to the parking area. When Victor told Alejandro he should not drive due to his level of intoxication and took his keys from him, Alejandro punched him in the face 4-5 times, chipping his tooth and injuring his lip. He was charged with public intoxication and assault, and received a free ride to booking by a designated driver, Officer Damon Hutcheson.
