Drunk Marine charged with carrying a handgun inside bar — Michael Selby arrested

Metro Police came into contact with 23-year-old Michael Selby as they were working the downtown district this weekend and noticed Selby and others assisting a very intoxicated individual down the stairs.

It turned out Selby was also intoxicated, and have a loaded handgun in a pouch on his waistband. Police took him into custody, charging him with possession of a firearm while drinking inside a bar. He is free on pre-trial release.

Titans fan brandishes gun when Dolphins fans attack car outside Nissan Stadium — Austin Morris arrested

Metro Nashville Police say Miami Dolphins fans were hitting and kicking a Nissan Altima and taunting the four Titans fans inside the vehicle just before 3 p.m. Sunday outside Nissan Stadium. That’s when 27-year-old Austin Morris emerged from the passenger seat of the vehicle and brandished a black handgun at the individuals in the Dolphins jerseys.

Morris remained in the middle of the street and appeared heavily intoxicated. Officers additionally located an open bottle of liquor where he had been sitting, and he admitted to having several drinks during the game. Morris was charged with possession of a weapon under the influence and transported to booking.

Woman rams gate of Antioch Apartments when she feels threatened by security, she’s arrested — Emi Amador Canales

19-year-old Emi Amador Canales arrived at her gated apartment community, The Club Apartments in Antioch, at 4 a.m. but was unable to get the gate to open. She began honking her horn, alerting AEGIS Security Officer Jonathan Rickaway who began shining a light in her car, and causing the situation to quickly escalate as words were exchanged and she smacked the flashlight from his hand, hitting him in the arm. Taking offense to her reaction, Rickaway took it upon himself to reach into her vehicle and attempt to put her vehicle in park.

In reaction to a man reaching inside her vehicle, she began fighting Rickaway and eventually rammed the gates with her vehicle in an attempt to flee away from this security guard. Rickaway got one cuff on her arm during the struggle, however, she escaped to the backseat and grabbed her loaded handgun. Police eventually arrived and charged Canales with assault and vandalism. Rickaway faced no charges. Canales is free on pre-trial release.

Local man climbs atop Nashville Symphony fountain, lets it all hang out and flow — Kyle Colella arrested

24-year-old Kyle Colella is charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication after Metro Nashville Police say he climbed atop the extravagant fountain outside the Nashville Symphony in downtown Nashville, exposed himself, and began urinating into the fountain. An off-duty officer working security detained and he was transported to booking, deemed too intoxicated to care for himself. He is free on pre-trial release.

DUI: Man found asleep behind wheel of Tesla in Nashville’s Music Valley — Jarod Parker

Just three months after moving to Nashville, Metro Police found 22-year-old Jarod Parker asleep behind the wheel of his red Tesla at the intersection of Music Valley Dr & McGavock Pk. Officers say he was belligerent upon being awoken from his slumber and reeked of alcohol. Parker was charged with DUI and is free on pre-trial release.

31-year-old Brian Elliot Hyken, who performs under the name “Brian Elliot” says he had “3 gin & tonics” at the Pearl Diver in East Nashville before he ran over a curb to collide with shrubbery and a fire hydrant in the early hours of August 31st. He refused a breathalyzer and was charged with DUI. He is free on pre-trial release.
