19-year-old Matthew Liendo was jailed after causing a disturbance in Lewis Hall at Vanderbilt University just after 2 a.m. Monday. Officers say he was asked to leave the building as he loudly and repeatedly knocked on the third floor door of a female student. He was instructed to leave the building and refused, stating, “or what?” He then continued, “I will not leave the building or stop knocking and shouting unless I am arrested!” He was ultimately granted his wish and taken into custody. A search of his person incident to arrest revealed a gold Spiderman grinder and 0.7 grams of marijuana.

Paulina Ceja Sanchez found with packaged heroin and marijuana during traffic stop
21-year-old Paulina Ceja Sanchez was in the passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was traveling the wrong way on a one-way street in downtown Nashville on January 16. During a subsequent traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted. In a zipper bag which she claimed, officers located 13.5 grams of marijuana and individually packaged capsules with a folded piece of paper in each, which contained 0.9 grams of heroin. A loaded Sig P365 was also located, along with scales and a grinder.
DUI: Michael Powers says he snorted heroin prior to crash in North Nashville
45-year-old Michael Powers told police he used heroin prior to crashing his Hyundai Elantra in North Nashville on January 6. Witnesses say he was driving recklessly and hit two other vehicles before hitting a red truck and flipping his vehicle, eventually stopping while facing south in the northbound lanes of Clarksville Pike. He was speaking incoherently and had constricted pupils, and nodded off while speaking to the police. Heroin and a snort straw were located inside the vehicle.
Brentwood Police cut the cord on teen plug Trace Latourette — jailed on $137K bond
18-year-old Trace Alan Latourette is jailed in lieu of a $137,500 bond after police conducted a traffic stop for a non-working license plate light and discovered a firearm and a cornucopia of drugs. During the traffic stop on Split Log Road on December 19th, Brentwood Police discovered four marijuana-filled pickle jars, with weights of 14.7 grams, 56.9 grams, 132.9 grams, and 138.8 grams individually. A Glock .45 and a magazine was recovered from the driver’s door area. A black backpack inside the vehicle contained four extra magazines for the firearm, three cell phones, and $3,748 in cash, along with a digital scale. In the passenger seat was an open case of Twisted Tea, with an empty consumed can nearby, and another case in the back seat. A red bag inside the vehicle contained a Tupperware container with 30-50 rolled marijuana joints inside, 100 THC vape cartridges, and 10-15 nicotine vaping devices.
DUI: Lisa Choate crashes into parked cars, flips Hyundai Elantra upside down after drinking & smoking
Police say 60-year-old Lisa Choate crashed her Hyundai Elentra into two parked vehicles before flipping it entirely upside down in the middle of Morrow Road on December 4th. She was unable to explain how the crash occurred but did admit to drinking two 100 ml 99-proof Long Island Tea bottles and smoking marijuana prior to driving. Officer located multiple empty bottles inside her purse and outside the car. During a search, officers also located marijuana inside three plastic bags, a plastic container, and in a metal pipe. Choate would later blow a 0.159% BAC on a breathalyzer.
Robert Charbonneau charged with a cornucopia of drugs during Dickerson Pike traffic stop
A traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 55mph in a 40 mph zone on Dickerson Pike revealed 30-year-old Robert Charbonneau in the passenger seat alongside a female driver. Police say they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a search. While no marijuana was found, Robert’s backpack contained 5 used glass pipes, 10 Suboxone pills, 2 generic Viagra, 1 Trazodone, and 2.4 grams of powder which tested positive for Fentanyl.
Austin Parker Suedekum charged with DUI & drug possession in Nashville
25-year-old Austin Parker Suedekum drove into a sobriety checkpoint after buying marijuana and drinking alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and though he initially agreed to a blood draw, once his father arrived at the scene he revoked that consent. A night court judge signed a warrant for the blood draw. He is charged with DUI & drug possession.
Christopher Carothers admits to using heroin prior to crashing into another vehicle
Police say 47-year-old Christopher Carothers was one block away from his home when he drove his white Lexus into the other lane of travel and collided with another vehicle, injuring two people. Officer founds Carothers sitting on a sidewalk, shaking with pinpoint pupils when they arrived. His sentences were incoherent and he continuously nodded off after admitting he had shot up with heroin shortly before the crash. Police located 30 Oxycodone pills and a dollar bill containing heroin inside the vehicle. After a warrant was granted for his blood, he was transported to Metro General before being booked into jail.
Woman assaults brother with straight razor between eyes, $45K bond — Dominique H Thomas
31-year-old Dominique Thomas is charged with the aggravated assault of her brother, Marcus Price, after she attacked him with a purse in her left hand and a straight-edge razor in her right hand, as he was on the couch. The victim suffered a severe slice wound directly between his eyes. As he called the police she fled the scene. Police and medics responded, and a felony warrant was issued for her arrest. The argument reportedly was over her choice to use drugs rather than drive their mother to the store.
Two days later as officers were attempting to serve the felony warrant on Thomas, they blocked her vehicle in and activated their blue lights as she fled toward her apartment with officers in a foot chase. Officers took her into custody, and found her with a glass pipe with narcotic residue in her pocket. She remains jailed in lieu of a $45,000 bond, charged with felony aggravated assault, drug paraphernalia, evading arrest, and resisting arrest.
