Officers responded to their South Nashville apartment on February 2, where the victim stated her husband slapped her, pushed her to the ground, grabbed her by the neck to strangle her, and held a knife to her throat, which cut her. He is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A throuple wasn’t enough for Kaylum Futrell; he cheated with another person & it got wild
21-year-old Kaylum K. Futrell has been in a throuple relationship with both Carisa Murrell and Keyonia Stewart, and on Thursday they were all three at Stewart’s apartment, along with other friends. Someone at the gathering informed the two women that Kaylum just wasn’t satisfied with dating two women at the same time and had been cheating on them with a third, which he confirmed. The two women announced they were ending their relationship with him, and the throuple erupted into an altercation. Kaylum pushed Stewart out of her own apartment; he later stated it was so he wouldn’t hurt her.
A neighbor, Crystal Evans, heard the commotion and announced she was calling police. Kaylum then reportedly opened the door and assaulted Evans and her juvenile children, who were all outside. He then grabbed the branch of a tree and attempted to damage her vehicle, and then turned the branch on Evans, assaulting her with it, striking her in the head. During his arrest, Futrell spat on an officer.
Amy Peterson charged with assaulting husband during divorce discussion that got “really crazy”
Bryan Peterson called 911 after an argument with his wife, 32-year-old Amy Westney Peterson, which he described to police as “really crazy.” The argument began as they were discussing getting a divorce. As the discussion escalated, she reportedly put a knife to her own throat, prompting Bryan to call the police for assistance. Bryan says she physically attacked him as he was making the emergency call, and strangled him during the struggle. She is charged with domestic assault.
Heather Rose Brinn assaults sleeping boyfriend over Facebook posts
Tim Basford says he was sleeping when his girlfriend, 40-year-old Heather Rose Brinn, entered their shared bedroom and struck him in the head with a blunt object. She was yelling about Facebook posts and throwing objects around the room. She then took his work phone and attempted to run out of the house with it, however, he grabbed her by the arm to prevent her from destroying it, stating she has a history of destroying his belonging. Officers say Brinn’s version of events changed each time she recounted it, and that she has a history of domestic violence incidents. She was charged with domestic assault with bodily injury and is free on a $2,500 bond.
Torriano Fields admits to smacking his girlfriend, says he was upset with her.
29-year-old Torriano Fields told police “Yes, I smacked her, I was upset with her” when they responded to a domestic disturbance call on in Antioch on March 15th. Hi girlfriend, Angela Hill, called 911 to report the assault and stated the pair had been arguing all day long. Fields is charged with domestic assault.
A Nashville first date goes horribly wrong, and it’s not the first time — Daniel Sassano arrested
A woman says she went on a first date with 29-year-old Danny Sassano this weekend, and they were at her house in the bed when Sassano began making sexual advances on her, touching her all over. She told him she did not want to have sex that night and asked him to leave, at which time he reportedly became very irate and shoved her in the chest, leaving visible abrasions. Police placed Sassano into custody, but only charged him with domestic assault, as Sex Crimes Detectives stated there was not enough probable cause for sexual assault warrants. Officers also discovered he had an outstanding warrant from another incident in which a woman told him to leave her residence and he grabbed her phone from the bedside table and ran water over it so she could not call 911, then tossed her to the ground. Woman assaults boyfriend after seeing Snapchat notification on his phone — Taquisha Burt
Metro Police say Jacques Jamar Smith called police after his girlfriend, 26-year-old Taquisha Burt, observed a SnapChat message pop up on his phone inside their Hickory Highlands apartment. She then threw a lotion bottle at him before running toward him, attacking him, leaving scratch marks on his back. He attempted to go outside and de-escalate the situation, however, Burt was not open to that option. Video footage corroborated the assault.
Nashville man charged with stalking using Apple AirTag in victim’s car — Taras Johnson
45-year-old Taras Johnson is charged with stalking his ex-girlfriend, Lashonda Campbell on several occasions, one of which reportedly involved him tracking her via an Apple AirTag in her vehicle. The pair have a long history of back-and-forth disputes using the court system, many of which are eventually dropped due to the other becoming unwilling to testify.
23-year-old charged when actual “Netflix & Chill” goes wrong with ex-girlfriend — Roberto Herrera
23-year-old Roberto Herrera is charged with sexual battery and is free on a $5,000 bond. Police say he came to the home of his ex-girlfriend and requested to come in and “watch a movie”, which she agreed to, but told him she had a new boyfriend, and nothing “sexual” could happen. At some point during the Netflix he decided to chill and laid his head in her lap, and pulled her closer to him when she attempted to get up. She told him she would call 911 if he didn’t stop, however, he then went to her bedroom and got into her bed, where she says he forcefully kissed her and rubbed her. Court records show she told him to leave, and he replied “I understand you don’t want meq, I will leave now”, and left the apartment. The victim says she felt unsafe, even after he left, and then called police.

Poice say 32-year-old Sade Deshay Harris appeared at J. Alexanders in June, where she found her ex-boyfriend and father of her child, Cheyenne Turner, who was dining with a female at the table. She reportedly asked “so you’re out to eat with a girl?”, grabbed silverware from a nearby table, chased him into the parking lot, and used the knife to stab him in the stomach and head, telling a stranger “I’m finna kill him!”. Sade Harris remains jailed in lieu of a $500,000 bond on the charge of attempted murder, and other related charges. 42-year-old Chad Alan Walkup was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Wednesday on two open assault warrants against his girlfriend, Kathryn Kniery. One alleges he was served breakfast, lunch, and dinner in bed, then assaulted her around 8 p.m. when he overslept for work. Another, which was captured on video, shows him picking up a patio chair she’s sitting in and tossed threw her across the patio, after he was upset he couldn’t find the charger to his computer.

The boyfriend, Andrew Comerford, was also arrested on two outstanding warrants for violating his probation.

Police say 19-year-old Jahzeel Gayle came to see another man, supposedly to pay some money that was owed. While there, he reportedly racked the slide of a handgun and demanded the victim delete a video he had recorded of him, and CashApp him $100 or he would shoot him.
