44-year-old Matthew Weiner, of Sioux City, Iowa, was jailed on a disorderly conduct charge after Nashville Airport Police were advised he was heavily intoxicated aboard a Southwest Airlines aircraft. Airline staff escorted him off the place and he was denied re-boarding for the remainder of the day, at which time he began “flipping off” other passengers, employees, and onlookers while using profanity loudly. He refused directives to leave the secured area of the airport on his own and was taken into custody.

Colorado woman deemed too drunk for the Nashville International Airport — Nicole Benallo

Police say 40-year-old Nicole Benallo was found sitting on the ground near a crosswalk at the Nashville International Airport. Callers reported she had stumbled and fallen onto the ground. As officers approached to assist, they could immediately smell alcohol coming from her and noted her extreme level of intoxication. Due to her inability to care for herself in public, she was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Upset over splitting tips, Joshua Taylor charged with assault of valet co-worker at Nashville Airport

29-year-old Joshua Taylor was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail this week on an outstanding warrant from December, charging him with his role in an assault. Airport Police say there arrived a fight occurring between temp service valet employees with a crowd watching when they arrived. Security footage shows Joshua Taylor, who says he was upset about splitting tips, grabbed a wooden barstool and lifted it above his head as if he were about to strike Ronnie George. George attempted to defend himself and stop the assault, however, Montrail Gleaves, who was also a temp employee, struck George from the back and then kicked him in the head when he fell to the ground.

Intoxicated man arrested after refusing to wear a mask on flight at Nashville Airport — Raymond Scherer

Police say 29-year-old Raymond Scherer was reportedly intoxicated and refusing to comply with flight attendants while boarding a plane at the Nashville Internation Airport. He refused to wear a mask and was creating a disturbance among other passengers. Once on the jetway, he was given every opportunity to calm down and walk away, however, he continued to be disruptive, eventually yelling “And this f****** b**** right here” as one of the gate agents walked by. He was charged with disorderly conduct and transported booking.

Airport Police say k 28-year-old Tommy Hook was “cussing out a kid on the plane” according to gate agents at Nashville International Airport. Hook was initially calm with officers but would sneak in an occasional “asshole” remark to the Southwest manager via a quick yell. He was removed from the plane so it could take off without him. When he realized he would not make the flight to Chicago that day, he started screaming expletives across the airport and became aggressive. He was taken into custody, despite his resistance, and transported to jail.

Carthage man jailed after refusing to wear mask at Nashville Airport for Southwest flight — Carl Wayne Martin

43-year-old Carl Wayne Martin, of Carthage, faces multiple charges after becoming unruly at the Nashville International Airport and refusing to wear a mask, as mandated for his flight on Southwest Airlines. Airport police were called to gate C18 after Martin was denied boarding when he refused to wear a mask for COVID-19 precautions & policy. Flight attendants and police noted that Martin also appeared to be heavily intoxicated during their interactions. He was offered the opportunity to simply leave the area but refused, so was placed into custody. He pulled away from the arresting officers and refused to get inside the police car for transport, requiring multiple officers to place him in the car against his will. Martin is charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. He is free on pre-trial release.

36-year-old tourist Roy Barnett, of Mississippi, was drinking at a bar inside the Nashville International Airport when he became loud and unruly, and his bartender cut him off before he became more intoxicated. 43-year-old Mark Scott Bornemann is charged with DUI after police found him inside his crashed vehicle, which landed on its side after a collision on Briley Parkway on March 16th. Bornemann, who is a licensed pilot, had his license to drive on land revoked years ago, and told officers he had taken Gabapentin before driving, but not for any diagnosed injury or illness.
