19-year-old Matthew Liendo was jailed after causing a disturbance in Lewis Hall at Vanderbilt University just after 2 a.m. Monday. Officers say he was asked to leave the building as he loudly and repeatedly knocked on the third floor door of a female student. He was instructed to leave the building and refused, stating, “or what?” He then continued, “I will not leave the building or stop knocking and shouting unless I am arrested!” He was ultimately granted his wish and taken into custody. A search of his person incident to arrest revealed a gold Spiderman grinder and 0.7 grams of marijuana.

DUI: Michelle Jacobs asleep behind the wheel with a handgun

53-year-old Michelle Jacobs was arrested for driving under the influence. On February 25th, officers approached a car parked on Murfreesboro Pike. Jacobs was asleep in the driver’s seat with suspected marijuana in her lap. Officers woke her, and she was able to tell them where she was. When asked what was in her lap, she looked down and said it was CBD and brushed it onto the floor. When Jacobs exited the vehicle, officers could smell a strong marijuana odor. Jacobs agreed to take the sobriety test, which she performed poorly on but insisted it was because she had braces on both knees, although from the starting position, she was swaying heavily. Officers say Jacobs exhibited multiple physical factors of being impaired. While conducting a search, a bag of suspected marijuana and a handgun were found. Jacobs was taken into custody.

Petty Vanderbilt Police charge George Woods with marijuana possession in parking lot

Sgt Orlando Dixson of the Vanderbilt University Police Department charged 22-year-old George Woods IV with marijuana possession on January 20. Dixson says he approached an illegally parked vehicle in a Vanderbilt University parking lot and noticed the seats were laid all the way back. Two small bags of marijuana were in plain view, and the driver, Woods, admitted it was his marijuana for personal use. Woods was booked on the citation this week.

Lawrence Storey jailed after MNPD surveils Homeless Shelter for crimes

Metro Nashville Police were conducting surveillance at the Nashville Rescue Mission on February 3 when they observed 58-year-old Lawernce Storey place a small bag in his right boot after a hand-to-hand transaction. Detectives approached Storey and searched him, locating a small baggie with 7.5 grams of crack cocaine in his right boot. Nashville Police charge Brendan Stevens for 15 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop

23-year-old Nashville musician Brendan Stevens was charged with possessing 2 grams of marijuana in downtown Nashville after Field Training Officer Trevor Taylor observed him driving a white Chevy Cruz without headlines at 11:18 p.m. on Black Friday. 30-year-old Robert Holmes crashed his vehicle near Dickerson Pike and Grace Street late Friday night and admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day. 48-year-old Jason Raymond Oxford was sitting at a traffic light at a Rivergate intersection and nodded off while parked in the lane. The car behind him was a Goodlettsville Police Officer, who pulled alongside Oxford to check on him after he sat through two light cycles. He observed Oxford slumped over the wheel asleep. Another officer arrived, and they blocked the vehicle from the front and back and then woke Oxford. Police say 60-year-old Lisa Choate crashed her Hyundai Elentra into two parked vehicles before flipping it entirely upside down in the middle of Morrow Road on December 4th. Officer located multiple empty bottles inside her purse and outside the car. During a search, officers also located marijuana inside three plastic bags, a plastic container, and in a metal pipe. Unlicensed Archangel Security Guard Anthony Sloan charged with drugs & gun at BNA

Airport Police made contact with 28-year-old Anthony Sloan, who was manning a controlled gate at an outside construction area of the Nashville International Airport for Archangel Protective Services. During the conversation, Sloan reportedly had a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle he was sitting in. Inside the vehicle, officers found 2.4 ounces (68 grams) of loose marijuana flower in the back seat within a large plastic bag which the officer believes was the type used to package marijuana by the pound. A handgun was located in a bag in the front seat, along with a scale. The Tennessee Department of Commerce says Sloan applied for an unarmed security guard’s license on September 15th, which was denied based on a material misstatement on his application.

19-year-old Gary Henson was involved in a single-vehicle rollover on the interstate late Friday night. First responders report smelling alcohol on Henson as they interacted with him and noted his slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Henson was “belligerent and extremely uncooperative” with police. He admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking “one beer” just before the accident. Inside the vehicle, officers found a half-consumed bottle of Crown Royal and a baggie of marijuana. Field sobriety tests could not be completed due to his hostility. Henson was transported to booking and charged with the marijuana, possession of a firearm that was found in the vehicle, and driving under the influence.

Undercover detectives working the downtown district Friday night approached 31-year-old Tivie Greer and asked to buy some cocaine from him. They agreed on $100, and the transaction occurred at 329 Broadway (Honky Tonk Central). Detectives moved in and took Greer into custody. The white powder he sold police was not actually cocaine or any known drug. Greer was transported to booking and left three small rocks in the patrol car as he exited. These were the actual cocaine and tested positive, along with two additional baggies and some marijuana that was found as he was being processed. Greer is charged with selling counterfeit drugs, possessing actual drugs, and bringing drugs into jail.

Police say 32-year-old Maya Tolliver drove to Vanderbilt Hospital and parked her car on the sidewalk outside of the hospital. She then walked inside, took an elevator to the 5th floor, where she located a vacant patient room, and made herself at home. Nurses located Tolliver and contacted police. Officers say she reeked of alcohol and marijuana and was unaware of her current surroundings. She was verbally aggressive in response to questions. An officer asked if she would like to seek medical treatment via the ED since she was already at Vanderbilt, to which she replied: “you can go seek help!” She was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Police conducted a traffic stop on 18-year-old Elder Eli Milla-Rodriguez just after noon on Monday when he failed to stop fully at an Antioch stop sign. More interestingly to the officer watching was that he stopped at a driveway just before the stop sign, where a female was standing at the end of the driveway, to whom he sold marijuana through the passenger side window. As the traffic stop was conducted, the officer reportedly smelled marijuana, and Elder advised he had a firearm in the vehicle when told a search would be conducted. Officers found 30.4 grams of marijuana, a Glock 22 with a drum-style magazine. Elder told police he routinely buys marijuana and edibles by the ounce and resells them, and carries the firearm for protection.

Bobbie Larkin stored drugs in backpack of 7-year-old son; charged under Haley’s Law

35-year-old Bobbie Larkin told her 7-year-old son to grab his backpack as they exited the vehicle during a traffic stop after police had observed her conducting a drug deal just moments before. Inside the child’s backpack, detectives located 4.6 grams of cocaine, Oxycodone pills, and ammunition for the handgun that was stored in the glove box. During the traffic stop, Larkin also gave police consent to search her home, which was 2 miles away. Detectives froze the home, and she was brought to her residence to sign the consent form. A search of the home resulted in the seizure of nearly one pound of marijuana, digital scales, Xanax pills, 2 grams of cocaine, and multiple firearms. Larkins is being prosecuted under “Haley’s Law,” which could result in a 15-25 year sentence to serve just on the child abuse charge.

Mending Hearts co-founder Charlotte Frierson arrested on a plethora of drug charges with stolen gun

Police conducted a welfare check on a woman who appeared to be unconscious inside a parked, but running, vehicle at a Conference Drive hotel early Monday morning. Inside was 43-year-old Charlotte Ann Frierson with a silver canister between her legs with obvious drugs and paraphernalia within view. As one officer pushed the front of the car to rock it, another knocked on her window, eventually waking her up. A loaded .38 revolver, which was stolen, fell from her pocket as she exited the vehicle, and officers conducted a search. Inside the vehicle, they located a good scale with white residue, five baggies of crack cocaine (82g), 2 baggies of meth (12g), marijuana (12g), Fentanyl (31g), 21 Oxycodone pills, 100 plastic baggies, three crack pipes, a baby bottle converted to a bong, baking soda packaged as a drug (18g), and $885 in cash. Though mostly erased from current versions of its website, a Tennessean article archives that Charlotte ‘Char’ Grant Frierson was a co-founder of the Mending Hearts recovery program in Nashville, with her partner Trina Frierson.
