Tranika Smith caught on video orchestrating murder of her husband — $5K bond

41-year-old Tranika Smith was arrested this weekend on an outstanding warrant from January, charging her with harassment. An arrest warrant details a video that was watched by officers which shows Tranika, who is currently going through a divorce, having a conversation with a friend of her husband, and talking about having her husband killed. She states he has three relatives that she believes would be willing to murder her husband. She also states she believes she would never be charged because no one could ever prove that she orchestrated the murder. Police retained a copy of the video in evidence.

Woman carves “DIE B-*-H” into ex’s car, assault him with hammer, punches female at door — Aleena N McCrary

18-year-old Aleena McCrary was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Thursday after she appeared at the home of her ex-boyfriend, and carved the words “DIE B**CH” into the passenger side of his car. As her ex-boyfriend, Kendrick Alexander, came outside and began to argue with her she grabbed a hammer and chased him around the vehicle, and smashed out a window. She also demanded the female who was at the residence, Latoya Moore, to come outside and fight her, and punched her at the door. McCrary is charged with felony vandalism, assault, and felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is free on a $12,500 bond.

Woman charged with Class B Cocaine felony (8+ years) gets 6 months probation in plea

53-year-old Vicki Melvin now has 36 charges spread among 21 arrests. Her most recent was on Monday, when Metro Police charged her with a Class B Felony for crack cocaine, which would have carried an 8+ year sentence. The DA’s let her plea to a simple possession charge with a 6 month probated sentence, less than 24 hours after her arrest.
