Officers caught up with the Caravan on White Bridge Road and observed it to have heavy front-end damage. When asked about the damage, Bates stated he “may have hit a bump but was not aware of hitting a vehicle.” He admitted to consuming “two beers” at the strip club prior to driving and almost fell over during field sobriety tests.

DUI: Kenneth Strickler crashes twice within minutes, says “I’m drunk, take me to jail!”
72-year-old Kenneth Strickler crashed into a car on Long Hollow Pike in Goodlettsville, and as police were responding, he fled from the scene and drove a short distance, and crashed into another car in a nearby parking lot. As officers made contact with him at his final crash site, Strickler advised he was drunk and needed to go to jail. He was unable to stand for field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.
Nashville ICU Nurse charged with vehicular homicide after drunken hit-and-run — Julia Naldjian
Police say TriStar Centennial Medical Center ICU nurse Julia Naldjian struck and killed a pedestrian on October 27 after leaving the Tin Roof Bar and fled the scene. She was booked on multiple charges overnight, including vehicular homicide. The victim, Amelia Lamping, was visiting with her husband from Ohio. The coupe was crossing the street inside a crosswalk near 22nd Ave North & Charlotte Pike when she was struck and killed by Naldjian, who was driving a luxury Alfa Romeo registered to her husband, Henry Naldjian.
DUI: Chelsea Chamberlain crashed into Belmont Blvd home after drinking at nearby bar
Police say 28-year-old Chelsea Chamberlain crashed her vehicle into the front of a multi-million dollar home on Belmont Blvd, owned by Attorney Robert Eric Thornton, causing significant structural damage. The homeowner says she and a passenger fled the scene after the crash but caught up with them about 100 feet away, which is where officers located everyone involved. Chelsea says she was attempting to take her friend home at the time of the accident and admitted she had been drinking at a bar down the street. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.179% BAC on a breathalyzer.
DUI: Aaron Heschong crashes into wall after leaving Uptown Bar
Metro Nashville Police responded to a car blocking a travel lane on Old Hickory Blvd at 2:22 a.m. Sunday. Officers found the vehicle wrecked and empty when they arrived. The driver, 39-year-old Aaron Heschong, stated after the crash, he had accepted a ride from a stranger, which he accepted and left the scene. He called a towing company and his insurance company and eventually walked back to the scene to sign for the towing of his vehicle, at which time police detained him. He admitted to being at the Uptown Bar at 1:30 a.m. and was driving back home when he hit a retaining wall. He was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and was transported to booking.
Terika Jones charged with DUI in Hotel Preston parking lot
38-year-old Terika Jones drove her Chevy Impala through the parking lot at Hotel Preston at 3:25 a.m. Saturday, running over multiple curbs and crashing into a parked vehicle. After the crash, she exited the car and walked away as if nothing had happened. Hotel staff alerted police, who confirmed the drunken antics from a security video. She was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.
DUI: Jesus admits to drinking “A Fuck Ton” of beers prior to driving
21-year-old Jesus Morales Mejia told police he drank “a f*/k ton” of beers before crashing his vehicle onto its roof on Glenrose Ave Monday afternoon. He initially limped away from the scene, according to witnesses, and police encountered him a short distance away to check on his welfare. He stated he wasn’t sure why he crashed but told officers he drank “a f*-k ton” of beers before driving. When asked to clarify that, he further stated, “20 Modelo beers.” He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.
DUI: David Dybala charged after crashing on Broadway and fleeing the scene
Metro Nashville Police say 39-year-old David Dybala crashed his vehicle into another near 1100 Broadway Wednesday and fled the scene. Officer located him as he was driving away toward the interstate onramp. Officers approached the vehicle, which stopped, and Dybala exited without any prompting. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and had trouble standing. He refused field sobriety tests but was unable to follow simple instructions, such as sitting on a concrete slab.

Metro Nashville Police responded to Rosebank & Porter Road in the early hours of Sunday morning at witnesses say they observed 32-year-old John Magnuson crash into a car and drive away from the initial impact area. Officers located Magnuson a short distance away behind the wheel of his 2019 Toyota Camry, which had heavy front-end damage. He stated he had not consumed any alcohol. Officers described him as very belligerent, and he refused to follow basic instructions. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and was unable to stand on his own. He attempted field sobriety tests, but they had to be stopped for his own safety due to his extreme level of intoxication.

During the early Friday morning road closures for the Music City Grand Prix, 24-year-old Nicholas Sedita drove into a curb and struck a barrier just before 2 a.m. while speeding toward a security officer near 1st Street and Nissan Stadium. The vehicle fled the scene and was soon located near 7th St. & Davidson, smoking and making loud noises. A Metro Nashville Police officer initiated emergency equipment and attempted a traffic stop as the vehicle continued to flee until a supervisor directed for the chase to end. Officers then quietly followed the vehicle from a distance, and it stopped on its own as it entered Shelby Park, and the driver was taken into custody. He eventually blew a 0.221% BAC on a breathalyzer and was charged with DUI & leaving the scene of an accident.
Justice Vance charged after wild DUI & drunken escape from the scene of the wreck
24-year-old Justice Vance faces multiple charges after he swerved into the oncoming lane of travel on Hobson Pike and collided head-on with another vehicle. Instead of stopping, he drove his truck, with only a rim remaining on the right front, until it wouldn’t drive anymore and abandoned it at Murfreesboro Pike and Hamilton Church Pike. Vance then stumbled to a nearby field, where he eventually passed out, leaned up against a fence pole. Multiple bystanders and witnesses would direct officers to the crash site(s), and his final escape route until officers caught up with him as he eventually came to. He denied being in a crash but eventually admitted to drinking, and a half-empty bottle of Crown Royal was found in his truck.
DUI: Police knock on Jordan Rafferty’s door when she simply goes home after a hit-and-run
27-year-old Jordan Rafferty blew a 0.183% BAC on a breathalyzer when police eventually tracked her down and knocked on her door after she crashed her silver Mazda sedan into a flatbed construction vehicle on Murphy Road and fled the scene. Her car sustained “severe front end damage” and was located in the parking lot of her apartment complex with all airbags deployed. She claims someone at the scene told her to drive home and not worry about it. Witnesses at the scene say she fled the scene as quickly as she collided with the truck. Her Instagram story revealed her at a table with drinks at Otto’s Bar just before the hit-and-run. Rafferty admitted to having “a few glasses” of wine.
Kathleen Nannie blows 0.225% BAC after fleeing scene of crash in downtown Nashville
Police found 20-year-old Kathleen Nannie outside of her vehicle at 1301 Division Street, sitting with security staff after she crashed into another vehicle near 17th and Broadway and fled. She told police she had two drinks with vodka prior to driving. She refused to answer any questions without a lawyer being present but did state she would not pass a breath test and then continued to state “I shouldn’t have been drinking and driving”, according to police. She eventually took a breathalyzer and blew a 0.225% BAC, almost triple the legal limit.
Daylon Wall booked on warrants charging him with fleeing scene of accident
Police say 29-year-old Daylon Wall was involved in a motor vehicle crash on South 2nd Street and when an officer directed bother drivers to pull onto Crutcher Street to lessen the impact to traffic flow, Wall accelerated and fled the scene. Warrants for his arrest were issued on January 24th, and he was booked into jail on those warrants Wednesday.
DUI: Man flees after crash, tells police he’s “a lightweight when it comes to drinking”— Michael Simonetti
31-year-old Michael Simonetti, who described himself to police as “a lightweight when it comes to drinking” called to report he had been in a crash just over 90 minutes earlier. Police met him just down the street, where they discovered a puddle and trail of fresh alcohol, which he had poured out the window of his vehicle. He says he left the scene because he believed the other vehicle also left. Inside the car, police found 6 empty Captain Morgan bottles, and a glass with ice and liquor inside, along with other random alcohol cans.
He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI, violation of implied consent law, and leaving the scene of an accident.
Motorist chases down DUI driver who hit him after she drank at Dogwood — Dana Winfrey
24-year-old Dana Winfrey says she had 1 mimosa at Dogwood Nashville earlier in the day before driving her vehicle and crashing into another vehicle on I-65, and fleeing the scene. The victim followed her and blocked her in when she stopped, and waited for police to arrive. Police observed a video of her driving away after the crash, and charged her with DUI, violation of the implied consent law, and leaving the scene of an accident. She is free on pre-trial release.

Metro Police say 31-year-old Brittany Trice rear-ended a car in South Nashville, exited her vehicle, screamed at the other driver calling her a racist, yelled at passing by vehicles, then retrieved her 5-year-old daughter from her car and sat in the middle of traffic on the busy road for a few minutes in some weird act of defiance before fleeing the scene.
