30-year-old Anthony Bates says he and his friend Zachary Dickson were driving home from a strip club in his silver Dodge Caravan when he struck a vehicle at 46th & Charlotte and fled the scene. Officers caught up with the Caravan on White Bridge Road and observed it to have heavy front-end damage. When asked about the damage, Bates stated he “may have hit a bump but was not aware of hitting a vehicle.” He admitted to consuming “two beers” at the strip club prior to driving and almost fell over during field sobriety tests.

Police say TriStar Centennial Medical Center ICU nurse Julia Naldjian struck and killed a pedestrian on October 27 after leaving the Tin Roof Bar and fled the scene. Metro Nashville Police responded to a car blocking a travel lane on Old Hickory Blvd at 2:22 a.m. Sunday. Officers found the vehicle wrecked and empty when they arrived. The driver, 39-year-old Aaron Heschong, stated after the crash, he had accepted a ride from a stranger, which he accepted and left the scene. He called a towing company and his insurance company and eventually walked back to the scene to sign for the towing of his vehicle, at which time police detained him. He admitted to being at the Uptown Bar at 1:30 a.m. and was driving back home when he hit a retaining wall. He was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and was transported to booking.

24-year-old Justice Vance faces multiple charges after he swerved into the oncoming lane of travel on Hobson Pike and collided head-on with another vehicle. Her car sustained “severe front end damage” and was located in the parking lot of her apartment complex with all airbags deployed. DUI: Man flees after crash, tells police he’s “a lightweight when it comes to drinking”— Michael Simonetti

31-year-old Michael Simonetti, who described himself to police as “a lightweight when it comes to drinking” called to report he had been in a crash just over 90 minutes earlier. Police met him just down the street, where they discovered a puddle and trail of fresh alcohol, which he had poured out the window of his vehicle. He says he left the scene because he believed the other vehicle also left. Inside the car, police found 6 empty Captain Morgan bottles, and a glass with ice and liquor inside, along with other random alcohol cans.

He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI, violation of implied consent law, and leaving the scene of an accident.
