Waugh looked at officers and asked them to park the car for her. She reportedly smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on her feet, with slurred speech. DUI: Kierra Dies admits she’s drunk & flips off officer during arrest

19-year-old Kierra Dies flipped off officers before her arrest. Kierra was involved in a collision at exit 204A, where luckily, no one was injured. When the officer arrived, Dies stated, “I’m drunk, and I rear-ended him” She admits to having one beer. The empty beer can was located on the floor of the passenger’s side. Dies smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot watery eyes and slurred speech. She was placed under arrest after performing poorly on all field sobriety tests, but not before flipping off the officer, yelling obscenities, and cursing him out without ever confirming a yes or no to consent to submit a blood sample for testing.

When officers gave the breathalyzer tube to 21-year-old Irving Brown at the police station on February 12, he nearly fell over while sitting at the table. A second attempt resulted in his head hitting the table as he was unable to sit up due to his level of intoxication. How did we get here? Brown was initially pulled over for running a red light near the Wedgewood / 65 S onramp. He was slow to stop, and once he did, officers located an empty bottle of el Jimador Tequila at his feet. Anthony Bates had ‘2 beers at a strip club’ before DUI hit-and-run crash

30-year-old Anthony Bates says he and his friend Zachary Dickson were driving home from a strip club in his silver Dodge Caravan when he struck a vehicle at 46th & Charlotte and fled the scene. Officers caught up with the Caravan on White Bridge Road and observed it to have heavy front-end damage. When asked about the damage, Bates stated he “may have hit a bump but was not aware of hitting a vehicle.” He admitted to consuming “two beers” at the strip club prior to driving and almost fell over during field sobriety tests.

DUI: Maria Takele parks in the middle of the roadway downtown so no one will hit her car

Metro Nashville Police came upon a blue Hyundai Accent parked in the middle of a lane of travel at 5th & Broadway in the early hours of Saturday morning. As they approached the vehicle, 24-year-old Maria Takele also approached the car and stated she parked in the middle of the road because someone had hit her car earlier in a parking garage. Takele appeared to be extremely intoxicated and admitted she had been drinking prior to moving her car to the roadway. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.

DUI Crash: Brayden Thrasher “just trying to get home” after night at Play Dance Bar

24-year-old Jeffrey Brayden Thrasher crashed his black Jeep Cherokee into a rock retaining wall on Gallatin Pike just before 5 a.m. Saturday and drove for a short distance before his vehicle became disabled in the roadway. Officers arrived to find damage to the front end of his vehicle, as well as a destroyed front right tire, leaving only the rim. Thrasher stated he had consumed alcohol throughout the night at Play Dance Bar on Church Street in Nashville, and he was “just trying to get home.” A search incident to arrest also revealed a metal flask containing alcohol.

Sarah Worden & Zackary Harvey charged in DUI crash in East Nashville

Police say 29-year-old Zackary Harvey was the at-fault driver in a three-vehicle collision in East Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning. Harvey claimed he was not the driver, but everyone else at the scene identified him as the driver, including two of his passengers, Cody Price and Dominick Jamison. Harvey, who reeked of alcohol, refused all testing and just repeated the word “lawyer” throughout the interaction. A search warrant was granted for his blood due to another party being injured. Once at the hospital, he struggled with officers and staff, not allowing them to draw his blood. He was additionally charged with resisting due to not complying with the order.

31-year-old Sarah Worden was the registered owner of the vehicle and was also a passenger. Police say she was also intoxicated, and everyone in the vehicle stated they had just come from a bar. Due to her allowing him to drive while knowing he was intoxicated, she was charged with DUI per-se.

Cheer Coach Greg Shannon charged with late-night DUI in downtown Nashville

Police say 41-year-old Cheer Coach Gregory Shannon blew through a stop sign at 4th & Harrison in downtown Nashville late Friday night. Officers conducted a traffic stop and report that Shannon smelled of alcohol. Shannon claimed the officer was just smelling a Halls cough drop, and not alcohol, because he hadn’t consumed any. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and during them, one of his female friends approached the scene. When questioned, the woman stated that Shannon had indeed been drinking. He then admitted to drinking “a beer” before driving. Shannon was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Shondarrius Cook charged with DUI after drinking in downtown Nashville

30-year-old Shondarrius Cook says he drank Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, and had a shot of tequila in downtown Nashville late Saturday night before as he blew through an intersection, nearly hitting a Metro Nashville Police patrol car that was at the intersection. As he slammed on his brakes, Cook was rear-ended by another vehicle. Cook attempted to drive away from the scene until the officer activated his siren. The vehicle reportedly reeked of marijuana, and Cook was confused about the interaction with police and had trouble forming complete and coherent phrases. He did advise he was coming from downtown, and officers noted a red stamp from a club was on his hand. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and when he learned he was going to be taken into custody, he attempted to run, and it took additional officers to contain him. Officers also located a small amount of marijuana (3.8 grams) in the vehicle.

Police say 24-year-old Charles Young of Oklahoma was either asleep or unconscious when they located him crashed out in a woodline along I-65 N at mile marker 75 in the early hours of Sunday morning. He reportedly reeked of alcohol as they assisted him from the driver’s seat of the white SUV. When asked where he was going, he stated, “to Franklin.” When asked where he was coming from, he stated, “8000 Mabel”, which is a street in Franklin. When asked if he had any alcohol to drink, he stated, “8000 Mabel.” When asked how many drinks he had tonight, he finally requested a lawyer, which was also his response when asked to conduct field sobriety tests and take a breathalyzer or blood test.

Tourist Todd Miller pooped in hotel elevator, scooted dirty butt across floor like a dog

Metro Nashville Police responded to the Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville Hotel at 2 p.m. Monday, where 37-year-old tourist Todd Miller was due to check out as his stay had ended. Instead, he was reportedly extremely intoxicated and had just defecated in an elevator and was wandering the floors of the hotel while refusing to leave, including “scooting his poop-covered butt cheeks across the floor like a dog,” according to a witness account of the incident. As officers arrived, the staff pointed to a black Dodge Ram, which he had just gotten into and started the ignition, and that’s where police found the feces-covered man. Miller stated he had just finished a box of wine and asked for a lawyer. He was charged with DUI and transported to booking.

31-year-old Sony Music recording artist Ashton Latadre Parson was charged with a DUI in January after crashing into a dumpster behind Checkers in East Nashville. A month later, his attorney, Nick McGregor, got his charges reduced to reckless endangerment, and Parson, who goes by the stage name of ‘Parson James’, received a suspended and probated sentence of 11 months and 29 days. Overnight, Parson was arrested for yet another DUI after he crashed at 17th & Edgehill. He admitted to consuming two glasses of wine and refused a blood test because of taking “medicinal things,” which he later clarified was marijuana. A warrant was obtained for his blood, and a draw was completed before he was transported to booking.

DUI: Justin Record flips car after leaving bar; police find white powdery substance

After 34-year-old Justin William Record crashed his vehicle on Charlotte Pike at 2 a.m. Wednesday, and overturned his car into a small group of trees, he told police he had been rear-ended by another car that caused him to flip his vehicle. His girlfriend, who was traveling in a vehicle behind him, states Justing “just went off the road.” He admitted to consuming two shots and two to three beers at Copa Cabana Bar & Grill, a bar directly across the street, just before driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and, once at booking, was found to have two small baggies with traces amounts of a white powdery substance. Deputies also located a twenty dollar bill with the same white powdery substance.

Predators executive Jason Oxford found slumped over wheel after “two beers” at hockey game

48-year-old Jason Raymond Oxford was sitting at a traffic light at a Rivergate intersection and nodded off while parked in the lane. The car behind him was a Goodlettsville Police Officer, who pulled alongside Oxford to check on him after he sat through two light cycles. He observed Oxford slumped over the wheel asleep. Another officer arrived, and they blocked the vehicle from the front and back and then woke Oxford. He stated he had “two beers” at the Nashville Predators Hockey game, and officers confirmed he reeked of alcohol. On the floorboard, officers also located a pill bottle with marijuana inside. Oxford is the Director of Corporate Development for the Nashville Predators.
