21-year-old Alliyah Wright told police she only had “a mixed drink” at a Bell Road bar several hours prior to being stopped for weaving while driving just after 1 a.m. on January 1st on Smith Springs Road. Officers say they initiated a traffic stop after she crossed into the center lane multiple times and went from fast to slow speeds. She was reportedly confused and reeked of alcohol. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Wright was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

DUI: Justin Record flips car after leaving bar; police find white powdery substance

After 34-year-old Justin William Record crashed his vehicle on Charlotte Pike at 2 a.m. Wednesday, and overturned his car into a small group of trees, he told police he had been rear-ended by another car that caused him to flip his vehicle. His girlfriend, who was traveling in a vehicle behind him, states Justing “just went off the road.” He admitted to consuming two shots and two to three beers at Copa Cabana Bar & Grill, a bar directly across the street, just before driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and, once at booking, was found to have two small baggies with traces amounts of a white powdery substance. Deputies also located a twenty dollar bill with the same white powdery substance.

DUI: Andrew Scott drives home speeding & dragging front bumper, totally oblivious

28-year-old Andrew Scott faces a DUI charge after police observed him driving just before 4 a.m. Sunday while dragging his front bumper along with him on the ground at 65 mph in a 40 mph zone on White Bridge Pike. A subsequent traffic stop revealed him to be the driver of the vehicle, and he told officers he was returning from a friend’s house and CookOut and eventually admitted to drinking both beer and liquor prior to driving. He seemed surprised there was damage to the front end of his vehicle, despite the horrendous noise it was making on the roadway before the stop, but eventually stated he might have run over a curb. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.

David White joked and laughed throughout DUI arrest after West Nashville crash, per police

25-year-old David White was involved in a crash on Old Charlotte Pike late Saturday night and called his brother for assistance. His brother then contacted Metro Nashville Police, who responded to the scene and located White, who appeared to be intoxicated with bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Officers say White laughed and joked throughout the entire interaction and admitted to consuming “two alcoholic beverages” hours before the crash. Metro Nashville Police say 41-year-old Robin Underwood collided with another vehicle near Old Hickory and Edmonson Pike. As officers approached Underwood in the driver’s seat of her vehicle, they reportedly smelled alcohol and she admitted to drinking “two beers” before driving. She stated she was having chest pain so was transported to the hospital, where she was cleared. Police say 28-year-old Kaedee Miller Hembree struck one vehicle on Interstate 40 on Wednesday before coming to a stop in a lane of traffic just before 7 p.m. Responding TDOT crews report she was awake and alert and then suddenly lost consciousness while they were present. Nashville Fire responded and administered Narcan and eventually revived Miller, who admitted to taking her prescribed Seroquel along with an unprescribed Percocet shortly before driving. She was charged with DUI 2nd (she was convicted of a DUI in March in Murfreesboro) and driving on a revoked license.

Musician Jered Ames charged with DUI after leaving West Nashville dive bar Betty’s Grill

Metro Police say 38-year-old Jerry Bachner, better known as musician ‘Jered Ames’ was involved in an accident with another vehicle near 51st Ave N & Indiana Ave in the early hours of Saturday morning. While describing how the accident occurred to police, they reported smelling alcohol coming from Bachner, along with his slurred speech during the conversation. He admitted to consuming “4-5” alcoholic drinks at the local dive bar, Betty’s Grill, just a couple of blocks away from the crash site. Bachner performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking, where he was charged with DUI.

Brittany Cline charged with DUI in Belle Meade — White Claws & Modello Tallboy open in vehicle

30-year-old Brittany Nicole Cline was stopped by Belle Meade Police just after 1 a.m. Friday due to an expired tag on her vehicle. As Officer Haley Doty spoke with Cline during the traffic stop, she could smell alcohol coming from Cline’s breath and noticed a Modelo tallboy in the center cup holder and 4 empty White Claw cans along with a variety pack of unopened cans. Mitchell Webb charged with DUI after crashing into traffic cones when leaving Broadway

Just after 2 a.m. Wednesday, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to Rosa L. Parks Blvd & Church St where a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Mitchell Webb was reportedly crashing into traffic cones. Officers arrived to find Webb out of his vehicle and with the construction crew. He stated he was coming from Broadway. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests that he completed, as they were stopped due to his level of intoxication. Metro Nashville Police responded to Rosebank & Porter Road in the early hours of Sunday morning at witnesses say they observed 32-year-old John Magnuson crash into a car and drive away from the initial impact area. Officers located Magnuson a short distance away behind the wheel of his 2019 Toyota Camry, which had heavy front-end damage. He stated he had not consumed any alcohol. Officers described him as very belligerent, and he refused to follow basic instructions. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and was unable to stand on his own. He attempted field sobriety tests, but they had to be stopped for his own safety due to his extreme level of intoxication.

42-year-old Lucas Levingston fled from police after tearing through a blocked section of Donelson Pike this week at a high rate of speed. Officers say Levingston was driving a green Fiat 500 and ignored a line of police cars with flashing lights and emergency equipment activated while protecting an active accident scene. He locked all four wheels and slid to a stop just feet from an Airport Police patrol unit. He then drove away from the scene, and the officers initially lost him. A short time later, Levingston drove back to the same intersection and was stopped by police. He refused to answer any questions and declined all tests. Officers say he reeked of alcohol, was uneasy on his feet, and was obviously intoxicated. He is charged with DUI, evading arrest in a motor vehicle, and violation of the implied consent law.

Nashville Police say 27-year-old Micaela Kirkwood was swerving wildly in and out of lanes on Rosa Parks Blvd and driving up the center median early Monday morning. First responders located 21-year-old Matthew Zito asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at the intersection of Brownlee Drive and Brook Hollow Road just after 1 a.m. Sunday. As firefighters approached the vehicle, Zito briefly woke up and drove further down the road, where he fell back asleep. Nashville Fire was able to place blocks in front of his tires so he couldn’t move any further and then removed him from the vehicle. Officers arrived as he was being escorted to the ambulance. Police responded to a crash with injuries just after 5 a.m. Thursday on Granada Ave and made contact with the driver, 28-year-old Jacob Romero. Romero stated that he intentionally drove off the roadway to meet someone to buy marijuana. He also admitted to drinking five beers in the hours prior to driving. Justice Vance charged after wild DUI & drunken escape from the scene of the wreck

24-year-old Justice Vance faces multiple charges after he swerved into the oncoming lane of travel on Hobson Pike and collided head-on with another vehicle. Instead of stopping, he drove his truck, with only a rim remaining on the right front, until it wouldn’t drive anymore and abandoned it at Murfreesboro Pike and Hamilton Church Pike. Vance then stumbled to a nearby field, where he eventually passed out, leaned up against a fence pole. Multiple bystanders and witnesses would direct officers to the crash site(s), and his final escape route until officers caught up with him as he eventually came to. He denied being in a crash but eventually admitted to drinking, and a half-empty bottle of Crown Royal was found in his truck.

Metro Nashville Police received a call Saturday evening that two people riding on a red “moped” had fallen over due to drunkenness. As officers arrived at the intersection of N 14th St & Forrest Ave, 37-year-old Thomas Willey, in very slurred speech, identified himself as the driver of the motorized scooter. A witness says Willey attempted to flee before offices arrived, but was unable to successfully drive it away. Police note he was obviously intoxicated and admitted to drinking “2 margaritas” at a nearby bar earlier in the evening. He was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

John Freeman claims parked unoccupied car pulled out in front of him, causing crash on Acklen Ave

45-year-old John Freeman Jr. was involved in an automobile crash on Acklen Ave on June 12th and when officers responded they smelled alcohol coming from and noticed several signs of intoxication, so they requested he perform field sobriety tests. Freeman performed poorly on those tasks and asked the officer which language he’d like to hear while performing the tests. Freeman claims he was just driving when a car pulled out in front of him, however, multiple witnesses confirmed all other vehicles were parked in front of a home when he crashed into them. Freeman had two bottles of vodka on him at the time of his arrest.

29-year-old Nicholas Conrad crashed his vehicle on Ellington Parkway early Wednesday morning and then began walking down the roadway away from the scene. Officers located him as they were responding to the call, near Broadmoor Drive & Ellington Parkway. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and was very unsteady on his feed. In his possession, while walking, were not only the keys to his Nissan Versa, but he also brought the owner’s manual along for the walk. Though Conrad refused all field sobriety testing, he admitted he “made a mistake” and asked officers if he could just “sleep it off?”

Nashville Fire Department medics had to force entry into the vehicle of 23-year-old Gabriela Valencia after she drove off the road and was found passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle near the Hardee’s on Nolensville Road. Police arrived soon after she had become responsive and observed her to be heavily intoxicated. Valencia stated she was coming from Del Monte’s where she had been drinking and admitted that she knew she had too much to drink prior to driving.
