Nykeira Collier pushes into brother’s residence, demands to sell his iPad as she needs money

Torrion Collier says his 21-year-old estranged sister, Nykeira Collier, came to his residence late at night and knocked on the door. As he opened it and realized who it was, he attempted to close the door, however, she placed her foot in the doorway. She then pushed through the door while holding an umbrella, using it in a striking motion as she entered. She ran into his bedroom, stating she needed to sell his iPad because she needed money. She is charged with aggravated burglary.

David Bennett charged with threatening grandson with baseball bat over rent money

73-year-old David Bennett was waiting with a baseball bat in his hand for his grandson, Jonathan Bennett, to return to their Antioch home on March 1st. When the victim arrived home, David threatened him with bodily harm using the baseball bat if he didn’t pay rent. David’s wife was a witness and corroborated the events to police when they arrived.

Teen says father assaulted him over cookies — Jose Serrano, arrested

42-year-old Jose Serrano is charged with the assault of his 16-year-old son. The son called 911 to report his father grabbed him by the neck, strangling, injuring, and leaving marks on him, after his father became upset the child was eating cookies that were not his. Police documented multiple scratches and red marks on both sides of the child’s neck. The father says his son is disrespectful and has not been going to school, and he only fought back in self-defense, claiming his child tried to punch him.

Man charged in rape of stepdaughter at Nashville park — James Denson jailed on $150K bond

41-year-old James Denson is jailed in lieu of a $150,000 bond after being booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday, charged with the rape of a child. Officers responded to a middle school in Nashville after a 12-year-old disclosed to an investigator with the Department of Children’s Services she had been raped by her step-father at a local park after driving her there on his motorcycle, just days before his birthday earlier this month. Denson, who associates himself with several local ‘motorcycle/street bike clubs’ on his social media accounts, admitted to detectives that he drove her to a local Park, but requested a lawyer before answering any further questions. He remains jailed in restricted housing at DCSO.

Mother has son arrested when he breaks into her home to eat a meal in her kitchen — Tyrell Stokes

Felicia Stokes called Metro Nashville Police after coming home from work to find her 32-year-old son, Tyrell Stokes, sitting in her kitchen eating a plate of food. She says her security camera captured him using a can opener to break into the back door of the apartment earlier in the day. Stokes says he only came inside because he had nowhere else to go. New MNPD Trainee, Officer Andre Williams, charged Stokes with aggravated criminal trespass and transported him to booking. He remains jailed in lieu of a $500 bond. This was his first arrest in Metro Nashville.

Handyman charged with serious assault & strangulation of his stepdaughter: Michael Ignatz

Police found the juvenile victim with a bruised face, neck, and collar bone, and a broken front tooth. She disclosed her stepfather, 51-year-old Michael Ignatz, put her in a chokehold, pulled her into a bedroom, and repeatedly punched her in the face. The incident happened in September of 2020, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He successfully avoided police until this week, when he was booked on the outstanding felony warrant.

Father admits to raping 14-year-old daughter, texts her: “will you please keep this between us?”

A family traveled from Alabama to Nashville so a young daughter could undergo brain surgery at Vanderbilt Friday. Today, the father, 32-year-old Travis Wade McGraw, is jailed in lieu of a $275,000 bond after admitting to raping his other daughter in the hotel room where the family was staying, while her grandfather slept in the other bed just feet away. While she hid in the bathroom and Snapchat messaged a friend in Alabama, who called 911 for her, he threatened to shoot her if she didn’t open the door. Police recovered texts where he asked her to “keep this between us”, a handgun, and her clothing with his fluids on them.
