40-year-old Zachary Owen told police he was attempting to enter Opry Mills Mall at 1:30 a.m. on February 6 to “hang out inside” and that he’s allowed on the property because “all his family are country singers.” Mall Security had caught him inside the mall after-hours the previous day and escorted him off the property. Owen was transported to booking and charged with criminal trespass.

Tommy McDonald charged with strangling girlfriend; dragging her by hair
When police arrived at an Elm Hill Pike apartment late Saturday night, they discovered Chenike Reid gathering her things from the ground, which were scattered outside of the apartment. She explained that her boyfriend, 30-year-old Tommy McDonald, had punched her in the forehead when she attempted to take a book that Tommy had bought for her as she was moving out. When she grabbed the book a second time, she says he grabbed her by her hair and then her throat until she had problems breathing. He then dragged her out of their apartment. Officers documented injuries to the victim’s forehead and throat. She was transported to the hospital, and Tommy was taken into custody.
Palwan Sadeq & Mardan Sadeq charged after vending from hot dog stand on private property downtown
28-year-old Palwan Sadeq & 30-year-old Mardan Sadeq were vending from their hot dog cart on November 27th at the Hilton on 4th Ave in downtown Nashville when they were approached by Metro Nashville Police, who say they were warned the night before that this was private property and vending wasn’t allowed in this area. Both were issued citations for criminal trespass and were booked on the charges this week.
Nashville musician ‘QUATTY’ (Nahshon Easley) charged with theft of liquor at his workplace
Thomas Ruggio told police one of his employees, 18-year-old Nahshon Easley (AKA ‘QUATTY’), came into the rear entrance of his Nashville Wine & Spirits Store and left with a half-point of New Amsterdamn liquor which he didn’t pay for, and was too young to buy. Easley was issued a citation for theft of merchandise and was booked on the citation this week.
Corey Strickland charged after bashing the bishop in a stairwell at his workplace
Metro Nashville Police responded to HCA Healthcare in the North Gulch after security personnel observed 26-year-old HCA HealthTrust employee Corey Strickland pleasuring himself in a stairwell of the office building. Officers say he had his phone in one hand and his ‘pudding producer’ in the other while completing a non-work-related task in a particular motion. When confronted, Strickland admitted to the adventure and was issued a state citation for indecent exposure. He was booked on that citation this week and will appear in court in November.
Sammie Deas charged after whipping boyfriend with phone charger; punching him in face
19-year-old Sammie Deas is charged with the domestic assault of his boyfriend, Jantoine Polk, who witnesses say he whipped with a phone charger and punched in the face. Officers arrived at the Antioch apartment Thursday, where Polk says the argument began as he was letting a friend use Sammie’s phone charger. This upset Sammie, who whipped the victim twice with the cord of the phone charger, leaving multiple injuries to his chest. Sammie then came from behind to strangle him until he was unable to breathe. He then reportedly punched Polk in the face 4-5 times as he attempted to escape the apartment.
DUI: Man flees after crash, tells police he’s “a lightweight when it comes to drinking”— Michael Simonetti
31-year-old Michael Simonetti, who described himself to police as “a lightweight when it comes to drinking” called to report he had been in a crash just over 90 minutes earlier. Police met him just down the street, where they discovered a puddle and trail of fresh alcohol, which he had poured out the window of his vehicle. He says he left the scene because he believed the other vehicle also left. Inside the car, police found 6 empty Captain Morgan bottles, and a glass with ice and liquor inside, along with other random alcohol cans.
He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI, violation of implied consent law, and leaving the scene of an accident.
