41-year-old James ‘Chip’ Selewski self-booked for a citation this week, charging him with a DUI from late July. Police say he was driving home from Mother’s Ruin just after 9 p.m. after having “5 to 6 bourbon-based drinks” with dinner. He proceeded to roll his vehicle in a crash at 6th & Monroe. First responders say he reeked of alcohol and was “violently vomiting” as they pulled him from the vehicle. He was transported to Vanderbilt, and due to being admitted for medical treatment, he was issued a citation in lieu of arrest.

DUI: Logan Adams snorts Heroin after check-in with probation officer; crashes car

Concerned citizens pulled 24-year-old Logan Adams out of his Hyundai Sonata via the back driver’s side window after he crashed on I-40 on July 19th just after 7 p.m. They performed CPR on Adams until officers arrived to administer two 4 mg doses of Narcan, at which time he immediately regained consciousness. He was transported to the hospital, and while there, Logan Adams told police he had driven to Cheatham County to meet with his probation officer. After leaving there, he drove to a friend’s house in Nashville, where he snorted Heroin just fifteen minutes before driving again. The hospital kept him overnight for observation, so he was issued a state citation for DUI, which he was booked on this week.

Metro Nashville Police responded to a traffic accident on August 14th with damage but no injuries. Metro Nashville Police were flagged down near West End and Cherokee Ave just after 11 p.m. Monday in response to a man asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle at a stop sign. The man, identified as 46-year-old William Haywood Routon, had just woken up and sped away at a high rate of speed, according to the woman who was flagging them down. Officers caught up with Routon as he drove toward his family’s $3 million estate on Ebenway Drive. Nashville Police say 27-year-old Micaela Kirkwood was swerving wildly in and out of lanes on Rosa Parks Blvd and driving up the center median early Monday morning. As officers conducted a traffic stop, the smell of a “sweet alcohol” was coming from Kirkwood and her vehicle. Musician Trey Calloway charged with DUI in Nashville; asks police to stop embarrassing him

Metro Nashville Police & fire responded to I-40 East near White Bridge Pike in the early hours of Monday morning and pulled 30-year-old Nashville Musician Franklin “Trey” Calloway out of his Ford F-150, which he crashed. Multiple Nashville Firefighters say Calloway told them he had been drinking, and police say he reeked of alcohol upon contact. As he tried to stand on his own, officers had to catch him several times as he attempted to topple over. He motioned he “wasn’t sure” when asked how much alcohol he had consumed, and after the first two field sobriety tests, Calloway stated, “I know I’ve failed the tests already; why are you embarrassing me?” and refused all other tests.

Jacob Brewster catches DUI after he “got in his feelings” and slept in his running car

19-year-old Jacob Brewster says he was inside a residence at the Hillmeade Apartments late Friday night with some friends after bringing them home and drinking some tequila with them. He says he “got in his feelings” about a situation and decided to leave. He was too intoxicated to drive home and decided to sleep in his vehicle in the parking lot. Before sleeping, he continued to drink from a bottle of vodka in the car.

A short time later, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Metro Nashville Police responded to an unrelated shots-fired call at the complex and came across Brewster in the parking lot, who was now slumped over the driver’s seat with the car running and the door wide open. Brewster was unresponsive for several minutes with vomit both inside and outside the car and all over himself. Officers were able to turn off the car, and Brewster eventually woke up and tried to put the car in gear and leave. He eventually blew a 0.123% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Danny Mosier charged with DUI after West End crash

Police say 27-year-old Daniel Mosier was involved in a traffic accident at West End & 17th Ave N. and as officers responded to the scene, a witness informed them that Mosier had just admitted stated he had been drinking and just wanted to pay the other party for damages and be on his way. Officers say Mosier made the patrol car reek of alcohol once he was inside and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Mosier claimed it had been over five hours since he had a couple of beers.

DUI: Nicholas Sedita flees from cops along Grand Prix road closures, eventually arrested in Shelby Park

During the early Friday morning road closures for the Music City Grand Prix, 24-year-old Nicholas Sedita drove into a curb and struck a barrier just before 2 a.m. while speeding toward a security officer near 1st Street and Nissan Stadium. The vehicle fled the scene and was soon located near 7th St. & Davidson, smoking and making loud noises. A Metro Nashville Police officer initiated emergency equipment and attempted a traffic stop as the vehicle continued to flee until a supervisor directed for the chase to end. Officers then quietly followed the vehicle from a distance, and it stopped on its own as it entered Shelby Park, and the driver was taken into custody. He eventually blew a 0.221% BAC on a breathalyzer and was charged with DUI & leaving the scene of an accident.

50-year-old Lisa Nicole Miethe was parked outside of Taqueria del Sol on 12th Ave. South late Thursday night when officers responded to a welfare check at the location. Responding officers found Miethe in the driver’s seat of a 2013 Mazda with the vehicle running. She reeked of alcohol and admitted to having 3 margaritas prior to getting in the vehicle. First responders located 21-year-old Matthew Zito asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at the intersection of Brownlee Drive and Brook Hollow Road just after 1 a.m. Sunday. As firefighters approached the vehicle, Zito briefly woke up and drove further down the road, where he fell back asleep. Nashville Fire was able to place blocks in front of his tires so he couldn’t move any further and then removed him from the vehicle. Officers arrived as he was being escorted to the ambulance. Zito stated he had “3 or 4 drafts” at a bar on 21st Ave, where he was drinking with his co-workers prior to driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.

30-year-old Robert Colton Lewis was backing into the street just after midnight Friday night to perform a three-point-turn when he collided with Nashville Fire Department Engine 29. DUI: Dean White says he drink two bottles of Pinot Grigio prior to crash

47-year-old Dean White told off Metro Nashville Police he drank “two bottles of Pinot Grigio” in the early morning hours prior to crashing his car into another vehicle at 11:17 a.m. Saturday. The accident occurred near the Church Street exit of I-40, just blocks from his residence in the 1800 block of Church Street. He further disclosed he had not consumed any food since 7 p.m. Friday. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and had inconsistencies about where he was coming from and what occurred. White refused field sobriety testing, but was transported to Metro General for a blood draw as the other party sustained injuries from the accident.

Police say 28-year-old Luke Matthew Skeldon was speeding as he drove past officers on Nolensville Pike at 3:08 a.m. Saturday, when he was paced at 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. When a traffic stop was initiated, he was slow to pull into a parking lot and appeared extremely intoxicated during the interaction. Skeldon stated he was leaving the Flamingo Cocktail Club, where he had three mixed drinks before driving. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Skeldon was given a breathalyzer and taken into custody. The warrant details a 0.70 BAC, which MNPD confirmed was a typo, but they did not provide the actual BAC prior to publication.

Nashville Musician Rick Patoray charged with DUI after night of drinking at The Cobra in East Nashville

39-year-old Rick Patoray told police he drank five beers at Cobra, along with taking prescribed medication, before being pulled over for a traffic stop when he made an extremely wide right turn and went into the center lane, and then took nearly a half-mile to stop with blue lights activated behind him the entire time. Officers say he smelled of alcohol and was too inebriated even to attempt field sobriety tests. When asked to submit to a chemical or breath test, he would only state that he wanted a lawyer. Police responded to a crash with injuries just after 5 a.m. Thursday on Granada Ave and made contact with the driver, 28-year-old Jacob Romero. Romero’s vehicle had driven over a guard rail and collided with a chain-link fence at a business, where it eventually came to rest into a tree. Romero stated that he intentionally drove off the roadway to meet someone to buy marijuana. He also admitted to drinking five beers in the hours prior to driving. Justice Vance charged after wild DUI & drunken escape from the scene of the wreck

24-year-old Justice Vance faces multiple charges after he swerved into the oncoming lane of travel on Hobson Pike and collided head-on with another vehicle. Instead of stopping, he drove his truck, with only a rim remaining on the right front, until it wouldn’t drive anymore and abandoned it at Murfreesboro Pike and Hamilton Church Pike. Vance then stumbled to a nearby field, where he eventually passed out, leaned up against a fence pole. Multiple bystanders and witnesses would direct officers to the crash site(s), and his final escape route until officers caught up with him as he eventually came to. He denied being in a crash but eventually admitted to drinking, and a half-empty bottle of Crown Royal was found in his truck.
