Sarah Worden & Zackary Harvey charged in DUI crash in East Nashville

Police say 29-year-old Zackary Harvey was the at-fault driver in a three-vehicle collision in East Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning. Harvey claimed he was not the driver, but everyone else at the scene identified him as the driver, including two of his passengers, Cody Price and Dominick Jamison. Harvey, who reeked of alcohol, refused all testing and just repeated the word “lawyer” throughout the interaction. A search warrant was granted for his blood due to another party being injured. Once at the hospital, he struggled with officers and staff, not allowing them to draw his blood. He was additionally charged with resisting due to not complying with the order.

31-year-old Sarah Worden was the registered owner of the vehicle and was also a passenger. Police say she was also intoxicated, and everyone in the vehicle stated they had just come from a bar. Due to her allowing him to drive while knowing he was intoxicated, she was charged with DUI per-se.

29-year-old Genesa Hill crashed her vehicle on Briley Parkway in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police and Nashville Fire medics responded to the scene, and Hill refused all medical assistance. Cheer Coach Greg Shannon charged with late-night DUI in downtown Nashville

Police say 41-year-old Cheer Coach Gregory Shannon blew through a stop sign at 4th & Harrison in downtown Nashville late Friday night. Officers conducted a traffic stop and report that Shannon smelled of alcohol. Shannon claimed the officer was just smelling a Halls cough drop, and not alcohol, because he hadn’t consumed any. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and during them, one of his female friends approached the scene. When questioned, the woman stated that Shannon had indeed been drinking. He then admitted to drinking “a beer” before driving. Shannon was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

22-year-old Nashville Musician Fiona Maura Chalmers crashed her white Nissan Rogue into a white pickup truck as she attempted to back out of a parking spot in the rear parking lot of the Holiday End on West End just after 10 p.m. Friday. Responding officers reported that Chalmers reeked of alcohol, and she admitted to consuming wine in the hour prior to getting in her vehicle. Police say 24-year-old Charles Young of Oklahoma was either asleep or unconscious when they located him crashed out in a woodline along I-65 N at mile marker 75 in the early hours of Sunday morning. He reportedly reeked of alcohol as they assisted him from the driver’s seat of the white SUV. When asked where he was going, he stated, “to Franklin.” When asked where he was coming from, he stated, “8000 Mabel”, which is a street in Franklin. When asked if he had any alcohol to drink, he stated, “8000 Mabel.” When asked how many drinks he had tonight, he finally requested a lawyer, which was also his response when asked to conduct field sobriety tests and take a breathalyzer or blood test.

Renauld Clayton charged in downtown DUI, argues he passed field sobriety tests

Police say 35-year-old Renauld Clayton made an illegal u-turn at 11th & Broadway, just one block away from his home, just after 11 p.m. Wednesday. Officers conducted a traffic stop and reported immediately smelling alcohol as they approached the vehicle. He claimed not to have consumed any alcohol, but his female passenger claimed the smell was coming from her. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, despite arguing that he passed them all. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI. In 2020, Clayton was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison for his student loan fraud scheme at Tennessee State University, where he was an employee.

21-year-old Pamela Truter was in a crash on December 16, and responding officers located her leaning against a wall near her rolled-over Nissan Xterra SUV. She had to be transported to a hospital for her injuries, and she admitted to drinking prior to driving. Officers say she performed poorly on the field sobriety tests that were able to be conducted from a stretcher. Due to her hospitalization, she was issued a citation charging her with DUI, and she was booked on that citation this week.

Tourist Todd Miller pooped in hotel elevator, scooted dirty butt across floor like a dog

Metro Nashville Police responded to the Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville Hotel at 2 p.m. Monday, where 37-year-old tourist Todd Miller was due to check out as his stay had ended. Instead, he was reportedly extremely intoxicated and had just defecated in an elevator and was wandering the floors of the hotel while refusing to leave, including “scooting his poop-covered butt cheeks across the floor like a dog,” according to a witness account of the incident. As officers arrived, the staff pointed to a black Dodge Ram, which he had just gotten into and started the ignition, and that’s where police found the feces-covered man. Miller stated he had just finished a box of wine and asked for a lawyer. He was charged with DUI and transported to booking.

40-year-old Heather Pettit says she had “two or three drinks” prior to crashing her rental car into a car driven by Alyssa Schelnker late Tuesday night at Bell Rd & Couchville Pike. She was sitting on the guardrail when police arrived and initially denied being the driver but later admitted to crossing the yellow line and into the other vehicle, driven by Schelnker, who suffered a laceration on her hand and other injuries. She reportedly reeked of alcohol and repeatedly referred to field sobriety tests as “feel sobriety tasks,” according to police. She called her mother and ignored directives from officers, and refused to be cuffed. She was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

25-year-old Ashley Asauskas crashed her vehicle just 200 yards from her home in the early hours of Monday morning. Shen then exited the wrecked car and walked to her home just down the street. Police were on the lookout for 55-year-old Gregory Stamps, who was reported to be intoxicated and driving a black Toyota RAV4 on January 5. He was eventually located on Woodland Street, where they conducted a traffic stop to check on his welfare. Officers say he had constricted pupils and the smell of alcohol coming from his breath. Stamps stated he consumed a 25oz beer prior to driving, and officers observed a 25oz Natty Daddy in the console beside him.
