32-year-old David Hogan admits to driving from “somewhere on Broadway” to near Lipscomb University, and taking “a few shots” along the way. When police responded to the area, they located him leaning against a fence in the backyard of a residence, with his arm through the neck hole of his shirt, and profusely sweating. Neighbors say he left his car parked with its hazards on while he was drunkenly roaming through the neighborhood. He blew a 0.139 BAC.
DUI: Man crawls out of wrong-way I-40 crash, claims he wasn’t the driver — Brian Lowery arrested
Police say 32-year-old Brian Lowery was driving the wrong way on the interstate Wednesday night at a high rate of speed when he crashed into another vehicle head-on and rolled over it. He tried to tell police he was just a passenger and wasn’t actually driving, however, witnesses were able to confirm he was the only person in the vehicle and clearly was the driver. He is free on a $2,500 cash bond.

Police say 22-year-old Dneshia Mitchell blew a 0.231 BAC after crashing her car in Antioch. She sustained minor injuries, and completed field sobriety tests in her bare feet, after locking her keys in her car after the crash, with her shoes and socks inside. Mitchell says she had “two shots of Jack Daniel’s” ten minutes before driving. She is free on pre-trial release.
MNPD Officer arrested for DUI was attempting suicide with duty weapon after breakup, court documents reveal
Metro Nashville Police issued a simple statement that one of their officers had been dismissed after he was charged with DUI when his “pickup truck hit another vehicle’s side mirror, and he left the scene”. Court records show Officer Jerram Plastow had actually driven to an East Nashville Public Housing Community to commit suicide with his Glock 22 duty weapon after his girlfriend broke up with him. MNPD only disclosed the DUI narrative and did not release any of the other details on the mental stability of the 32-year-old officer they had recently given a gun and badge to protect the city.

As an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Levitt reportedly tossed a beer bottle out the window, then denied it, then eventually admitted it. He asked for a lawyer but then continued telling the officer about how his intoxication. He blew a 0.103 BAC.

24-year-old Jared Beard was found asleep behind the wheel of his car at an intersection just south of downtown Nashville and admitted to drinking prior to driving. Police say he agreed to a breathalyzer, a demonstrated he could blow hard enough, however, when his lips met the actual machine, he wouldn’t blow hard enough for it to register. He also urinated on himself multiple times while speaking to police, and in the back of a patrol car.

Police boxed in her car, shook her car, even used an airhorn to attempt to wake her.

27-year-old Megan Hoover is charged with DUI after she crashed at I-24 & Haywood Lane Sunday. She told officers she was exhausted from work, and had smoked “a lot of weed”, taken suboxone earlier that morning, and had done what she initially believed to be cocaine, but now believes it was methamphetamine. Before falling asleep during transport she was talking to someone who wasn’t there.

28-year-old Clinton Waschow, Operations Manager for Jason Aldean’s Bar in downtown Nashville, told police he had “two drinks” at Aldean’s before they found him drunkenly driving past officers who were blocking a bridge for roadwork. Police say 20-year-old Randall Shores admitted to drinking alcohol before sideswiping another vehicle in a downtown Nashville parking garage late Saturday night and determined he was heavily intoxicated. However, by the time Officer Zachary Maxa arrived, he says Shores was outside the vehicle with his keys in the pocket of his shorts, so he couldn’t charge him with DUI – instead, he charged him with public intoxication, which was automatically dismissed.
