Tourist charged after repeatedly punching wife on ground in downtown Nashville — Robert Hunter Jr. arrested

42-year-old Robert Hunter Jr., of Massachusetts, is now charged with the domestic assault of his wife, Michelle Hunter, during their trip to Nashville. A witness called 911 while stopped at a traffic light near Broadway & 14th Ave N. when they heard a female scream and yell for help then observed Hunter punching the woman on the ground while yelling obscenities at her. The victim initially claimed the argument was only verbal, however, officers documented multiple injuries on her body and dirt on her clothing. Hunter told police nothing happened, and his wife actually slapped him.

California man destroys wife’s iPhone, claims she took photo of another man at downtown Nashville Bar — William Hawkins

While in town from California, Jennifer Hawkins called police to report that while she and her husband, 40-year-old William Hawkins, were out at a bar on Broadway she took a photo of a person with her iPhone, resulting in him grabbing her phone and smashing it on the ground, destroying it. She says she was taking a photo of her husband, however, he believes she was taking a photo of another man. Officer Gault transported the wife to a nearby Apple store so she could purchase a new phone, and Officer Hill took Hawkins into custody, charging him with felony vandalism with a domestic violence rider, invoking the state-manded 12-hour hold before his release.

Dallas Gonzales charged in domestic assault of fiancée in Nashville

33-year-old Dallas Gonzales is charged with domestic assault with bodily injury after his fiancée, Kendra Hampton, called Metro Nashville Police to their home this week. She says Gonzales began yelling in her face, asking if she was OK, then grabbed her shoulders placing her in fear of being assaulted. She was able to break away and run upstairs, but he grabbed onto her, causing an injury to her hand. Gonzales was transported to booking and is free on a $2,000 bond.

Heather Rose Brinn assaults sleeping boyfriend over Facebook posts

Tim Basford says he was sleeping when his girlfriend, 40-year-old Heather Rose Brinn, entered their shared bedroom and struck him in the head with a blunt object. She was yelling about Facebook posts and throwing objects around the room. She then took his work phone and attempted to run out of the house with it, however, he grabbed her by the arm to prevent her from destroying it, stating she has a history of destroying his belonging. Officers say Brinn’s version of events changed each time she recounted it, and that she has a history of domestic violence incidents. She was charged with domestic assault with bodily injury and is free on a $2,500 bond.

Tykylan Walker charged with strangling girlfriend during lunch break & calmly returning to work after

Itavia Drake says her boyfriend, 29-year-old Tykylan Walker, came home agitated during his lunch break and accused her of cheating on him. She says he pushed her with his shoulder and told her to get away from their child, before pushing her to the ground and strangling her with both his hands around her neck until she was unable to breathe. He then reportedly threatened to kill her as he left the apartment to return to work. Police documents multiple injuries on the victim and took out warrants for Walker, who was taken into custody just a few hours later.

Shakayla Edwards slaps husband, accuses him of cheating during a card game

Police responded to the Comfort Suites at Rivergate Mall on March 27th in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, many people were walking around outside, yelling at each other. The entire group was related to one another, and reportedly were playing a card game when 27-year-old Shakayla Edwards accused her husband, Jerry Edwards, of cheating during the game. He says she did strike him in the face multiple times during the assault. Family members confirmed she had been drinking heavily prior to the assault.

Benjamin Stock says he came to pick up his daughter from the Call Hill Road home of his wife, 39-year-old Janelle Stock. While there he says she began to repeatedly assault him in the face with her hands, leaving him with visible swelling and bruising to his face. Police documented his injuries and spoke to Janelle, who told them there was no physical altercation. Officers observed very visible redness to her hands, consistent with being used to assault her husband. When police handcuffed her inside the residence, she sat on the floor and refused to move, resulting in officers physically carrying the grown woman out of her home and placing her into the patrol car.

Kassie Webber says her boyfriend and father of her children, 33-year-old Lukas Mansfield, recorded an “unflattering video” of her while she was ill and she demanded that he erase it from his phone. When he refused an argument escalated and she gathered the children, put them in the vehicle, and prepared to leave. She says Mansfield began banging on the car window and when she unlocked the door he pulled her out and knocked her down onto the concrete driveway. She says he then dragged her by her sweatshirt and hair. Police documented her injuries.

Amanda Parker charged with assault of fiance Reid Westerhoff during trip to Nashville

Metro Nashville Police were dispatched to a West Nashville Best Western just before 6 a.m. Saturday after calls came in about a woman screaming. Officers spoke with Amanda Parker, who turned 23-year-old today, who advised she was extremely intoxicated and wasn’t really sure why she was covered in splatter from an alcoholic drink, or why she was arguing with her fiance, Reid Westerhoff. Westerhoff, was presented with visible injuries, explained they had been out at a bar and she came back to the hotel before him, and his later return woke her up. She became upset, swung at him, causing a drink to land on them and all around the room, and left visible marks and scratches on his chest and face. She was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody for domestic assault.

Brice Mertiff charged in assault of girlfriend after she leaves him at the Morgan Wallen concert in Nashville.

Erika Dell says she and her boyfriend of the past year, 35-year-old Brice Mertiff, were at the Morgan Wallen concert in Nashville when she left him there and returned to the hotel to go to bed. Once the concert was over and Mertiff returned she says he woke her up by throwing a drink at her, soaking her upper body, upset because she didn’t stay with him. He became so irate that she began to pack her things to leave him at the Grand Hyatt Hotel where they were staying on Broadway. He reportedly tackled her to the ground as she fled to the elevators, and she struck him with a cell phone in self-defense, and a bystander assisted the victim as she was screaming for help with him on top of her. Security footage captured the entire incident and was reviewed. Mertiff was charged with domestic assault and sent home to Pennsylvania on a $2,500 cash bond.

His ex-girlfriend, Tityona Lowe, says she went to his Antioch home to deal with a car title issue that had them both listed, and she needed photos of a busted window for insurance purposes. She says he came out to the car while she was using a Bluetooth headset and snatched her phone and wouldn’t return it, cutting her finger in the process. 34-year-old Hannah German flagged down police officers in downtown Nashville, reportedly asking for help in detaining her sister, Emma German. A group of citizens near 5th & Broadway were also reporting an assault was occurring between the two sisters. The two had been at Tootsie’s and got into an argument over using a rideshare to return to their hotel. Emma attempted to part ways, however, Hannah grabbed her by the neck twice, refusing to let her leave. During the scuffle, Emma sustained some injuries, including a bloody lip, scratches on her neck and chest, and a broken backpack, which she had been wearing.

Vikki Rush says she returned home after being out drinking and found the door was locked, causing her to have to knock until her husband, 61-year-old Lawrence Rush, let her inside. As she moved past him, her purse reportedly hit her husband, and she says he pushed her in response, starting a physical altercation. Vikki told police her husband eventually pushed her to the ground and strangled her, leaving scratch marks on her neck. During the struggle, he reportedly grabbed her by the hair and hit both her head and nose on the floor, which was swollen and had some bleeding.

Jalil Huddleston says she went to dinner with her ex-boyfriend, 44-year-old Franklin Dee Settle, at the Green Hills Grille Saturday. During the dinner, the pair engaged in a verbal altercation and she took possession of his phone. In an attempt to retrieve his phone he grabbed her by the hair and brought her to the ground in the middle of the restaurant. Multiple witnesses reported he appeared to be strangling her during the altercation.

Rayshonda Crawford, who is 8 months pregnant, says 38-year-old Cameron Eason, with who she also has a child, entered her home without permission, and that it has been an ongoing issue since he moved out two months ago. She told police when it happened this weekend, she grabbed a knife in self-defense and demanded that he leave her home. He refused and a struggle ensued over the knife, which was captured on video, and threatened to kill her. As police were investigating, Eason came back onto her property in an aggressive manner toward her, stopping just inches from her as she screamed for help from the officers he threatened to punch her in the face. Police took Eason into custody and transported him to booking.
