The suspect attempted multiple times to punch his father in the face after accusing his father of throwing away his pills. Jake Catagnus charged in wild, bloody assault of bother, who has a dislocated shoulder
24-year-old Jake Catagnus was jailed Saturday after police responded to a South Nashville apartment where he lives with his brother, Brandon Catagnus. Officers say the apartment was in disarray, with blood on the walls. The two brothers were reportedly at Kung Fu Saloon earlier in the night, and one came home before the other, though both have differing accounts of who that was. They also had different account of how Brandon’s shoulder was dislocated out of the socket, with reasons varying from wrestling, to “a fight where he didn’t fight back”, to breaking down a door. Jake’s hand was blood covered, he was heavily intoxicated, and he was determined to be the primary aggressor in the assault of his brother.
Brendan Fielder Pitts knocks out roommate in downtown Nashville fight
Police say 26-year-old Brendan Fielder Pitts punched his roommate, Alain De Villiers, square in the face at 4th & Demonbreun in downtown Nashville Sunday night. The two reportedly argued about how drunk Brendan was and decided to leave. As Alain called for a ride, his roommate punched him, knocking him unconsciously momentarily. As he continued, Brendan caught up with him and punched him again, throwing him to the ground. Brendan also stole the keys to the house and attempted to flee as police arrived.
Fredrick Smith charged in bathroom assault of the mother of his children
37-year-old Fredrick Smith is charged with the domestic assault of the mother of his children, Elocin Nuleaf. She says that in January, she came to his house, and as she used the restroom, she observed her children were in the bathtub by themselves. She then stopped to bathe the children, at which time Smith came into the bathroom and reportedly grabbed her by the wrists. She says she was pulled and pushed around the bathroom and pressed against the vanity. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked on that warrant this week.
One roommate jailed after night of “drinking to excess” — Edward Rhoden
Police say 27-year-old Edward Rhoden and his roommate, Aaron McCray, were both ‘drinking to excess’ on February 12. Aaron says he doesn’t remember what happened that night but knows he woke up with a black eye. Edward says he absolutely slugged his roommate in his eye, leaving it bruised and black. Officers took Edward into custody and charged him with domestic assault.
Jaelen Broyles punches roommate in face twice in TV dispute
21-year-old Jaelen Broyles and Henry Lastrap have been roommates for approximately three weeks. On February 11th, Jaelen punched Henry in the face twice in an argument over the TV. Jaelen was sleeping in the living room, where Henry’s television was located. Henry became upset and told him to watch the TV in his own room, as he didn’t want him watching his in the living room. An argument ensued, escalated to name-calling, and then the punches flew as Jaelen restrained Henry on the floor.
Nicholas Moore charged after pushing girlfriend’s face into mud during an assault
27-year-old Nicholas Moore reportedly smashed his girlfriend’s head into the mud during an assault on February 3. Police say the two were in an argument over ‘relationship issues’ that was taken outside into the parking lot of their North Nashville apartment complex. She says he pushed her and threw her to the ground and dragged her into the mud and pushed her head into it. Nicholas’ friend intervened, giving the victim, Jessica Turner, time to retrieve a box cutter for self-defense. She screamed for Moore to leave her alone, but he rushed her in an attempt to take the box cutter and, in doing so, cut his hand before fleeing. As police were at the scene, Moore also called 911 to report the knife wound and stated he was driving himself to Centennial Hospital. Officers positioned themself to await his arrival, but he never showed up. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked on it this week.
Kevin Davis brutally assaulted his lover while wearing gloves and socks over his hands
Gabrielle Norman says her 41-year-old lover Kevin Davis put on fingerless boxing gloves and then black socks over his hands before he pulled the sheets off the bed and grabbed her by the throat, and tossed her to the ground. Once on the ground, she said he accused her of cheating. He then began to brutally punch and kick her. Officers documented bruising “all over her body.” The incident occurred in June, and a warrant was issued for his arrest at that time. He was booked on that warrant this week.
Sydney Johnson-Donaldson charged in assault of ex-boyfriend
20-year-old Sydney Johnson-Donaldson was booked this week on an outstanding warrant from December, charging her with domestic assault. Her ex-boyfriend (and father of her child), Fred Dushimimana, says she came to his apartment on December 4 and argued with him about a computer. He stated the computer belonged to him, but she claimed it was hers. In an effort to de-escalate the situation, he decided to leave the apartment. As he turned his back to her, Sydney reportedly punched him three times before fleeing the area. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

19-year-old Saniya Robinson says she was with her 20-year-old boyfriend, Lavelldo Washington, on February 4 when she noticed he had called his ex-girlfriend while they were in a vehicle together. An argument ensued Saniya shoved Lavelldo, and in return, he threw a phone at her head, leaving her with a large knot in the center of her forehead. She says Lavello also punched her in the face. After the scuffle, Saniya admits she went into Lavelldo’s house and destroyed his $500 cologne, Apple 7 watch, and a pair of Airpod Pros.
Katherine Alberto slaps her boyfriend during her own birthday party
23-year-old Katherine Alberto was celebrating her 23rd birthday this weekend with her boyfriend, Victor Servellon. At some point during the late-night celebration, the couple began to argue and slapped her boyfriend in the face. A fight ensued, leaving several broken and displaced items strewn around the apartment, according to police. Officers documented a red mark under the victim’s eye and other bruising. Katherine was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
Wild Beaver leads to fight between Jordan Votruba & wife
34-year-old Jordan Michael Votruba was with his wife, Ashley Votruba, at the Wild Beave in downtown Nashville when the couple was kicked out of the bar due to a disturbance. As they were walking back to the Courtyard by Marriott hotel, his wife walked ahead of him to show her frustration with him. She was far enough ahead that a group of men asked if she was lost, and as Jordan caught up, he heard their conversation and pushed her, causing officers to be flagged down, and everyone went about their night. After arriving at their hotel, the argument re-ignited. Jordan reportedly grabbed the back of his wife’s neck, slamming her into the counter, leaving a bruise on her chin, which was documented by officers. Against his will, Vortruba was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
Oneil Cunningham assaults girlfriend when baby falls off bed
28-year-old Oneil Cunningham is charged with beating the mother of his child after their baby rolled off the bed. He reportedly pulled her hair and punched her in the face and body. She was able to use her phone in self-defense and escape the apartment to call 911. Officers located her under a stairwell when they arrived and documented multiple injuries on her face.
New Jersey Tourist Deanna Paul bites lover at hotel after night on Broadway
51-year-old Deanna Paul was jailed early Saturday morning after a fight with her lover, Zachariah Coker, at the Residence Inn by Marriott Nashville Vanderbilt. The two were out drinking on Broadway in downtown Nashville Friday night when Zachariah decided to return to the hotel while Deanna stayed downtown. Once she returned to the hotel, Zachariah says she began to hit him in the face and bit his finger until she pushed him out of the room and locked the door. Deanna says she only bit his finger because he stuck it in her mouth while they were physically fighting. Officers documented injuries to the victim’s face and finger and took Deanna into custody, charging her with domestic assault.
Ray Hockaday charged with stalking and domestic assault of ex-girlfriend
55-year-old Ray Hockaday was jailed overnight, charged with the stalking and domestic assault of his ex-girlfriend. Arrest reports state the couple ended their relationship last summer. Since the relationship ended, Hockday spent days showing up at her home despite being told not to contact her anymore. She received multiple texts showing he was at her location, which neighbors confirmed as they observed him in his white Mercedes. He would stop and ring the doorbell and drive around the block multiple times. He would also leave items at her doorstep. At one point after the breakup, the two had a verbal argument which led to the victim being punched by Hockday as she was exiting the vehicle. Officers documented bruises from the assault. Warrants were issued for the arrest of Hockaday, who lives in Williamson County, last year. He was booked on the outstanding warrants overnight.
Marcy Reed slaps her boyfriend Raymond Rizzo after offensive comments
Raymond Rizzo says his 26-year-old girlfriend, Marcy Reed, slapped him on January 31 at their shared residence. Marcy admits to slapping Raymond, saying it was in response to something “extremely insensitive and offensive” he said to her. Raymond admits to making the statement. Police arrived at the home and observed a visible “red blotch” on Raymond’s lip from being slapped. Raymond wanted to prosecute her for the assault, and she was taken into custody, and charged with domestic assault.
Breanna Peach assaults brother when confronted over crystal meth habit
Christian Peach says he confronted his 19-year-old sister Breanna Peach about having crystal meth in the house on January 31. When he advised he would call the police if she didn’t seek help for her drug habit, she reportedly smacked his phone and slapped him, and he grabbed her arms and pushed her against a wall to stop the assault. Breanna says she did smack his phone but didn’t hit him. Officers documented a red mark on the victim’s arm when what appeared to be a slap injury.
Catherine Pirro pours juices on the floor & strips naked in the kitchen at 2 a.m.
Mohamed Ahmadi says his 40-year-old wife, Catherine Pirro, came home at 1:30 a.m. on January 25, poured containers of juice all over their kitchen, and then stripped naked. She then began to yell, scream, and slap her husband in the face. She then picked up their eight-month-old child, and when her husband attempted to take the child, Catherine bit his finger. Officers arrived and took her into custody for domestic assault with bodily injury.
Courtney Emery kicks in ex-boyfriend’s door, lays in his bed; assaults him; gunshot fired
30-year-old Courtney Emery kicked in the front door at the home of her ex-boyfriend, Ethan Opelt, just before 5 a.m. on January 25 and walked upstairs and lay in his bed while he was sleeping. He woke up and immediately told her to leave the residence and noticed she was extremely intoxicated. She then became aggressive and began to assault him. He felt in danger and armed himself with a nearby handgun, and they moved downstairs nearer to the door. Once in the living room, she began to assault him a second time, and the firearm was accidentally discharged during the struggle, firing into the ground. Officers noted multiple injuries on the victim, Emery’s shoe prints on the front door, a damaged door frame, and the destruction of the television and coffee table. A Neighbor, Larry Craig, also reported the gunshot to police.
Keion Smith charged with dragging his girlfriend by the hair, tearing out braids
Police say 24-year-old Keion Smith grabbed the mother of his child, Raven Scuggs, by her hair across the room and pulled out one of her braids. He then began to strike her in the head until she was bloody, according to an arrest warrant. The victim says Keion came home on January 26, heavily intoxicated, and requested the keys to her vehicle. He claimed to have found cigarettes in the vehicle, which he believed meant she was cheating on him. That’s when he re-entered their bedroom and began the assault. Their juvenile child witnessed the assault.
Trifling Tourists: Stacy Page accuses husband of having affair with a man on Nashville trip
48-year-old Stacy Page says she suspected her husband, 53-year-old Richard Page, of cheating on her with a man. When she confronted him about the alleged affair at the Candlewood Suites in Goodlettsville, she says he slapped her in the face. She retaliated by smashing him across the head with a glass liquor bottle, leaving him with a significant gash. Police responded to the location, and the primary aggressor could not be determined, so both were taken into custody and charged with domestic assault. The question of his rainbow rendezvous was not answered, and the couple bonded out to their Heidelburg, Mississippi, address.
Police say tourist Joseph Boyington assaulted his girlfriend & robbed her at Nashville hotel
33-year-old tourist Joseph Boyington stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Nashville this week with his girlfriend, Chelsea Matthews Dyer. The couple was enjoying Broadway Monday night when an argument erupted, and Chelsea returned to the hotel and checked into a new separate room. Later in the evening, after Boyington returned to the hotel, she eventually provided him with her new room number, and he visited her on the 23rd floor. She says he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against a wall, and then took her cell phone and fled the room. She found him on the 3rd floor and encountered him about taking her phone, and he then reportedly threw her against a wall again, and he fled the hotel. Officers documented marks and injuries on the victim and took Boyington into custody.
Tourist Stacie Gibson charged in brutal assault of daughter in downtown Nashville hotel
51-year-old Stacie LeBeau Gibson is charged with the brutal assault of her adult daughter inside a downtown Nashville hotel room late Saturday evening. Caylie Gibson called 911 from the DoubleTree hotel to report she was being assaulted by her mother, who was punching her at the time of the call; the dispatcher confirmed the commotion. Stacie bit her daughter’s fingers and ripped her hair out. Officers arrived to find multiple locks of the victim’s hair on the floor, visible bald spots on the victim’s head, a deep cup on her forehead, a cut to her left cheek, scratches on her neck, and bite marks on multiple fingers. Staci told police she wasn’t sure who initially started the fight. Caylie returned a few punches in self defense.
Parker Jones spits in officer’s mouth, kicks another in testicles after fighting parents
Police say 18-year-old Richard Parker Jones (AKA rparkeyjones from the forklift video) was in an argument with his parents, upset they would not co-sign a car loan for him. Officers responded to the Whitworth Way home of Donald Bradly Jones and Beth Higgins Jones on the afternoon of January 16 after the teenager had punched his father in the face and head before placing him in a choke-hold in a fit of rage. The mother’s 911 call states her son was attempting to strangle his father, then pushed his mother. The parents eventually restrained him, but he escaped their grasp after a short time and began to punch holes throughout the walls of the home before fleeing. Officers encountered him nearby, and as they were taking him into custody, he kicked Officer Blake Langford in the testicles, spit into Officer Jared Dick’s mouth, and spit on Sgt. Ky Luu. Jones was restrained and contained, and transported to booking. At the time of his arrest, Jones had an outstanding warrant charging him with the theft of two cases of White Claws from a Nashville Mapco store.
Tourist Adam Foulke charged with assault of his girlfriend in downtown Nashville hotel
Metro Nashville Police officers responded to the Sentral SoBro on January 18 after residents reported a loud argument coming from the hallway near the elevator. Officers arrived and could hear 26-year-old Adam Foulke screaming for his girlfriend, Samantha Moore, to go to bed as she screamed for him to let her leave. Initially, neither person would answer the knocks at the door, but eventually, Samantha opened the door, and they both exited. She explained they had an argument over her phone being stolen that turned physical when Adam grabbed her and threw her onto the ground, then pushed her into a wall. Police documented multiple bruises and abrasions on the victim at the scene. Adam denied everything and said she was the one that had assaulted him, and he simply “placed her in the bedroom” to stop her from kicking him. Adam was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.
