39-year-old Chase Mitchell, known locally as “Mr. 615”, was pulled over in a traffic stop late Thursday night due to the license plate not matching the vehicle he was driving on Old Hickory Blvd. He told Officer Bryan Malone, “I must have put the wrong tag on the vehicle; I own a car lot.” As Mitchell reached into the glove box to retrieve the registration, officers observed a TEC-9 gun on the floorboard and asked Mitchell to step away. Mitchell stated he also had a 9mm Ruger in his front pocket when asked. After securing both firearms, it was discovered Case Mitchell was a convicted felon. Robert Brodie to police: “I don’t understand why selling meth is a problem”
42-year-old Robert Brodie was found stumbling along the roadway in downtown Nashville Tuesday evening as officers stopped to check on his welfare. Police say it was immediately obvious he was under the influence of a controlled substance and was unable to care for himself. As he was being taken into custody for public intoxication for his own safety, officers located 3.3 grams in total of multiple small packages of crystal methamphetamine, along with $328 in cash. While at booking, he exclaimed that he “didn’t understand why selling meth is a problem.” He repeatedly claimed not to have any more drugs on him; however, a search at booking revealed an additional 2 grams of meth inside his wallet.
Joseph Griffith fights brother in attempt to bring gun into Diamante Night Club in south Nashville
21-year-old Joseph Griffith was taken into custody after getting into a fight with his brother, Christopher Griffith, when Christoper attempted to stop him from bringing a gun into the Diamante Night Club in south Nashville. The two physically fought in the parking lot, leaving both with visible injuries to their faces. Joseph was cleared at the hospital and then transported to booking, where a full body scan at intake revealed a 9mm bullet rolled up in the front pocket of his jeans.
