James Keithman deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

36-year-old James Roberts Keithman was on Broadway in downtown Nashville when officers responded to a call from someone concerned about his level of intoxication. Officers located him at 315 Broadway, where he was stumbling and visibly intoxicated. Initially, officers attempted to help him get a ride home; however, while waiting for his ride he attempted to flee the area on foot and immediately face-planted on the sidewalk. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Alejandro Wright rips shirt off in wild rage against girlfriend in downtown Nashville

31-year-old Alejandro Grant Wright was at the intersection of 4th & Broadway Saturday when police say he was in a “heated verbal argument” with his girlfriend, Valeria Galvan. He was reportedly irate and causing such a scene that he drew the attention of all the citizens in the immediate downtown area. Wright then ripped off his shirt and walked aggressively at his girlfriend as officers intervened to prevent any physical assault from happening. Galvan says she was in fear of being hurt by Wright.

Robert Dillon pepper sprayed & arrested after trying to break into his apartment building while intoxicated

30-year-old Robert Dillon is charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication after he attempted to “bust the door open” to his downtown Nashville apartment building and was pepper-sprayed by security. He was reportedly attempting to get into an inner door leading to the residences when a guard says she told him to stop trying to break through the door, and he became irate. She says he yelled at her, took a fighting stance, and took a swing at her. Fearing for her safety, she pepper sprayed the resident. She says he then fell to the ground and began hitting his own head on a ramp causing his nose to bleed. Officers arrived and say he smelled of alcohol and took him into custody. Dillon has frequently opined about the digital key system not working at the building and often posted photographs of the rooms full of trash in the complex.

Stephen Laird too wild for the Wildhorse

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative late Friday night responded to the Wildhorse Saloon area of 2nd Ave, where they found 34-year-old Stephen Laird causing a disturbance. He was visibly intoxicated and slurring his words while reeking of alcohol. Laird was screaming obscenities at everyone in the area and was eventually taken into custody and transported to booking.

Andrew Murphey punched a woman in the face; she hit him back with a glass vase

Metro Nashville Police observed a fight on Broadway in front of The Stage, and as they attempted to intervene, 30-year-old Andrew Murphy remained irate and refused to calm down. Police say he was incredibly drunk and bleeding heavily from an injury he received when he punched a woman who then struck him in self-defense with a large glass vase she was carrying. As he was being taken into custody he fought and fled, and after a brief foot chase was cuffed after another struggle and several more officers had to assist in his apprehension. Patrons & staff of The Stage on Broadway told police Murphy was kicked out of the venue for disturbing others, and he had punched at least two patrons without provocation. During a search of Murphy, police found a small plastic baggy with a clear crystal substance and glass pipe inside.

Nyak Koang charged with disorderly conduct after shooting outside 3000 Bar

22-year-old Nyak Koang is charged with taking a swing at another female during an argument outside the 300 Bar while police were investigating a shooting that had just occurred. Police attempted to disperse this group of women who were engaged in a loud and disruptive argument, however, they refused to leave the scene that police were attempting to investigate. Koang was the primary instigator and was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

Georgia man charged after attempting to fight police outside Capitol Hotel downtown — David Phillip Messick

32-year-old David Phillip Messick, who was visiting Music City from Georgia, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail after officers say he caused quite the disturbance at the Capitol Hotel in downtown Nashville. Management initially called police after he became extremely intoxicated and attempted to fight staff members. Officer arrived to find him yelling and screaming at staff and other patrons. As officers approached he wanted them to “don’t walk up on me!” and squared up with them while balling up his fists. Unimpressed with his chances at winning a fight, offices took Messick into custody against his will, while he kicked, screamed, pulled away from, and threatened violence toward, officers. Once in the patrol car, he had to be hobbled as he kept attempting to know out the windows of the unit. Messick is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. Messick is free on a $2,000 bond.

Texas Tourist found drunk, disorderly, & trespassing at Nashville Symphony — Mark Alan Richardson

23-year-old Mark Alan Richardson, from Texas, was found yelling and screaming from inside a locked & gated courtyard area of the Nashville Symphony in downtown Nashville. He apparently was unable to get out of the area, and venue security told police they believe he had to scale the eight-foot-tall gates to get stuck inside. Richardson refused to speak to officers and was transported to the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass. He is free on pre-trial release.

Man pretends to be staff at Kid Rock’s Bar, takes money, uses it to buy his own drinks — Robert Lee Hurd

52-year-old Robert Lee Hurd was denied entry into Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville, so he snuck through a window and milled about inside where he pretended to be an employee of the bar. Hurd took money from patrons under the guise of getting them drinks, however, he used it to buy himself drinks… $83.84 worth, to be exact – so approximately 4 drinks. He is charged with criminal trespass and theft, and is free on a $1,000 bond.

36-year-old Philadelphia tourist James Payton was found “extremely intoxicated” and attempting to fight staff at the Moxy in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was immediately irritated with the arrival of officers and stated they should “walk away from him, right now!”. Despite attempts to get him to his room, he stated he wasn’t going anywhere. Officers understood the assignment and took Payton into custody, charging him with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He is free on pre-trial release.
