Petty Vanderbilt Police charge George Woods with marijuana possession in parking lot

Sgt Orlando Dixson of the Vanderbilt University Police Department charged 22-year-old George Woods IV with marijuana possession on January 20. Dixson says he approached an illegally parked vehicle in a Vanderbilt University parking lot and noticed the seats were laid all the way back. Two small bags of marijuana were in plain view, and the driver, Woods, admitted it was his marijuana for personal use. Woods was booked on the citation this week.

Deke’ria West shops for “ass-whooping remedies” to conceal the brutal beating she gave a child

20-year-old Deke’ria West is jailed in lieu of a $76,000 bond, charged with the aggravated child abuse of the son of her boyfriend, who is currently jailed. In a recorded call to him while he was in jail, she is heard assaulting the child at the direction of the jailed boyfriend, Milton Sales. She admits to hurting the child, and he is even on the phone with her while she’s shopping for “ass-whooping remedies” at Walgreens, as she selects scar treatment, cocoa butter, and witch hazel. Once the child was treated at Vanderbilt, doctors discovered severe swelling of his forehead, large bruises and bumps on his head, two black and swollen eyes, a busted lip, welp marks at different stages of healing, some in a deep U-shape, several circular burns on his body, spine fractures, and compressions fractures T1-T4 and T6-T7 on the spine. Despite her admission on the recording, she claims she only hit him with a switch, and all other injuries were from “another babysitter.”

Kyle Bramer booked on citation for rolling a blunt in 2019

25-year-old Kyle Bramer was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail this week on an outstanding citation from 2019, charging him with simple drug possession. Police Officer (now Sergeant) Tyler Conrads issued the citation, stating he witnessed Bramer “preparing a marijuana blunt in the passenger seat of a vehicle”.

Daniel Gann charged in the beating of a disabled man in a hospital bed

Police say 34-year-old Daniel Gann entered TriStar Skyline Medical Center in 2017 when he was 30 years old and walked into the room of a 55-year-old disabled patient, shutting the door behind him. Neither man knew the other, and he asked the man in the hospital bed his name and confirmed he was Parker Phillips. He told the man to get up out of the bed and then began to punch him in the face as he raised up, knocking him to the floor. The victim fought his way to the door, at which time a nurse heard his calls for help. It was later learned that Daniel was the nephew of the man’s ex-girlfriend. Daniel Gann was given a state citation for assault, for which he never appeared. 4 years, 3 months, and 7 days later he was booked into custody on the charge.

75-year-old admits to destroying neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera with her cane— Linda Jones

75-year-old Linda Jones, who carries a homemade shield crafted from the same aluminum foil that lines the interior of her car, was jailed Thursday after she failed to appear on a citation charging her with vandalism. She believes that voices, which were reported at different times to be the voice of the property manager or the Nashville Chief of Police, had told her to destroy her neighbor’s ring doorbell, and at a later time, to kill them. She succeeded in destroying the Ring video doorbell camera, admitting to police she used her cane.

76-year-old says a child he was babysitting stole $200, so he wouldn’t let him leave — John Collins

76-year-old John Collins was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on an outstanding citation charging him with the false imprisonment of a juvenile boy who he had befriended about six months prior. While he was babysitting the juvenile, Collins says the child stole $200 from his apartment, which is inside the Green Hills Retired Teachers Apartments Tower. After he called the child’s mother he refused to bring the child down from the secured complex for over two hours, stating he was afraid the boy would run off on him. The child said he was not allowed to leave.

Man who leaped onto the field during Titans game booked on his citations — Tanner Sawyer

25-year-old Tanner Sawyer self-booked on his citation charges this week, stemming from his trek across the field of Nissan Stadium during the Titans game on January 2nd against Miami. Sawyer was cited for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after says he leaped onto the field and ran across it after several other fans in his section “dared him” to do it. Police declared it was a “great annoyance to spectators”.

Woman charged with assault of bouncer at Nudie’s Honky Tonk — Sarah Sneeden

39-year-old Sarah Sneeden is charged with assault after a security guard at Nudie’s Honky Tonk says she asked Sneeden to step away from the door of the business and she refused – instead, she grabbed the bouncer by the neck and pushed her aside. It took several other personnel to assist in containing Sneeden until police could arrive. She was issued a state citation for misdemeanor assault.

Texas tourist issued assault citation, accused of smacking hotel housekeeper’s ass: Bobby Koricanek

54-year-old Bobby Koricanek, who owns multiple businesses in Texas, visited Nashville in May and stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel, where he was positively identified as the man who let a housekeeper into his hotel room, then “smacked her on the ass” in a sexual assault. Instead of arresting him, Metro Police simply issued him a citation for assault, on which he eventually was booked this week.
