Clinton Durham charged in the brutal assault of his girlfriend in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police say that during an argument on July 30th, 26-year-old Clinton Durham brutally attacked his girlfriend, Julia Marie Fraser at their downtown Nashville residence. During an argument, he reportedly pushed the victim to the ground and then repeatedly kicked and punched her. She says Durham then got on top of her and placed both of his hands around her neck, and began to strangle her. Officers documented injuries and bruising on the victim.

Callie Carder assaults boyfriend multiple times, upset she can’t drive while drunk

Late Sunday night Metro Nashville Police say 23-year-old Callie Carder was at her workplace at Fifth and Broadway when she called her boyfriend of two years, Caleb Gaw, and stated she was extremely intoxicated and about to drive to their home. Gaw immediately rushed to the location to pick her up, along with a co-worker who would be dropped off along the way. An argument began and continued the entire ride, where Carder was upset she was unable to drive, and she reportedly continued to assault her boyfriend and made continued and repetitive attempts to “rip the steering wheel out of his hands.”

After the friend was dropped off near Edmondson Pike, the argument escalated, and he stopped the car at the Ellington Ag Center as it was unsafe to drive. Carder then retrieved her metal weed grinder and bashed it into his forehead, leaving a one-inch laceration. He ripped it from her hand and tossed it out the window, and called 911 during this period, but the call ended. He then drove the car the remainder of the way home to separate himself from her, and she assaulted him again on the way inside.

Sultan Al Shareef booted out of Jason Aldean’s, busts out of DCSO booking

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville observed 21-year-old Sultan Nassir Al Shareef extremely intoxicated and disorderly in front of Jason Aldean’s Bar in the early hours of Sunday morning. Al Shareef was fighting with security and had his legs wrapped around the security ropes. He pushed and shoved and refused to be cuffed by officers who were attempting to detain him. Eventually, he was placed in the back of a patrol vehicle but was too intoxicated to provide any information about himself. A friend who was nearby provided Shareef’s name and phone number. As he was being brought inside to booking, Al Shareef attempted to run out and jumped over multiple DCSO guards to get out of the Sally port. He was eventually overpowered and processed.

Tourist Christie Coulter arrested after going wild at the Mellow Mushroom

Metro Nashville Police officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville for CMA Fest were flagged down by security outside of 429 Broadway, where they observed 27-year-old Christie Coulter, from Massachusetts, who was hitting and pushing people on her way out of the Mellow Mushroom. Sergeant Carlow Urrutia attempted to make contact and detain Coulter by grabbing her wrist, however, she became irate and resisted, causing him to take her to the ground. She was placed in a patrol car, despite attempts to pull away from officers, and then screamed and kicked the partition inside the cruiser. Once at booking, she continues screaming and causing a disturbance.

Southwest passenger Kevin Comeaux found “dazed and confused” at airport bar

Nashville Airport Police found 22-year-old Kevin Comeaux slumped over and asleep at the bar of the Puckett’s restaurant on Concourse D. Officer awakened him for a welfare check and found him very “dazed and confused,” and it was apparent he had urinated on himself while at the bar. He refused to provide his name, only offering that he was fine and flying with Southwest Airlines. A Southwest representative responded to the bar and advised him he would be denied boarding due to his state of intoxication. The officer attempted to escort him to the unsecured side of the airport where he could be rebooked for a later flight; however, Comeaux refused to cooperate. He was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Brentwood man charged in assault of his son — Stephane Francois arrested

Police took 61-year-old Stephane Francois, of Brentwood, into custody Monday after a verbal argument with his son, Charles Francois, escalated into a physical altercation. The victim and his father both gave the same account of events, recalling that Stephane threw his son down onto the ground. Stephane told officers he was responsible for the assault, and police documented injuries on the right side of the victim’s face.

Canadian Christopher O’Malley charged with brazen assault on wife in downtown Nashville

48-year-old Canadian tourist Christopher Andrew O’Malley is charged with the domestic assault of his wife at the intersection of 2nd Ave & Broadway in downtown Nashville. Bishoy Malk was downtown when he noticed Tracy O’Malley on the street, crying. As he asked if the lady needed assistance, her husband, Andrew O’Malley, walked behind her and placed her in a “rear-naked choke” (RNC) hold. Malk alerted a nearby Trooper who broke up the assault. Tracy was persistent that “nothing happened”, however, there was a street full of witnesses, including the THP Trooper.

33-year-old Dallas Gonzales is charged with domestic assault with bodily injury after his fiancée, Kendra Hampton, called Metro Nashville Police to their home this week. She says Gonzales began yelling in her face, asking if she was OK, then grabbed her shoulders placing her in fear of being assaulted. She was able to break away and run upstairs, but he grabbed onto her, causing an injury to her hand. Gonzales was transported to booking and is free on a $2,000 bond.

Cache Handy charged in flower vase assault of her child’s father when she’s accused of cheating

25-year-old Cache Handy was jailed on an outstanding warrant charging her with the domestic assault of her partner, Daviel Grant. He came to the Family Safety Center to report the couple had been arguing most of the prior evening due to him having an appointment and her getting home late due to traffic. At some point, the argument escalated and he says he confronted her about cheating. She reportedly began to throw things around the kitchen and swiped a flower vase from the counter in his direction, which broke and cut his leg, leaving an injury that police documented.

36-year-old Aaron Vance Godwin was seen at the Nashville Internation Airport striking his wife, Jessica Donnelli. Multiple witnesses and video confirmed the assault. She told officers that he was “just angry because they were late for their flight”, and asked that police not prosecute due to his history of PTSD. Police say 31-year-old Oscar Garcia told his wife, Julia Hernandez, he was going to drive to Atlanta, and she told him he should not because he was drunk. Unhappy with her response, Garcia reportedly pushed her multiple times and asked to use her phone, as he had broken his. When she refused to provide her phone, he then landed two punches to her face with his fists before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. He returned to the residence while police were taking the incident report and claimed his wife bashed her own head into a tree, despite there being multiple witnesses to the assault.

Aaron Madura charged with assault of his father in downtown Nashville

Motorcycle officer Hazzard observed 22-year-old Aaron Madura push his father on the sidewalk near 6th & Demonbreun in downtown Nashville. He turned his motorcycle around and followed behind the two, at which point he also observed Aaron slap his father, Frank Madura, in the back of the neck. As Hazzard was placing Madura into custody for domestic assault he says he “bucked up” on him to resist arrest after he was already in cuffs.

Intoxicated woman charged after spitting on police — Rebecca Wetherbee arrested

Police say 29-year-old Rebecca Wetherbee was being discharged from St. Thomas Midtown early Saturday after a brief visit and was causing a disturbance, refusing to leave. Officer offered to assist in getting her home, but she refused to tell them where she lived, and told them to”go f–k yourself”. Police determined she was still extremely intoxicated and since she refused to leave the property, she was taken into custody for criminal trespass. Wetherbee, however, wasn’t done. Once in the patrol car she began kicking the rear window, and spit on an officer who attempted to put her in hobble restraints.

Burglary: Woman breaks into home to steal back dog she admits to giving away 6 months prior — Trisha Patel

28-year-old Trish Patel is charged with felony aggravated burglary after she forced her way into an East Nashville Home and attempted to steal a dog named ‘Kovu’, which she freely admits she had previously given to the new owner six months prior. When confronted by officers, Patel fully confessed. She was charged with aggravated burglary and booked into the Metro Nashville Jail.

East Nashville Mother held minor child’s wrists while kicking her shins during assault, per report — Cheryl Holt a

47-year-old Cheryl Holt was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Tuesday morning, charged with the domestic assault of her minor child. Police say the minor child took her mother’s phone away from her because she was attempting to text threats to a third party. The minor returned to her bedroom, at which point Cheryl reportedly screamed at her from the hallway then punched her in the face and slapped her in the face. She then reportedly continued the assault by grabbing and holding her wrists while she kicked her in the shins. Responding officers observed and documented injuries on the minor child, as well as the apartment being in disarray. Cheryl Holt was transported to booking, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury, and is free on a $1,500 cash bond.

27-year-old Sarisa Orphal, a tourist from Fort Wayne, Indiana, is charged with domestic assault in Nashville after her boyfriend told police the couple had been out drinking on Broadway late Saturday night and returned to their room at the Cambria Hotel and began to argue. When Daniel Goff attempted to leave the hotel room she reportedly snatched the hat off his head and punched him in the face three times, leaving two bloody cuts on his face, according to Metro Nashville Police who documented the injuries. 23-year-old Roberto Herrera is charged with sexual battery and is free on a $5,000 bond. Police say he came to the home of his ex-girlfriend and requested to come in and “watch a movie”, which she agreed to, but told him she had a new boyfriend, and nothing “sexual” could happen. At some point during the Netflix he decided to chill and laid his head in her lap, and pulled her closer to him when she attempted to get up. She told him she would call 911 if he didn’t stop, however, he then went to her bedroom and got into her bed, where she says he forcefully kissed her and rubbed her. Court records show she told him to leave, and he replied “I understand you don’t want meq, I will leave now”, and left the apartment. The victim says she felt unsafe, even after he left, and then called police.
