Tourist Weston Porter arrested in Nashville after being drunk & disorderly downtown

22-Weston Porter was outside of Kid Rock’s Bar in downtown Nashville late Friday night as he approached Metro Nashville Police officers working in the area and shoulder-checked them while telling them there was a fight in the area. He bumped into the elbows and shoulders of multiple officers while causing a disturbance among the general public in the area. The only person attempting to fight in the area was Porter. Officers advised him to move along and go home, but Porter refused and continued to be drunk and disorderly. As police explained he was being taken into custody for public intoxication, Porter pulled away and resisted arrest. Once in custody, Porter repeatedly asked why he was cuffed, if it was illegal to be drunk in Nashville on a Friday night, and stated that he had been drinking beer.

Scott Valentine bounced from Whiskey Row, lands in jail after fighting to get back in

Just before 3 a.m. Saturday, Metro Nashville Police working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville responded to Whiskey Row on Broadway to find 22-year-old Scott Valentine being disorderly. Management of the bar reported they had asked him to leave the business, and he refused, then security physically removed him after the began to fight with them, and he continued to attempt to re-enter the bar. Officer took him into custody and transported him to booking.

Brittnie Dodson: drunk and disorderly at Nashville International Airport

As Nashville Airport Police were responding to a medical emergency call at gate C22 Saturday afternoon, and simultaneously there was a drunk and disorderly person call near the same area. As officers and medics were tending to the first call and speaking to the passenger, the person from the drunk & disorderly call, identified as 29-year-old Brittnie Dodson, began to stick her iPhone in the face of first responders, demanding to be escorted out of the area. An officer broke away from the medical call to escort Dodson to a taxi, however, she kept touching the officer while filming and weaving and wobbling while attempting to walk. After she started yelling obscenities across the airport she was eventually taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

California Fire Captain kicked out of Nudie’s Honky Tonk twice in two days — Justin Wilson

43-year-old Justin Wilson, a Captain with the Stockton California Fire Department, unlocked a new achievement while in Nashville. Metro Nashville Police say he was kicked out of Nudie’s Honky Tonk twice in two days. Josh Hightower, the General Manager of the bar, says he advised Wilson to leave the bar on Friday, May 6th, and not return. On Saturday, May 7th, Hightower says Wilson returned to Nudie’s Honky tonk. Police were contacted, and during an interview, Wilson reportedly told them he did not remember being kicked out the night before. Police took Wilson into custody and charged him with criminal trespass due to him being removed the night before, and refusing to leave when asked on this visit.

Father & Son Tourists cause CODE 5000 #OfficerDown call on Broadway — Weston & William Kandarian

24-year-old Weston Kandarian says off-duty South Carthage Police Officer, Kenneth Thomas, who was working as security for Tootsie’s on Broadway, asked his father, 55-year-old William Kandarian, to leave the venue due to being disruptive and reportedly standing on barstools. Weston interjected and punched and attacked the off-duty officer, while his father, William, placed the officer-turned-bouncer into a chokehold until he lost consciousness. Weston claims the officer is the one who placed him in a headlock first and started the physical confrontation. The victim was transported to Vanderbilt for treatment.

California man destroys wife’s iPhone, claims she took photo of another man at downtown Nashville Bar — William Hawkins

While in town from California, Jennifer Hawkins called police to report that while she and her husband, 40-year-old William Hawkins, were out at a bar on Broadway she took a photo of a person with her iPhone, resulting in him grabbing her phone and smashing it on the ground, destroying it. She says she was taking a photo of her husband, however, he believes she was taking a photo of another man. Officer Gault transported the wife to a nearby Apple store so she could purchase a new phone, and Officer Hill took Hawkins into custody, charging him with felony vandalism with a domestic violence rider, invoking the state-manded 12-hour hold before his release.

Woman charged with disorderly conduct in downtown Nashville — Isabel McLaughlin

Police say 20-year-old Isabel McLaughlin was attempting to fight citizens at 4th & Broadway in downtown Nashville. When officers asked her to move along and stop fighting, and despite several warnings, she tried to go around officers and continue the assaults. Officers then issued her a state citation for disorderly conduct. She self-booked on that citation this week.

19-year-old tourist drunk and disorderly at downtown Nashville Bar — Michael McGibney

19-year-old Michael McGibney was found at AJ’s Good Time Bar in downtown Nashville, heavily intoxicated. Employees report he had been in a fight, and informed police, who attempted to allow medics to transport him to the hospital, but he refused all treatment.

Due to his extreme state of drunkenness, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

California Tourist punches cop in face after being kicked out of Kid Rock’s Bar — Connor Brink-Sawyer

Metro Nashville Police officers say they repeatedly pleaded with 24-year-old Connor Lee Brink-Sawyer to go on about his night after he was kicked out of Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville for fighting inside the venue. Brink-Sawyer repeatedly tried to re-enter the bar and was extremely intoxicated. Despite attempts to let him walk away, he became aggressive toward officers, resulting in his initial arrest for public intoxication. As an officer began to take him into custody for a charge he would have walked away from after a sobering-up period, Brink-Sawyer began to swing his fists at officers, he landed a punch on the face of Officer Michael Jason Leon Hones.

Brink-Sawyer was transported to the Metro Nashville Jail, where he was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault of an officer. Connor Brink-Sawyer, who is from Modesto, CA, is free on pre-trial release. Today is his 24th birthday.

Woman says California visitor chugged beer & destroyed her kitchen — Justin Hickey arrested

Geri Michelle Robinson says she had 28-year-old Justin Hickey, of California, to her home this week, and he suddenly became verbally aggressive while chugging bottles of beer. He then began using the bottles to break things in the kitchen and used a Sharpie to write “disparaging remarks” on a door and vandalized her refrigerator.

When officers arrived he was still verbally berating the victim and admitted to his wrongdoings. He was charged with vandalism and is free on a $1,500 bond.

Burglary: Woman breaks into home to steal back dog she admits to giving away 6 months prior — Trisha Patel

28-year-old Trish Patel is charged with felony aggravated burglary after she forced her way into an East Nashville Home and attempted to steal a dog named ‘Kovu’, which she freely admits she had previously given to the new owner six months prior. When confronted by officers, Patel fully confessed. She was charged with aggravated burglary and booked into the Metro Nashville Jail.

She is free on a $2,500 cash bond.

Man asks wife to “eat the bullet” so he doesn’t have to “scatter her brains” — Wes Migletz arrested

50-year-old Wesley Migletz is charged with domestic assault with bodily injury after police responded to his wife, Winny, who was hiding in a nearby parking garage. She explained her husband was threatening to carry out a murder/suicide. The wife played a recording on which Wes can be heard saying “you are a parasite, if you had any decency you would eat the bullet and not make me scatter your brains” before punching her, and her crying out in pain.

Officers documented the victim’s injuries and located Wes Migletz walking his dog nearby, and took him into custody. He is free on a $2,500 cash bond.

Brawling Bros arrested after Broadway tussle — Travis Santos & Di’on King

20-year-old Di’on Lovell King of Nashville, and 32-year-old Travis Chas Santos, of Oakley, California, brawled on Broadway in September. Both parties were arrested by Metro Nashville Police. While it was unsure who started the initial argument, King claims Santos “walked up on him”. Officers had to pull Santos off of King. Both were charged with disorderly conduct. Neither party sought assault charges on the other.

Tam Nguyen used storage pods to ship hundreds of pounds of marijuana into Nashville to sell

Tam Nguyen, 42, took possession of a storage pod that was delivered to him at 6350 Nolensville Poke. Inside that pod was 215 pounds of marijuana in boxes. A search of his Ashmore Drive home revealed an additional 230 pounds of marijuana, $39,502 in cash, and $10,000 in money orders.
