Musician Luke Matthew Skeldon charged with DUI after leaving Flamingo Cocktail Club

Police say 28-year-old Luke Matthew Skeldon was speeding as he drove past officers on Nolensville Pike at 3:08 a.m. Saturday, when he was paced at 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. When a traffic stop was initiated, he was slow to pull into a parking lot and appeared extremely intoxicated during the interaction. Skeldon stated he was leaving the Flamingo Cocktail Club, where he had three mixed drinks before driving. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Skeldon was given a breathalyzer and taken into custody. The warrant details a 0.70 BAC, which MNPD confirmed was a typo, but they did not provide the actual BAC prior to publication.

East Nashville woman achieves highest BAC ever reported on Scoop: Nashville — Emily Warren

A concerned citizen observed 31-year-old Emily Warren drunk driving while nearly passed out near the intersection of N 11th St and Gallatin Ave in East Nashville. They convinced her to pull to the side of the road and took the keys from her ignition while waiting on police to arrive. Officers made contact with the woman, who told them she had one “tiki drink.” She was unable to complete field sobriety tests due to her level of intoxication. Once at booking, she blew a 0.372% BAC on a breathalyzer test — more than four times the legal limit. A range of 0.35% to 0.40% generally represents potentially fatal alcohol poisoning. 0.40% is the accepted lethal dose for about 50% of adult humans.

Florida Man charged with DUI on way to a concert in Nashville — Stephen Reck arrested

38-year-old Stephen Reck had a flat tire and pulled onto the side of the interstate — and a short time later a TDOT assistance vehicle arrived to help the stranded motorist. While helping the citizen, the TDOT employee noticed Reck was visibly intoxicated and notified police. He attempted to flee the scene multiple times, resulting in the other driver removing the keys from Coolridge’s possession. 37-year-old musician Joel Bauman, of The Band Royale, told police he had “two beers” at a friend’s house prior to them finding him asleep behind the wheel of his car on West End on February 20th. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Bauman would blow a 0.182% BAC on the breathalyzer. He assured officers he had nothing on him she shouldn’t have as he was being taken to jail, however, once at booking officers located a small 0.2 gram baggie of what appeared to be cocaine in his wallet, resulting in an additional felony charge.

DUI: Nashville Content Creator ‘Funsize Velen’ blows double BAC limit — Velen Lemus arrested

24-year-old Velen Lemus, who is a Nasvhille area content creator for various platforms, including her ‘Funsize Velen’ persona, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail earlier this month, charged with DUI – driving under the influence. Police say she was speeding and driving erratically, and eventually ran a red light in Goodlettsville, where a traffic stop was conducted. She told police she was on her way home to Ashland City, but wasn’t sure where she was at, or a correct way to get to her destination. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and blew a 0.163 BAC on the breathalyzer, more than twice the legal limit in Tennessee. Officers also found she had a prior DUI in 2019 in Rutherford County and is required to have an alcohol interlock device on her vehicle, which she did not have. She was charged with DUI 2nd offense and is free on pre-trial release.

37-year-old Hoan Bui told police he had 2-3 beers and a shot of liquor in downtown Nashville before crashing his vehicle early Saturday morning. A witness observed him driving the wrong way on Bell Road just before the crash.
