Police say 43-year-old Michael Wayne Evans set fire to three port-a-potties in downtown Nashville Thursday, burning them to the ground, and then jumped in front of a WeGo transit bus, somewhat unsuccessfully. He was able to kick and punch the bus windows, causing substantial damage.

Nashville man attempts suicide by setting his apartment on fire over “girl problems”
49-year-old Jamison Mcintyre was charged with aggravated arson after police say he set fire to his apartment knowing it was occupied, barricaded himself inside, and said he was trying to commit suicide because of girl problems.

Man covers girlfriend with Maple syrup; lights house on fire
EAST NASHVILLE: Metro Police say Michael Worthan covered his girlfriend with Maple syrup while she was on their bed, tossing it around, screaming, and covering her with it. Later that evening, he returned and set the East Nashville home on fire.

Nashville Fire Department Arson Investigators arrested Catherine Parker, 43 for starting a fire inside her Madison apartment on April 10, 2019. Just before 6:00 pm Catherine Parker called 911 to report a fire in her apartment in the Hickory Chase Apartment Complex, located at 600 Heritage Drive. There were two cats inside the apartment at the time of the fire. Fire personnel used animal oxygen mask kits to revive the two pet cats.
