Cameron Tate charged in assault of girlfriend in Antioch

Metro Nashville Police were dispatched to screams coming from an apartment on Hickory Club Drive on Monday afternoon, and as they knocked on the door, Chelsea Raymond opened it stating “thank god!” and ran from the apartment. She had obvious injuries to her face, cuts on her knuckles on both hands, and redness and swelling on her leg, in addition to small cuts under her jaw and on her neck. She states she lives there with her boyfriend/father of her child, 23-year-old Cameron Tate. She says Tate was attempting to apologize after she found videos of other females on his phone, however she was ending the relationship so he demanded she provide a notarized statement about their custody agreement if they were breaking up. She says he attempted to take the child from her and pushed her down on the bed. She says he then wrapped a pillow case around his hand to avoid leaving more bruises as he assaulted her.

Ari Shukri jailed after sending ex-wife harassing text messages

Nazdar Taher says her ex-husband, 23-year-old Ari Shukri, continues to harass her via text messages despite bond conditions from an order of protection violation which state he isn’t to have any contact with her. On June 24th he sent over ten consecutive messages each of which called her derogatory names such as “h*e” and “sl-t” causing her to be in fear and in emotional distress.

Dr. Andrew Gong free on $1K bond after skipping court & ignoring assault indictment

45-year-old Dr. Andrew Aaron Gong was jailed this week after not showing up for an October court date and a bench warrant being issued for his arrest. The doctor’s troubles started in November of 2020 when he was using a delivery service for groceries. When the gig worker, Timothy Hines appeared at his door without wearing a mask or gloves, Dr. Andrew Gong reportedly became upset and a verbal argument quickly escalated when Hines says Gong punched him in the face, causing a laceration to his lower lip which was documented by police. Gong fought the misdemeanor citation and the case was bound over to the Grand Jury who indicted him on the assault charge in September of 2021. When he failed to appear for arraignment in October a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Sammie Deas charged after whipping boyfriend with phone charger; punching him in face

19-year-old Sammie Deas is charged with the domestic assault of his boyfriend, Jantoine Polk, who witnesses say he whipped with a phone charger and punched in the face. Officers arrived at the Antioch apartment Thursday, where Polk says the argument began as he was letting a friend use Sammie’s phone charger. This upset Sammie, who whipped the victim twice with the cord of the phone charger, leaving multiple injuries to his chest. Sammie then came from behind to strangle him until he was unable to breathe. He then reportedly punched Polk in the face 4-5 times as he attempted to escape the apartment.

DUI: Tumani Sissoko crashed after leaving Lavo Lounge, wasn’t found for 4 hours

Metro Nashville Police say 29-year-old Tumani Sissoko left the Lavo Lounge just before 3 a.m. Saturday, drove his vehicle off the side of I-24 less than a mile away, and crashed in the area behind Metroplex Drive — where he lay injured until 7:40 a.m. when first responders were alerted to the overnight accident. Police say in those hours after the crash he climbed into the passenger seat, due to the driver’s area being so badly damaged. He stated he wasn’t driving, but the injuries matched the driver’s seat, and that’s where his blood was located. He was charged with DUI.

Child Abuse: Crystal Maxim-Jones charged with punching daughter in face 8-10 times in fight about food

35-year-old Crystal Maxim-Jones was jailed this week, charged with child abuse. Metro Nashville Police responded to Bishopsgate Road in Antioch, where witnesses reported Maxim-Jones and her 15-year-old daughter were having an argument over “food items”. She reportedly struck the child 8-10 times with a closed fist, impacting her head and face. Officers documented cuts on the child’s face and forehead.

David Crow charged after dragging another man inside his home, taking his phone, assaulting him

36-year-old David Crow is charged with the domestic assault of Chris Platt after neighbors reported they observed Crow drag Platt back inside the residence after he had escaped out of the back door to scream for the neighbors to call 911. The couple had been in an argument that got heated, and Crow took Platt’s phone and refused to let him leave the residence. Once he got Platt back inside, he dragged him across the floor back to the living room but claimed it was “for his own well-being.” Officers documented a golf ball sized known and cuts on the victim’s forehead and bruising and cuts on his arm.

Antioch: Taqueria El Millon reused pepper salad already served to another customer, per Health Dept

The Tennessee Department of Health conducted a routine inspection of Taqueria El Millon #3 at 5325 Mt. View Road in Antioch on Thursday. Among the violations that earned the restaurant a score of 65 on the inspection: An employee reused leftover pepper salad that wasn’t eaten by a customer and served it to another. Employees were also washing their hands using only water, no soap.

Andreas Cauley: “I waited for her to get back in the car before I hit her”

56-year-old Andreas Cauley told police he waiting until his girlfriend, Kellie Gullage, got back into the car before he assaulted her. They were at his workplace at the Antioch Sam’s Club on May 19th having an argument, and he was upset that she had caused a scene where he was employed. He admits to the assault, during which he slapped and struck her on both sides of her face. She drove to the South Precinct to report the incident after it occurred.

Man strangles boyfriend; breaks turn-signal & wiper levers from steering column of his car — Nyitrell Debardelaben

23-year-old Nyitrell Debardelaben was driving on Gallatin Pike when he got into an argument with his lover, Jordan Stone. Nyitrell, who goes by the nickname ‘Moo Moo’ on social media, stopped the car and went into a business. When he came back outside, Jordan says Nyitrell reached through the passenger-side window, grabbed his shirt, clawed at his face, and strangled him with one of his hands. As Jordan called 911, Nyitrell returned to the driver’s side of the vehicle and broke off the levers from the steering column that operated the turn signals and the windshield wipers. Police arrived and documented bruising and cuts on the victim’s neck and face.

Dedricka Norris told MNPD officers to “suck her d*-k”; offered to “knock them out” in battle

24-year-old Dedricka Norris was causing a scene outside her girlfriend’s Briarwick Drive home on May 4th, yelling and screaming for her girlfriend to come outside. Despite multiple friends and family attempting to escort her away and de-escalate the situation, she was not going quietly. When police arrived and decided she would not leave on her own, they directed her to place her hands behind her back, to which she replied: “suck my d*-k!”

As officers reached for her arm, she pulled back, assumed a fighting stance, and screamed she would “knock you out!” to one officer. Officers presented a taser in hopes she would comply, however, she did not, and they decided to wrap her arms and take her to the ground. While on the ground, Norris attempted to bite the officers. Once in cuffs and while in the process of helping her to her feet, she swung her legs, striking officers in their upper legs. Finally, she was placed in a patrol car, where officers claim she smashed her own head against the partition several times, injuring herself. She could not be buckled in, due to fear of being bitten.

Everyone goes to jail: Carlandro Branch, Destinee Turnipseed, & Maicole Shelton

Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on April 25th to find that 22-year-old Carlandro Branch had taken the phones of both 20-year-old Maicole Shelton and the mother of this child, 20-year-old Destinee Turnipseed, as they attempted to call the police to report that Branch had pulled her hair when during a child custody exchange. As he fled with their phones, Maicole Shelton grabbed a baseball bat and chased Carlandro Branch. The mother of the child, Destinee Turnipseed, also busted out two windows at the residence. She says she broke the first one in an attempt to get someone’s attention and the second one in anger. Everyone went to jail and bonded right out… the end.

German Zepeda says he only smoked “one blunt” prior to DUI crash

20-year-old German Zepeda was driving in Antioch when was driving on the wrong side of the road and crashed head-on into another vehicle. His two juvenile passengers, ages 14 & 17, both sustained injuries. He initially claimed his brakes were faulty, causing the crash, however, police noticed his eyes were extremely watery and he was slow to respond to commands and answer questions. Zepeda denied drinking, however, admitted to smoking one marijuana-filled blunt, approximately ten minutes prior to driving.

Emanuel Pedreira Valdes charged in brutal beating — “I should have stopped. I didn’t mean to hurt her”.

32-year-old Emanuel Pedreira Valdes is charged with the brutal beating of his girlfriend, Cassandra Neal, inside their Antioch apartment. He beat her until she vomited, and strangled her until she couldn’t breathe. The assault began when he accused her of cheating and spread from an upstairs bathroom to every room in the home. He pushed her hit her, slapped her bit her, strangled her twice, punched her in the face, and threatened to kill her as he strangled her again. Police documented redness to her face, cuts, bruising, red marks, and swelling. In a statement to police, Pedreira Valdes said “I should have stopped. I didn’t mean to hurt her”.

Tykylan Walker charged with strangling girlfriend during lunch break & calmly returning to work after

Itavia Drake says her boyfriend, 29-year-old Tykylan Walker, came home agitated during his lunch break and accused her of cheating on him. She says he pushed her with his shoulder and told her to get away from their child, before pushing her to the ground and strangling her with both his hands around her neck until she was unable to breathe. He then reportedly threatened to kill her as he left the apartment to return to work. Police documents multiple injuries on the victim and took out warrants for Walker, who was taken into custody just a few hours later.

Joe Nathan Bridges charged in assault / strangulation of girlfriend in Antioch

Ariel Wright says her boyfriend, 24-year-old Joe Nathan Bridges, strangled her after she found a phone in his possession that she wasn’t familiar with and began asking him questions about it. She says he then tossed her to the ground and punched her in the face multiple times and took her phone to prevent her from calling 911, covered her mouth so no one could hear her screaming, and then physically prevented her from leaving the home. Once officers located the victim, she had blood running from her nose and face and had multiple injuries. Bridges is free on a $12,000 bond.

Ramona Lavender: racial slurs, spit, & urine — oh, what a night! #Arrested

Police say 26-year-old Ramona Lavender and her sister were coming home from a bar when they were involved in a crash in Antioch Friday night. She was yelling and screaming at her sibling when police arrived and then turned her outrage toward officers as they asked questions related to the investigation. She then threatened to shoot the other involved driver, Justin Mathias, and shoot up his house. Once in the rear of a patrol car, she screamed racial slurs at officers, covered the car in her spit, and tried to kick out the windows. Once at booking, she spits on several officers, one of them directly in the face, then stated she had to use the restroom, at which point she pulled her pants down and urinated across the seats in the booking area.

Lukas Mansfield films “unflattering video” of lover, refuses to delete it

Kassie Webber says her boyfriend and father of her children, 33-year-old Lukas Mansfield, recorded an “unflattering video” of her while she was ill and she demanded that he erase it from his phone. When he refused an argument escalated and she gathered the children, put them in the vehicle, and prepared to leave. She says Mansfield began banging on the car window and when she unlocked the door he pulled her out and knocked her down onto the concrete driveway. She says he then dragged her by her sweatshirt and hair. Police documented her injuries.

Lawrence Rush charged in strangulation of wife after she came home from night of drinking

Vikki Rush says she returned home after being out drinking and found the door was locked, causing her to have to knock until her husband, 61-year-old Lawrence Rush, let her inside. As she moved past him, her purse reportedly hit her husband, and she says he pushed her in response, starting a physical altercation. Vikki told police her husband eventually pushed her to the ground and strangled her, leaving scratch marks on her neck. During the struggle, he reportedly grabbed her by the hair and hit both her head and nose on the floor, which was swollen and had some bleeding.

Oscar Garcia says wife bashed her own head into a tree, despite witnesses watching him punch her

Police say 31-year-old Oscar Garcia told his wife, Julia Hernandez, he was going to drive to Atlanta, and she told him he should not because he was drunk. Unhappy with her response, Garcia reportedly pushed her multiple times and asked to use her phone, as he had broken his. When she refused to provide her phone, he then landed two punches to her face with his fists before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. He returned to the residence while police were taking the incident report and claimed his wife bashed her own head into a tree, despite there being multiple witnesses to the assault.

Derrick McNair charged in theft of items from man’s home, co-defendant still at-large

Police say 21-year-old Derrick McNair and Sydney Bell stole $9,610 worth of items from the home of Jose Gonzalez after Gonzalez had let Bell stay there for a few days when he had nowhere else to stay. After an argument ensued about her not cleaning up after herself, Jose went to work, only to return later to find multiple items missing from his home. A neighbor recognized McNair and Bell, and confronted them about taking the items from the home, but was unable to stop them. Warrants were issued from their arrest, and McNair was booked into custody this week.
