TSU dorm room tussle takes two lovers to jail — Juelle Walker & London Hutchings

TSU Police say they couldn’t determine who was the primary aggressor in a Rudolph Hall assault, so they took both parties to jail. Current TSU student, 20-year-old Juelle Rinae Walker, and her boyfriend and former TSU student, 21-year-old London Hutchings, were bother involved in a fight that caught the attention of 6th Floor RA Courtney Smalls. Hutchings was reportedly “in a jealous rage” because Walker went swimming without him. She says he pushed her and cornered her, and she sustained a cut to her hand and a bruise on her shoulder. He says she was throwing things at him and he was simply defending himself from further injury, as he sustained multiple scratches on his chest, neck, and wrist. TSU Police Officer Christopher Brooks says the judge can sort it out.

Andrew Murphey punched a woman in the face; she hit him back with a glass vase

Metro Nashville Police observed a fight on Broadway in front of The Stage, and as they attempted to intervene, 30-year-old Andrew Murphy remained irate and refused to calm down. Police say he was incredibly drunk and bleeding heavily from an injury he received when he punched a woman who then struck him in self-defense with a large glass vase she was carrying. As he was being taken into custody he fought and fled, and after a brief foot chase was cuffed after another struggle and several more officers had to assist in his apprehension. Patrons & staff of The Stage on Broadway told police Murphy was kicked out of the venue for disturbing others, and he had punched at least two patrons without provocation. During a search of Murphy, police found a small plastic baggy with a clear crystal substance and glass pipe inside.

Anthony Woods deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative (EDI) Thursday night observed 30-year-old Anthony Woods trying to fight with another downtown patron near 4th & Broadway. After the other party dispersed, Woods approached officers to ask for directions to another venue, but was already so intoxicated he could not walk and could barely stand upright without assistance. Due to his extreme level of intoxication and with no one to care for him, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Tourist David Gene tosses drink & throws a punch at bouncer; taken to the ground

Sam Gehrts was working security at a downtown bar Thursday when he encountered 32-year-old David Gene, who he says began to curse at him, stating “Fuck You” and walking away. As Gene moved down the steps and onto the landing between the 2nd and 3rd floors, he again started a verbal altercation and threw a liquor drink at Gehrts and attempted to provoke him into fighting. After throwing a punch at Gehrts, Gene was taken to the ground and placed in cuffs until MNPD Officers arrived to take him into custody for the assault.

Tyler Glass admits to using meth before crashing, fleeing, passing out in intersection

29-year-old Tyler Glass says he used meth one hour before a series of car crashes in South Nashville. On Thursday, Nashville Fire initially responded to a male passed out in a VW Jetta on nearby Clayton Street. EMS District Chief Chad Gilly says as they attempted to check on the man, later identified as Glass, he suddenly drove off from the scene and they found him again, passed out at the intersection of Vaulx Lane and Gale Lane, where Officer Stratton now attempted to speak with him. He refused to exit the vehicle, and would only repeat “I’m hot” when asked questions. He was eventually coaxed out of the vehicle and taken into custody, where he continued to nod off in the back of a patrol car. When asked basic questions he would simply stare forward. Inside a “colorful bag” in the vehicle, officers found snort straws, a small plunger, and crystal methamphetamine.

Ashley Hanes charged after drunken night at Double E Bar & Grill

Employees at the Double E Bar & Grill say 31-year-old Ashley Revel-Hanes was already heavily intoxicated when she appeared at the bar, where she stayed for several hours. At some point in the evening, she began harassing a tow truck driver who was assisting another patron in the parking lot. When police arrived, the tow truck driver was gone, however, employees stated she was still causing a disturbance. She had arranged for a friend to pick her up, but when they never showed up, Hanes eventually laid down on the sidewalk by the street and attempted to hitchhike her way home. Due to her level of intoxication, she was given a free ride… to jail.

Too drunk for Percy Priest Lake: Lucille Gonyea & Dominic Napolitan arrested on jet ski

TWRA Officers observed 42-year-old Lucille Gonyea & 58-year-old Dominic Napolitan on a jet ski near Hamilton Creek while visibly intoxicated. Dominic was operating the vessel with a half-worn life jacket while holding a styrofoam cup he attempted to hide when the officer approached. Both parties reportedly reeked of alcohol, and Dominic performed poorly on field sobriety tests. TWRA Officer Joshua Landrum took both parties into custody.

Alex Collier charged with sexual battery & statutory rape of 16-year-old in Dairy Queen bathroom

30-year-old Alex Collier confessed to detectives he had sex with a 16-year-old employee when he was a manager at the Bellevue Dairy Queen on Hwy 70 S. The sex occurred at least 15 times in the men’s restroom of the Dairy Queen, and at least once in the back hallway of the restaurant. Additional sex happened in the store’s parking lot, the PDK parking lot, the Staples parking lot, and at his grandmother’s residence. Court records show the two had “many conversations about their age difference” over the course of the relationship.

Unhoused man cons The Hermitage Hotel Bar out of $500 in food and drinks — Ronald Hutt

58-year-old Ronald Hutt stopped by The Hermitage Hotel in downtown Nashville on several days this week, eating and drinking at the swanky bar, telling the staff to just charge it to his 5th-floor room each time. The scam *almost* worked out for him, however, on Wednesday hotel staff observed Hutt, who is unhoused, “making a mess” in one of the hotel’s public restrooms. At that point, his story was questioned, and he admitted that he was not a guest of the hotel, nor knew anyone there, and it was a con to eat and drink at the hotel bar. After a brief chase, hotel management stopped him on the sidewalk as he attempted to flee, and police arrived shortly after. In total, he charged $499.44 in food and beverages to a room without authorization.

Sammie Deas charged after whipping boyfriend with phone charger; punching him in face

19-year-old Sammie Deas is charged with the domestic assault of his boyfriend, Jantoine Polk, who witnesses say he whipped with a phone charger and punched in the face. Officers arrived at the Antioch apartment Thursday, where Polk says the argument began as he was letting a friend use Sammie’s phone charger. This upset Sammie, who whipped the victim twice with the cord of the phone charger, leaving multiple injuries to his chest. Sammie then came from behind to strangle him until he was unable to breathe. He then reportedly punched Polk in the face 4-5 times as he attempted to escape the apartment.

Late Thursday night, several witnesses observed 37-year-old accountant Kyle Meek crash into a yard and fence in a residential area. They reportedly overhead Meed saying he needed to get out of the area “before the cops arrived”, and was openly admitting he was drinking alcohol prior to driving. He was still on scene when officers arrived and stated he was attempting to drive to his girlfriend’s house for a camping trip when he “missed a curve” and didn’t remember anything after that. John Freeman claims parked unoccupied car pulled out in front of him, causing crash on Acklen Ave

45-year-old John Freeman Jr. was involved in an automobile crash on Acklen Ave on June 12th and when officers responded they smelled alcohol coming from and noticed several signs of intoxication, so they requested he perform field sobriety tests. Freeman performed poorly on those tasks and asked the officer which language he’d like to hear while performing the tests. Freeman claims he was just driving when a car pulled out in front of him, however, multiple witnesses confirmed all other vehicles were parked in front of a home when he crashed into them. Freeman had two bottles of vodka on him at the time of his arrest.

Measia Lasha Johnson brandishes handgun & pours Kool-Aid in gas tank of party bus in downtown Nashville

Police say 28-year-old Measia Lasha Johnson entered a downtown Nashville stripper party bus on May 20th near the intersection of 1st Ave S. & Broadway, brandishing a handgun and threatening to shoot. She used the pistol to bust out a TV screen at the front of the strip club on wheels and then exited the bus, firing a live round into the air. She then took a bottle of Kool-Aid and poured it into the gas tank of the party bus. One witness states they overheard the male victim tell Johnsonson “give me back my gun”. One person reports hearing a gunshot, but most witnesses would not confirm hearing it. The three victims of the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon are identified as Keia Lopez, William Miller, and Ednia Sharks (diadadoll).

Christopher Carothers admits to using heroin prior to crashing into another vehicle

Police say 47-year-old Christopher Carothers was one block away from his home when he drove his white Lexus into the other lane of travel and collided with another vehicle, injuring two people. Officer founds Carothers sitting on a sidewalk, shaking with pinpoint pupils when they arrived. His sentences were incoherent and he continuously nodded off after admitting he had shot up with heroin shortly before the crash. Police located 30 Oxycodone pills and a dollar bill containing heroin inside the vehicle. After a warrant was granted for his blood, he was transported to Metro General before being booked into jail.

Alexander Schiele charged with assault of girlfriend inside elevator

26-year-old Alexander Schiele was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant charging him with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Quinn Walker. Security at the Riverhouse apartments received a noise complaint about their apartment at just after 1 a.m. on May 18th which stated the couple was arguing loudly. They did not answer the door for the courtesy officer, however, security footage was reviewed the following day and it showed Schiele and Walker in an argument as they are entering the elevator at 1:02 a.m. He then puts his hands across the elevator, blocking Quinn from exiting as the argument continues. He then reportedly walks toward her aggressively as she is seen on the video putting her hands up to block him. He continues forward while aggressively backing her into the elevator wall.

Brian Marsh pulls gun on his grandmother & demands money to pay for a lawyer

21-year-old Brian Marsh was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant charging him with the felony aggravated assault of his grandmother with a deadly weapon. The warrant states that two days after Christmas, Brian Marsh showed up at the home of his grandmother, Rebecca Marsh, while he was high on drugs and brandishing a pistol which he waved and pointed at her. She pushed the gun out of her way and told him to go on, at which time he grabbed her arms and said “I know you have money, you’re just not giving it to me”. The grandmother told detectives he was seeking money in order to pay for a criminal defense lawyer for an arrest in Rutherford County on drug and gun charges.

Tourist Brendan Kirby deemed too drunk for CMA Fest weekend in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative during CMA Fest this weekend responded to 211 Broadway in the early hours of Sunday morning to find 32-year-old Brendan Kirby laying behind a kiosk on the ground. Officers attempted to check on his welfare, and he was found to be extremely intoxicated and unable to care for himself in the middle of downtown Nashville. Kirby was unable to stand on his own two feet without assistance and was transported to booking to be charged with public intoxication.

Drug dealer & wannabe rapper Jordan Brownlee caught after crash in East Nashville #PreTrialRelease

20-year-old Jordan Brownlee, who is no better at rapping than he is at driving, was involved in an automobile crash in East Nashville that required him to be transported to the hospital. First responders relayed to police that he was combative with medics, had a loaded firearm, and had a head injury. Officers arrived on the scene after the medics and observed a Glock handgun with an extended magazine on the floorboard of the driver’s side of the crashed vehicle. During an inventory search of the vehicle while Brownlee was being transported to the hospital, officers located more drugs, multiple cell phones, a clear container attachment to a blender with a white powdery substance inside, multiple digital scales, cocaine, and U.S. currency. As the handgun wasn’t actually found in his possession, there were no gun charges filed in this case at this time.

Kwaku Owoo goes berserk after wifi isn’t working in his apartment — coffee mug assault

34-year-old Kwaku Akuffo Owoo is charged with assault after he became upset that the wifi at his apartment complex wasn’t working as he expected and confronted the apartment office staff about the issue. He began to yell at Davis Farish before taking the coffee mug from the victim’s hand and hitting him on the head with it. The victim pushed the mug away and it fell to the floor and shattered. Owoo then picked up a piece of the shattered mug and pointed it at the victim’s throat while attempting to tackle him. Police arrived and interviewed Owoo, who stated “You can speak to my lawyer on Monday.”

Tourist John Taggart admits to slapping his girlfriend during assault at Opryland Hotel in Nashville

At 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Metro Nashville Police responded to the Opryland Hotel after Brooke Opel reported her boyfriend, 40-year-old John Taggart, had assaulted her and was attempting to take the keys to her vehicle. When officers interviewed Taggart, he admitted that he slapped Brooke in the face during the argument. Brooke further told police the couple had been out drinking in downtown Nashville, and when they returned to the hotel John became “belligerent” and backhanded her in the face multiple times. Officers documented multiple injuries on the victim’s face and took Taggart into custody.
