Dustin Brown too drunk for Nudie’s Honky Tonk; resists arrest & damages a taser in downtown Nashville

34-year-old Dustin Brown was kicked out of Nudie’s Honkey Tonk on Friday but soon returned to the venue and sat in the open window of the location, where he continued to cause issues with staff. He refused to leave a second time and was physically removed from the property and taken to the ground by security, where he received some facial abrasions, which were treated by medics. Police took him into custody for public intoxication and criminal trespass. While attempting to place him into custody and conduct a search, Brown repeatedly pulled away from officers and refused to get into the transport car. While one officer was holding his feed to place him into the car, Brown kicked his taser and broke the battery portion of the device.

Musician Luke Matthew Skeldon charged with DUI after leaving Flamingo Cocktail Club

Police say 28-year-old Luke Matthew Skeldon was speeding as he drove past officers on Nolensville Pike at 3:08 a.m. Saturday, when he was paced at 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. When a traffic stop was initiated, he was slow to pull into a parking lot and appeared extremely intoxicated during the interaction. Skeldon stated he was leaving the Flamingo Cocktail Club, where he had three mixed drinks before driving. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Skeldon was given a breathalyzer and taken into custody. The warrant details a 0.70 BAC, which MNPD confirmed was a typo, but they did not provide the actual BAC prior to publication.

Connor Cunningham pumps gas while friend overdoses, found with Xanax & heroin

19-year-old Connor Cunningham was at the gas pump at a Murfreesboro Pike gas station when an officer observed his front seat passenger appear to be overdosing with their head tilted back and eyes rolling backward. Concerned for their well-being, the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, Cunningham exited the parking lot, drove on the street, and pulled back into the parking lot while going very slow and attempting to wake the overdosing passenger while exchanging an item hand to hand. As medical arrived to assist, the passenger admitted they were both under the influence of several Xanax bars at the time. A vehicle search revealed 12 grams of a crystal substance in three baggies, believed to be methamphetamine, and a clear baggy with 2 grams of a tan substance believed to be heroin.

Ja’Corious Hudson charged after fight outside Lucky Bastard Saloon in downtown Nashville

Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville Friday night observed 19-year-old Ja’Corious Hudson outside of Lucky Bastard Saloon yelling and pushing at another individual in an attempt to instigate a fight. As officers approached and advised him to move along, Hudson continued to push the other individual. He was taken into custody and pulled away from officers during the arrest, earning him a resisting charge in addition to disorderly conduct.

Cameron Mowrer resists arrests & booking after causing disturbance in downtown Nashville

Just after 1:30 a.m. Friday, officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville observed 26-year-old Cameron Mowrer just outside 404 Broadway, where he was refusing to leave the location, pushing the security staff, and appeared intoxicated. After he continued to refuse to leave, he was taken into custody for public intoxication but refused to be seated in the transport car. Several officers placed him into the vehicle, and he was transported to booking where he refused to exit and had to be removed from the vehicle by multiple officers. He was then forced off the floor while still resisting, and taken inside to booking.

Metro Nashville Police say 40-year-old Nicholas Vitale has been sending threats to his newly ex-girlfriend, Kimberly Mezouar, after she told him she was ending the relationship and could not be with him anymore. He reportedly was staying around her apartment complex while sending text messages such as “U took my heart I take your family” and then telling her he wanted to put a board in front of her face with a nail and hammer it in. He continued to send photos of her children.

Nashville Police Officer held in a Mexican jail after bringing a handgun into the country

BREAKING: Metro Nashville Police Officer Lemandries ‘LD’ Deshun Hawes is currently being held in a jail in Mexico after bringing a handgun into the country on July 9th. He reportedly declared the personally owned pistol with the airline, however, it is still a federal crime to bring any handgun or ammunition into the country, with a standard sentence of 5 years imprisonment if found guilty. Lemandries is scheduled to have a hearing in Mexico today. Hawes was scheduled to be married on July 8th, and was arrested on the evening of July 9th in Cancun as he landed at the airport to celebrate his honeymoon with Khristian Hawes. 43-year-old Jessica Leatherwood was found passed out in the bathroom of Honky Tonk Central on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning. As Metro Nashville Police Officers arrived to check on her, she seemed very intoxicated and confused. She says she was at the bar with her husband, and he left her there. When officers attempted to assist her in getting back to her hotel, she became verbally aggressive and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Kay Loni Taylor yells racial slurs at hotel staff who want her removed from sleeping on a bench at 2 AM

Employees at the Grand Hyatt Nashville contacted police just before 2 a.m. Sunday about 32-year-old Kay Loni Taylor, who was sleeping on a bench near the lobby at 1000 Broadway in downtown Nashville. At some point, hotel staff had asked her to leave the bench and she became belligerent and attempted to fight them. The hotel staff were not about that life and say Taylor called them racial slurs and spit on them during an altercation. Police also observed her yelling racial slurs and spitting and determined her to be highly intoxicated, and transported her to booking.

Sultan Al Shareef booted out of Jason Aldean’s, busts out of DCSO booking

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville observed 21-year-old Sultan Nassir Al Shareef extremely intoxicated and disorderly in front of Jason Aldean’s Bar in the early hours of Sunday morning. Al Shareef was fighting with security and had his legs wrapped around the security ropes. He pushed and shoved and refused to be cuffed by officers who were attempting to detain him. Eventually, he was placed in the back of a patrol vehicle but was too intoxicated to provide any information about himself. A friend who was nearby provided Shareef’s name and phone number. As he was being brought inside to booking, Al Shareef attempted to run out and jumped over multiple DCSO guards to get out of the Sally port. He was eventually overpowered and processed.

Brighthouse resident Erica Brunner charged in assault of treatment center staff

34-year-old Erica Brunner, a resident of the Brightquest Residential Treatment Facility in Nashville, was being driven to a doctor’s appointment by a staff member when a “miscommunication” occurred, and Brunner refused to get out of the van when they arrived at the location. They returned back to the Brightquest residential facility, where Brunner reportedly attacked a staff member, Hannah Rose, by grabbing her hair, throwing her to the ground, and assaulting her. Rose says Brunner then picked up two coffee mugs and threw them at her and another staff member.

Mariah Danielle Alderman charged with public intoxication after refusing police offers to take her home

Metro Police say they “attempted for several minutes to bring 26-year-old Mariah Danielle Alderman home or remand care of her to a responsible adult, but she was uncooperative with police.” Officers initially encountered her as they were in the area of Mother’s Ruin on 6th Ave North when they were flagged down by bar security, who stated she was unruly, extremely drunk and refusing to leave. Jhataun Jones charged with assault of girlfriend; grabs her & demands keys to her vehicle

24-year-old Jhataun Jones was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant from April, charging him with domestic assault. He was reportedly drunk, along with his girlfriend of four years, April Renner, when he asked her to give him a ride home. As she had also been drinking, she refused. He then asked her grandmother, Ruth Renner, for a ride, and she also refused. His girlfriend says he then forcibly grabbed her shoulders and demanded the keys to her vehicle, placing her in fear. He grabbed the keys and fled the scene. A warrant was signed, charging him with domestic assault.

Akeeyla Harris sacks officers in the groin after she’s trespassed from a Nashville Church

The Restoration Church at 4809 Gallatin Pike asked police to remove a sleeping woman, 43-year-old Akeeyla Harris, from their property and trespass her so she could not return. Akeelya Harris then swung a grocery bag containing food items and two water bottles into Officer Hollingworth, sacking him squarely in the groin. Nashville Musician Rick Patoray charged with DUI after night of drinking at The Cobra in East Nashville

39-year-old Rick Patoray told police he drank five beers at Cobra, along with taking prescribed medication, before being pulled over for a traffic stop when he made an extremely wide right turn and went into the center lane, and then took nearly a half-mile to stop with blue lights activated behind him the entire time. Officers say he smelled of alcohol and was too inebriated even to attempt field sobriety tests. When asked to submit to a chemical or breath test, he would only state that he wanted a lawyer. Officers obtained a warrant for his blood which was drawn at Metro General Hospital prior to booking.

Tourist Richard Long kicked out of Gaylord Opryland Hotel after armed drunken disturbance

46-year-old tourist Richard Long, from Tempe, AZ, was asked to leave his hotel, the Gaylord Opryland Resort, after threatening staff and causing a disturbance. Metro Nashville Police arrived and observed that Long was extremely intoxicated, and security reported they had told the guest he would have to leave the property due to him making direct threats to staff, which Long said he wouldn’t do since he was a paying guest. Officers explained the trespassing law to him, yet he continued to cause a disturbance at the resort hotel. He was eventually taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and possession of a handgun while under the influence, as a Glock was located on his right hip and located during a search incident to arrest.

Lauren Duke-Powers kicks an officer in his knee, and attempts to bite his thigh during struggle

Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on Muphy Road and as they were investigating, one of the involved parties, 23-year-old Lauren Duke-Powers, returned to the scene. As they began to interview her near the front walkway to the home, it became apparent she was extremely intoxicated, with her being unable to stand without swaying, and slurring her speech. She continued to curse and yell at the other involved parties. Officers advised her she was being detained while the domestic call was investigated, at which time she walked away toward the home and resisted when officers attempted to grab her arms to keep her away from the other parties. She then kicked Officer Meskers in his right knee, and as they took her to the ground in the prone position, she attempted to bite Officer Meskers’ right thigh.

Metro Nashville Police say 25-year-old Makayla Dodge got into an argument with her roommate, Alexander Leavitt, over a GrubHub order. She reportedly told him to leave the residence and threw his pizza at him. He attempted to push her out of his room, but she was able to use her body to prevent the door from closing and pulled his hair in an effort to come back into his room. She then grabbed a pair of scissors and chased him into another room while she attempted to stab him with the scissors. He was able to disarm her and throw the scissors outside. She did manage to land several punches to his face during the struggle, leaving him bruised and swollen.

Man doing donuts in parking lot asks cop if his driving was any good — Nicholas Ruffino

Goodlettsville Police say 28-year-old Nicholas Ruffino was driving his gray Nissan Rogue in the parking lot of Rivergate Mall Thursday evening. Officer Thomas Eisenbraun says he observed Ruffino doing donuts in the parking lot, and abruptly stopped when he noticed the patrol car. Ruffino reportedly jumped out of his vehicle and stated he was just “letting off some steam” before asking the officer if his driving “was any good?” Mall security stated he had been driving around vehicles and light poles in the parking lot. Ruffino immediately took a plea at his hearing the next morning, agreeing to pay the $106 in court costs, and the case was dismissed.

Jacob Romero charged with DUI while on way to buy marijuana

Police responded to a crash with injuries just after 5 a.m. Thursday on Granada Ave and made contact with the driver, 28-year-old Jacob Romero. Romero’s vehicle had driven over a guard rail and collided with a chain-link fence at a business, where it eventually came to rest into a tree. Romero stated that he intentionally drove off the roadway to meet someone to buy marijuana. He also admitted to drinking five beers in the hours prior to driving. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, he was transported to booking and charged with DUI.
