Metro Nashville Police Officer Connor Hosey says he was assisting a citizen with taking a photograph just after 2 a.m. on Broadway in downtown Nashville Saturday when 24-year-old Jonathan Pierre James came up and placed his arms around the neck of Hosey. While observers say it looked like horseplay, the Metro Nashville Police officer says he felt in fear of bodily injury and had Officer Caulder place the North Carolina tourist under arrest for assault.

William Haywood Routon charged with DUI after 3 IPAs — fell asleep behind the wheel

Metro Nashville Police were flagged down near West End and Cherokee Ave just after 11 p.m. Monday in response to a man asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle at a stop sign. The man, identified as 46-year-old William Haywood Routon, had just woken up and sped away at a high rate of speed, according to the woman who was flagging them down. Officers caught up with Routon as he drove toward his family’s $3 million estate on Ebenway Drive. He admitted to drinking “3 IPAs at a friend’s home” prior to driving and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Micaela Kirkwood charged with DUI — says she can’t even do field sobriety tests when sober

Nashville Police say 27-year-old Micaela Kirkwood was swerving wildly in and out of lanes on Rosa Parks Blvd and driving up the center median early Monday morning. As officers conducted a traffic stop, the smell of a “sweet alcohol” was coming from Kirkwood and her vehicle. She admitted to drinking wine, but calmed it was hours earlier, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. At one point, she stated: “I can’t even do this sober!” during field sobriety tests and was wobbly on her feet. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Kristen Gaines charged in assault of girlfriend in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police say 34-year-old tourist Kristen Gaines locked herself inside a bathroom of a downtown residence Sunday while threatening to kill herself. She eventually exited the bathroom, and when her girlfriend, Heather Hobby, asked her what was wrong, she reportedly lunged at her, grabbed her, and tossed her over the couch, at which point she began to hit and scratch the victim. Police documented a partial recording of the incident, along with injuries and a torn shirt on the victim.

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville late Saturday night responded to a fight at Nudie’s Honky Tonk on Broadway. They encountered 22-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Hunter Fairweather and his friend, Ironne Coley, who were in an argument with bouncers at the location. Fairweather reportedly kicked the bouncer, Deangelo Ridloy, after Coley knocked him to the ground. Officers documented injuries to the victim and watched a video of the assault.

Late Saturday night, the top floor of Nudie’s Honky Tonk reached maximum capacity, and security staff positioned themselves at the bottom of the steps to prevent any more patrons from entering that level. As 24-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Ironne ‘Ron’ Coley attempted to go upstairs, he was stopped by bouncer Deangelo Ridloy, and the two began to argue and cause a large disturbance. Coley then punched the bouncer in the face, knocking him to the floor. Coley then jumped on top of the bouncer and began to beat him. Coley’s friend, fellow soldier Hunter Fairweather, then also assaulted the bouncer while he was down. Police observed a video of the assault and documented multiple injuries on the victim.

46-year-old tourist Dale Stalley was told he needed to leave Kid Rock’s bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville early Sunday morning after he was being disorderly at the location. Bouncer Everett Libolt says Stalley smacked him on the ass and told him he wasn’t going anywhere while threatening to fight him. He then got in the bouncer’s face attempting to strike him, and more security helped to detain Stalley.

Derick Zhang bites Nashville Underground bouncer & spits blood in face of another bouncer — three times!

23-year-old Derick Zhang attempted to enter Nashville Underground just before 1 a.m. Sunday, along with his girlfriend, Hae Weon Lee. Due to her extreme level of intoxication, security refused entry to his girlfriend, which angered Zhang. After an initial argument, they walked away, but Zhang quickly returned to shout profanities at the bouncers and demand his girlfriend be allowed to enter. He then attempted to punch the security staff and missed on the first try. Bouncers Montgomery Allen and Ryan Jaggassar then attempted to restrain and detain him. During the tussle, Zhang bit Allen on his right calf and then spit the blood from Allen into the face of Jaggassar three times. Police arrived and took Zhang into custody.

22-year-old Andrew Provenzano was attending the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Nashville Friday night when police say he violated an unspecified policy of the venue and was escorted out by Apex Security and told to leave the property for the duration of the event. Upset that the Black Summer would go on without him, Provenzano decided to Give it Away, his freedom that is, and get to the Otherside, knowing he Cant Stop and took on a full-speed run, Easily making it through all security checkpoints. Police then took him into custody for trespassing and transported him to booking.

Three charged after chase: Shy’Marie’On Link, Terrence Brown, & Jamari Aikens

On Thursday evening, Metro Nashville Police began following a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Terrance Brown with their helicopter, Air ONE. Officers observed Brown park the vehicle on Lombardia Lane in Madison and walk toward the residence with his two passengers, 21-year-old Shy’Marie’On Link, and 22-year-old Jamari Aikens. Link walked to the rear of the home, where police say he dumped a stolen Glock 19 handgun and 20 grams of marijuana. Officers conducted Terry stops on all three individuals and also searched the vehicle, where they found a second Glock 23 handgun in plain view, a loaded AR-556 pistol, 89 grams of marijuana, and 3 Hydrocodone pills. No one made any admissions about the guns or marijuana, so all three were charged. Jamari Aikens, who owned the car, admitted to the pills.

Halee Persinger charged after punching boyfriend in face during cocaine withdrawals

22-year-old Halee Anne Persinger and the father of her children, Isaiah Cooke, were visiting her parents earlier this week when she became upset that she no longer had custody of her children and couldn’t take them back with her. Both her mother and Isaiah told police about her history of drug use and that she was currently withdrawing from cocaine and was acting erratically. When Isaiah took her outside to attempt to defuse the situation away from the children, she punched him in the face, which was also witnessed by her mother, Leslie Jones.

Fugitive Cheyenne Paige found with drugs in his prison pocket at Nashville Jail

29-year-old Cheyenne Paige was found to be trespassing inside the laundry room at The Village at Crestview Apartments in Madison Wednesday morning. When officers checked his identity to charge him with criminal trespassing, they realized he was a wanted fugitive out of Arkansas. Nothing was found on him during a search, however, once he was at booking, deputies at the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office located a quantity of marijuana, a folded dollar bill containing an unknown substance, and two now broken blue pills inside the rear body cavity of Cheyenne Paige. It was unclear how long he had just been walking around with the bounty in his booty.

Michelle Branch arrested after slapping Patrick Carney in face during argument over marriage

Nashville Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Chickering Lane in the early morning hours of August 11th to find 39-year-old Michelle Branch, who stated she argued with her husband, Patrick Carney, over their marriage. Branch admitted to slapping Carney in the face, which coincided with Carney’s account of the evening. Branch was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Eirneshia Carter went before a night court magistrate and swore out an affidavit of harassment against 24-year-old Imani Fleming on March 16th. She stated that she repeatedly told Fleming not to contact her, and twice within six weeks, she texted her and called her another two times. One of those texts challenged Carter to a fight. Fleming was booked on the outstanding warrant on Tuesday and is charged with harassment/causing emotional distress.

Matthew Stephens says one of his roommates, 32-year-old Elijah Leavens, came “storming out of his room in a fit of rage” on June 20th as Matthew was confronting another roommate about finding moldy food in the kitchen as he returned from an out-of-town trip. Elijah was reportedly not involved in the conversation yet began an argument. He then punched a hole in the shared bathroom door. A warrant for vandalism was issued for his arrest, which he was booked on this week.

DUI: Luxury Realtor Jodie Barringer overdoses after taking ‘pill from a friend’ and driving; revived by NFD

57-year-old Josephine ‘Jodie’ Barringer was booked this week on an outstanding citation from May charging her with DUI. Nashville Fire says they were the first to arrive at the scene on May 4th to find Barringer unconscious in the driver’s seat of her Volvo XC60, which had crashed on Woodmont Blvd, striking a fire hydrant and a utility pole. First responders administered 4mg of NARCAN, and she regained consciousness while being loaded into the ambulance. She admitted to taking a pill that a friend gave her prior to driving but denied knowing what it was. Officers say she was sweating profusely and was very disheveled in her appearance. She was transported to the hospital and given a state citation in lieu of arrest.

Tourist Marcel Gonzalez knees MNPD Officer in groin when attempting to adjust his cuffs after arrest

Metro Nashville Police responded to an intoxicated trespasser at the JW Marriott Hotel Friday in downtown Nashville. Hotel staff identified a person in the valley lane, 33-year-old Marcel Gonzalez, as the man who refused to leave and was “frothing at the mouth.” Officers attempted to locate a friend or relative to help him get to his destination or to retrieve him but were unable to contact anyone despite multiple attempts. He was then deemed to be a danger to himself and taken into custody. He refused to be cuffed and actively resisted when officers were cuffing him. Once at the downtown detention center inside the Sally port, Gonzalez complained his cuffs were hurting him due to the tightness. Officers approached him and attempted to loosen his cuffs for his satisfaction, at which point he kneed Officer James Hill in the groin.

31-year-old Charles Maxwell entered the closed race track of the Music City Grand Prix on Friday and refused to leave. Race staff eventually contacted Metro Nashville Police, who also encountered Maxwell and explained he had to leave the restricted area. He continued to refuse and was obviously intoxicated. Officers transported him to booking and charged him with public intoxication.

Drunk National Guard Recruiter Taylor Stoeckman threatens to kill Nashville Police Officer — Pretrial Release

28-year-old Former Marine turned National Guard Recruiter Taylor Stoeckman was jailed late Monday night after security at Nashville Underground on Broadway in downtown Nashville had to take him to the ground and hold him there until police arrived. Stoeckman was reportedly extremely intoxicated, which resulted in him being denied entry to the venue. Despite his continued shouting and unruly behavior, and complaints of not being able to see, he refused medical treatment. Officers then attempted to call his friends to come and get him, but Stoeckman was unable to unlock his phone. Officers asked him to sit down while they attempted other methods to contact his friends, but he became even more unruly. He was then advised he was being taken into custody, at which time he assumed a fighting stance and used his body to prevent from being placed into the patrol car. He then threatened to strangle the arrested officer to death, and once at booking, he continued to resist going into the building.

Musician Trey Calloway charged with DUI in Nashville; asks police to stop embarrassing him

Metro Nashville Police & fire responded to I-40 East near White Bridge Pike in the early hours of Monday morning and pulled 30-year-old Nashville Musician Franklin “Trey” Calloway out of his Ford F-150, which he crashed. Multiple Nashville Firefighters say Calloway told them he had been drinking, and police say he reeked of alcohol upon contact. As he tried to stand on his own, officers had to catch him several times as he attempted to topple over. He motioned he “wasn’t sure” when asked how much alcohol he had consumed, and after the first two field sobriety tests, Calloway stated, “I know I’ve failed the tests already; why are you embarrassing me?” and refused all other tests.
