45-year-old Mina Yousef was arrested Saturday afternoon for two counts of domestic assault. Police say Mina was having an argument with his wife, Amira, when he got in her face and said to her, “DON’T MAKE ME DO IT.” Fearing for her life, Amira pushed her husband away, but he pushed back and hit her hands away. Their juvenile son, having seen this decided to intervene by putting himself between his parents. Mina responded by kicking his son in the stomach.

Kiara Neely charged in assault of sister, Ciara Neely

19-year-old Kiara Kalandra Neely was arrested Sunday and charged with domestic assault. Police say the incident began Saturday evening when Kiara’s sister, Ciara Neely, refused to leave Kiara’s apartment. Kiara called police and stated her sister Ciara had a stick and was refusing to leave. Kiara admitted to hitting her sister first to get her to leave. During the ensuing fight, Kiara punched Ciara in the stomach and slapped her in the face. Ciara also says her sister bit her hand. Police observed no physical injuries to Kiara, but Ciara had scratches on her face and hand. When asked to clarify the use of the stick, Kiara told police Ciara didn’t hit anyone with the stick. At this point, police determined Kiara Neely to be the primary aggressor and placed her under arrest for domestic assault, and transported her to booking.

Devon Blair punches doorman in face at Red Door Saloon

32-year-old Devon Leshane Blair was charged with disorderly conduct and assault early Friday morning at The Red Door Saloon on Division St. Witnesses told police that they saw Blair acting disorderly after being told to leave and then he punched the doorman in the face after he was asked to leave the bar; an assault that Blair freely admitted to when questioned by police. Upon arrival on the scene, officers reported witnessing Blair actively attempting to fight someone, causing officers to have to get in the middle of the altercation to avoid another physical altercation from breaking out. Officers detained Blair, and he acted disorderly and verbally aggressively throughout his arrest.

DUI: Joey Riser crashes into parked car at Music City Center

36-year-old Joseph Tabor Riser is charged with driving under the influence after driving his vehicle into an unoccupied vehicle at Music City Center in downtown Nashville. Riser was taken to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital after he told paramedics he was having a medical emergency. Officers met with Mr. Riser at the hospital, where he told police he had been drinking but only had “two bourbons.” He also informed police he was charged with a DUI in South Carolina 5 years ago, but a conviction wasn’t located during a search. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.

Gregory Alvarez says he was “drunk as hell” as he called 911 sixteen times from the hospital

24-year-old Gregory Alejandro Alvarez says he was “drunk as hell” after drinking four shots of tequila, two beers, and two cups of wine before calling 911 sixteen times… from inside Metro General Hospital. Alvarez had been discharged from the hospital after being treated for an unrelated incident, claiming that hospital staff had stolen his money. Dispatchers advised him to stop calling 911 for this matter multiple times on multiple calls, yet the calls continued to come into the Emergency Communications Center.

Wayne Seagraves charged with DUI after midtown motorcycle crash

46-year-old Carl Wayne Seagraves crashed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the intersection of 8th & Demonbreun on November 9th. When police arrived, they overheard Seagraves ask his friend, “Am I going to get a DUI?” Officers observed him to be visibly intoxicated and with slurred speech. He refused all sobriety tests and was transported to the hospital for a leg injury. A search warrant was granted for his blood. Due to being treated medically, he was issued a state citation for DUI and was booked on that citation this week.

Melissa McClain has NY strip, loaf of bread, Clifty farm ham & ribeye in her purse at Kroger

59-year-old Melissa Gay McClain pulled a loaf of swirl bread, a Clifty Farm ham, a NY Strip steak, and a boneless beef ribeye from her purse after she was caught shoplifting on December 10th at a Clarksville Pike Kroger in Nashville. Loss prevention initially observed her taking the items and passing the self-checkout area. She stated she was low on food at home and only had $3 on her food stamp card, so she was forced to steal the food to eat. The loss prevention officer, Latosha Michelle Hall, called Metro Nashville Police, who asked if she wanted to prosecute for the crime. She stated she was a contracted 3rd party employee for Kroger, and she personally wanted to prosecute for the theft, signing a private protection warrant. McClain is free on a $1,000 bond.

Police say 26-year-old Lydia Wilson drove head-on into a guard rail on the exit ramp of I-40E at exit 219 in the early hours of Sunday morning. She claimed the airbags randomly deployed, causing her to crash. She admitted to consuming “2 beers” before driving but refused to say how long ago or what size beers. She later revised that to say she had “2 glasses of wine at the GOAT bar in Mt. Juliet” and was on her way to the Christmas pop-up bar at the Noel Hotel in downtown Nashville. Officers say she reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

21-year-old Jalyn Brenae Miller was jailed this week on multiple outstanding warrants for theft from Bed Bath & Beyond. Miller was one of three boosters who each stole a comforter set from the Madison Store in October. During an interview, police say Miller positively identified her two accomplices, Lundyia Woods and Alexis Flemmings. A second warrant alleges that the week after the first theft, Miller came back into the store and stole $700 worth of merchandise.

Levi Norwine charged with disorderly conduct after tow truck incident in Nashville

28-year-old Levi K. Norwine’s vehicle was being towed for a traffic violation on December 11th, and as the two truck driver was loading the vehicle, Norwine jumped onto the tow truck, causing a scene. As the driver was attempting to drive away, Norwine continued to jump onto the truck, saying he needed to retrieve more items from the vehicle. Police say 33-year-old Andee Cannon was attempting to cross a street in downtown Nashville when a MNPD contracted APS Security Officer attempted to stop him from crossing into traffic. Cannon reportedly punched the security officer and was then tackled to the ground, and the security officer was on top of him when police arrived to assist. Cannon stated he “wasn’t trying to get tied up in all this” and was “just trying to go home.” Due to his level of intoxication and disorderly conduct, he was taken into custody.

A 17-year-old girl says 21-year-old Eric Estrada was drinking Friday night and crawled onto the couch where she was sleeping and began to touch and kiss her while pointing a gun at her head and stomach. She says she was eventually able to push him away and run to the bathroom, where she screamed for help and then ran to the bedroom where Estrada’s girlfriend, Yenis Betancourth, and infant daughter were sleeping. A gunshot was then heard and reported by multiple people in the area. Officers took Estrada into custody and recovered a loaded Glock 19.

21-year-old Ryan Kennie faces a half-dozen charges after a brawl in the early hours of Saturday morning at Jason Aldean’s bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Officers responded to 307 Broadway to break up a fight that was spilling onto the sidewalk outside the venue. During the struggle to separate parties, Kennie kicked a police Sergeant in the leg, rolled over an offer’s hand by force, kicked an officer, breaking his body-work camera, and eventually puked in the back of a patrol car once he was hobble-restrained in custody. Kennie was transported to Metro General for medical clearance and then to booking.

Jaylin Sanford charged after making threats to 15-year-old boy via Facetime

18-year-old Jaylin Sanford is charged with harassment after he reportedly made threats to Robyn Henley and her 15-year-old son. Court records allege Sanford Facetimed the teenage boy and threatened to kill him while displaying a Glock 19 with a laser sight on the gun. A day after the first incident, Sanford reportedly Facetimed once again, threatening to shoot up their house. Sanford then continued the threats via texts from multiple numbers, placing the family in fear for their safety.

DUI: Josephine Mullins leaves Jelly Roll concert, drives over the barriers on Broadway — 0.229% BAC

27-year-old Josephine Mullins says she had “3 or 6 drinks” at the Jelly Roll concert Friday night before getting behind the wheel of her vehicle to drive home. As she drove onto Broadway, she impacted and drove over a large orange and white traffic barricade. Officers immediately responded from nearby and found her to be heavily intoxicated. Inside the vehicle, there were five empty fireball shooters, along with a white tumbler with about a quarter of the liquid remaining. She performed (very) poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.229% BAC on a breathalyzer – nearly three times the legal limit in Tennessee.

Darrica Fleming throws slices of pizza at Domino’s manager as she returns it

24-year-old Darrica Fleming was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant charging her with an assault in August 2020. Natasha Lugo says she was working as an assistant manager at Domino’s Pizza when Fleming entered the business to return a pizza she was unhappy with. Fleming then threw two slices of pizza at the victim and attacked her as she came around the counter to escort her out of the building. Fleming fled, but the incident was captured on video, and she was identified in a lineup.

Titans Superfan Matthew Mattax headbutts cops, spits on them, after being ejected from game

26-year-old Titans Superfan Matthew Mattax was ejected from Sunday’s game due to “unruly behavior” and his level of intoxication. As he was escorted to the gates, Mattax began to yell and scream, causing MNPD officers to take notice of him. Due to his continued behavior, officers decided to take him into custody for public intoxication, but Mattax pulled away and refused to comply with the arrest. He headbutted Officer Sharpe and spit in his face before he could be fully restrained. Once at the jail, Mattax again began to spit on officers, hitting Officer Malone with his saliva multiple times and Officer Studer three times before he was “guided to a bench” in holding.

Tourist Todd Martin charged after letting it loose in downtown Nashville

Police say 33-year-old Todd Martin Jr. was urinating on the wall of a business at 2nd & Broadway in the middle of downtown Nashville at 11:30 pm. Friday. He was visibly heavily intoxicated, and officers checked on his welfare. He could not answer any questions clearly, and officers walked him to 1st & Broadway so he could arrange a rideshare home or wait safely for someone to pick him up. He became combative and would not comply with simple instructions, and was unable to contact anyone or tell officers where he was staying. With no other options, Martin was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Michelle Carter bounced from Tootsie’s after Jelly Roll concert

42-year-old Michelle Carter was asked to leave Tootsie’s bar in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning, and once outside, continued to ask to go back inside to retrieve her purse and cell phone. Bouncers refused her request but advised they would retrieve it for her. She stated it was with a man named “Kevin,” but he was not located inside. When asked to provide the phone number of someone who could pick her up, she gave the number of her estranged husband, in Memphis. She was unable to name her hotel so she could be transported there, and was eventually taken into custody for public intoxication. When informed of her charges, Carter explained that she was just enjoying her night after the Jelly Roll concert, and she was not driving, so she couldn’t be charged with public intoxication.

Rebecca Haney deemed too drunk for downtown Nashville

34-year-old Rebecca Haney was observed running down Broadway in the early hours of Saturday morning, just before last call, striking police vehicles with her hands and kicking traffic cones into lanes of traffic. Officers asked her to pick up the traffic cones, and she refused and yelled at them. She continued to scream at police throughout their interaction and was deemed to be too intoxicated for downtown Nashville.
