Nashville Police say 31-year-old Nashville recording artist and producer ‘Mannie B.’ (Emanuel Blackwell) used a stolen handgun to bang on the patio door of his ex-girlfriend’s apartment while she was inside watching a movie with her current boyfriend. An arrest warrants details he confronted her, saying “you got another dude in here, don’t act like I won’t do to you what I have done to you in the past!”
Metro Nashville Police responded to the apartment of Emanuel Blackwell’s ex-girlfriend, Lakisha Johnson, just before 10 p.m. on Friday night. She stated she was inside watching a movie with her current boyfriend, Terrance, when ‘Mannie’ began aggressively knocking on her patio door. As he saw her through the window he screamed “you got another dude in here, don’t act like I won’t do to you what I have done to you in the past” and walked back to his vehicle. She notes he was physically abusive during their relationship and had previously threatened her with a gun during arguments.
He returned from his vehicle with a handgun and then used it to beat on the door even more aggressively, at which time she called 911. As police arrived he was walking back toward his vehicle, and they located the pistol in his right pocket. A records check confirmed it was stolen.
Emanuel Blackwell, 31, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail at 12:01 a.m. on 08/14, charged with domestic assault/fear of bodily injury, and theft. He is free on a $3,500 bond.
