27-year-year old Kennetha ‘Michelle’ Blaylock is free on a $30,000 bond after police say she followed a shoplifting couple out of the Whites Creek convenience store she was working at, firing three shots into the wheel wells of the vehicle after both occupants were inside it.
Kennetha ‘Michelle’ Blaylock was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Wednesday morning on two felony warrants, each charging her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon from an event that occurred on February 23rd in Whites Creek. Metro Nashville police report that Blaylock was working at the Twice Daily at 501 Hickory Hills Blvd just before midnight when Byron Humes and Stacey Thompson were shoplifting from the convenience store.
She reportedly followed the two outside of the store and retreated from her. Blaylock brandished a firearm, and security video shows the pair continuing to back away and get in their vehicle. Byron throws a bottle of water at Blaylock, but never approaches her. After the pair are in the vehicle, Blaylock fires a round into the front driver’s side wheel well once, then again a moment later. She then moves to her right and fires a round into the rear driver’s side wheel well. Both victims were in the vehicle when she fired upon it.
Blaylock claims she only brandished her weapon after Byron displayed a pocket knife as he was retreating from the store. Kennetha ‘Michelle’ Blaylock was booked into the Metro Nashville jail, charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Blaylock was released on a $30,000 bond to her 4904 Ellen Way address in Antioch.
