46-year-old Yunna Sanders was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after fleeing the scene where her lover told police she had been following him around with a kitchen knife.
On October 19th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a domestic assault call at 879 Claiborne Street. According to the affidavit, Yunna Sanders and Lashawn Curry were in their home when Yunna started getting upset about their intimacy.
Lashawn reported that Yunna started to yell at him to leave the home when she grabbed a kitchen knife. He told police she followed him around the home with it while yelling at him. At one point, she held the knife up, as if to make a stabbing motion. While officers spoke with Lashawn, he complained of pain in his left arm. Officers noted a hole in his shirt, and a fresh laceration consistent with a bladed object. Yunna fled the scene before officers arrived.
On November 25th, Yunna Sanders was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
