Police charge man after witnessing him shove his brother in a public park

50-year-old Juan M. Cruz was charged with domestic assault after the police witnessed him shove his brother with both hands in Dallas Neil Park.

On November 12th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a fight that was reported in the area of Dallas Neil Park at the intersection of Wedgewood Avenue and 8th Avenue South.

When officers arrived, they observed Juan M. Cruz shoving Juan T. Cruz with both hands. According to the affidavit, the officers had prior knowledge that the men are brothers. Juan T. Cruz stated they began to argue when he attempted to calm his brother down out of fear he would fight a stranger.

Juan M. Cruz was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
