According to the affidavit, when Eliseo refused his roommate grabbed him by his shirt and began to strangle him for about two minutes. He stated Ernesto proceeded to release him, grabbed a knife, put it to his throat, and told him “I have killed seven, you will be eight” in Spanish. Ernesto attacked Eliseo that day as well while he was intoxicated. He stole money from his roommate’s pocket after he refused again. Before stealing from him he reportedly pushed him to the ground and put his knee on his neck. Officers recovered the knife from yesterday, observed a small scratch on Eliseo’s nose from the altercation, and that Ernesto was intoxicated. Officers recovered $17 that was in Ernesto’s possession.

Ernesto Sanchez was arrested and charged with robbery and attempted aggravated robbery. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
