Connecticut man charged with vandalism after breaking friends phone

25-year-old Troy Lavigne was charged with vandalism after he reportedly became upset for an unknown reason while drinking at a bar and threw his friend’s phone causing it to break.

On November 5th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a domestic call at Niido Nashville apartments on 501 5th Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Taylor Lynch and a witness separately.

They both stated while drinking at the bar with Troy Lavigne, he randomly became upset and threw Lynch’s phone causing it to break. Per the affidavit, the officers observed Lynch’s screen was broken. Due to the evidence and statements given, Lavigne was determined to be the primary aggressor.

Troy Lavigne was arrested and charged with vandalism. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
