Woman turns argument physical when she punches, bites, and strangles boyfriend

26-year-old Latressa Penniman was charged with domestic assault after she strangled her boyfriend during an argument until he couldn’t breathe.

On October 11th, officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at 118B Hardaway Drive. When officers arrived, they found Torion Cruthcer, along with his mother, upset and shouting. Torion was standing on top of a car and told police he and Latressa Penniman had been in an argument.

He reported that Latressa Penniman punched him in the face several times, bit him on the shoulder, and at one point she strangled him until he was not able to breathe. Officers noted Torion had visible red marks on his forehead and stomach, as well as bite marks on his back.

Latressa Penniman was charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. She has been released on a $1,500 bond.
