Woman tells police she didn’t know borrowed car was stolen

23-year-old Jacqueline Howard-Blanchette was charged with theft of a vehicle after a woman reported that she saw her stolen car being driven down Murfreesboro Pike.

On September 28th, Abby Patrick, the owner of a stolen 2007 Toyota Yaris, was driving down Murfreesboro Pike when she saw her stolen car turning into the Rodeway Inn located at 893 Murfreesboro Pike. She notified the police, who were quick to respond, and were able to conduct a traffic stop on the car.

When asked about the car, Jacqueline told the officer that the car was being loaned to her from her friend “Fifty” and that she borrowed the car for five days and didn’t know it was stolen.

Jacqueline Howard-Blanchette was arrested and charged with theft of a vehicle. Her bond was set at $5,000.
