Man charged with burglary 5 months after forcing entry and stealing a cell phone

47-year-old Mario Martin was charged with aggravated burglary after he forced entry into a woman’s home while she was present and stole her cell phone.

On April 22nd, Mario Martin showed up at Ronda Batey’s house unannounced. Ronda was currently present at her place of residence. When Ronda refused to let Mario in he forced his way past her by shoving her out of the way.

Mario then ran past her to the bedroom and grabbed a cell phone, turned around, and ran back out of the apartment door. Mario fled the scene and was taken into custody five months later.

On September 2nd, Mario Martin was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. His bond was set at $2,500.
