23-year-old Lourele London was charged with reckless endangerment and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when he recklessly fired a Glock on his mother’s boyfriend in front of a minor.
On July 13th, it was reported that Lourele London shot his mother’s boyfriend, James Thomas, in the leg. Thomas informed police that Lourele had been living in the home with him and Lourele’s mother Kista London, who stated that she and Lourele had been arguing in Mr. Thomas’s bedroom when Lourele left the room.
Shortly after, he returned and proceeded to shoot Mr. Thomas in his left thigh. Ms. London then advised authorities that he raised the gun again, at this point Ms. London stepped in front of Mr. Thomas in hopes to prevent him from firing a second time. Although Ms. London gave officers a description of her son, she refused to disclose his name or her relationship to him. But because of Mr. Thomas’ statement, authorities were able to identify the shooter as Lourele. In addition to these statements, Ms. London advised authorities that her juvenile grandson was in the room when these events took place.
On August 17th, Lourele London was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $250,000.
