Elderly woman “inappropriately” touches herself in acquaintances’ home

68-year-old Shirley Ewers was charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and public intoxication when she walked into a home she was previously evicted from and began touching herself inappropriately.

On August 27th, Metro Nashville officers were called to 3303 Belmont Boulevard where Shane Roberts reported that Shirley Ewers entered the room he rents in the home “and started touching her body inappropriately in front of him.” Roberts went to Mrs. Batani for help, who told Ewers to leave and not to come back. Batani told authorities that Ewers previously rented a room in the home, but she was evicted.

Batani continued by saying she does not lock the front door and that is how Ewers got inside the home. Police on the scene could smell alcohol on Ewers and she admitted to drinking wine. Ewers was also unsteady on her feet during questioning. She was taken into custody thereafter.

Shirley Ewers was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and public intoxication. Her bond was set at $1,100.
