28-year-old Brittany Friedlien was charged with driving under the influence after nearly driving her two children off an embankment while under the influence of Suboxone.
On August 12th, police received several calls for a spastic driver almost causing multiple accidents. One specific call mentioned that at 1414 County Hospital Road a vehicle had driven off an embankment. When officers reached the scene they found Brittany Friedlien along with her two children.
She claimed that her vehicle was in park when she was attempting to strap her daughter into the car seat in the rear and that her 11-year-old son may have whacked the vehicle out of park causing it to go off the embankment. The son stated his mother, Friedlien, was traveling down a dead-end road and attempted to get out, but she drove too far and right off the edge. Friedlien confirmed she had taken a prescribed Suboxone pill.
Brittany Friedlien was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant. She was later freed on pre-trial release.
